I'm really impressed with the look of the UI, it really makes the game look good! I'm also impressed with everyone who manages to make good puzzles in such a short amount of time haha, well done!

@Deeperbiege it was fun, the art style was amazing, music and sfxs were not letting me leave the game, great job mate, hopefully, you will keep working on this one after the jam :D
The artwork of this game is very well-polished. Also, I really like the background music. It sounds calm and pleasant. The ideas of the game are brilliant. All of the levels are pretty well made and clever. The game concept is not hard to comprehend, but I had a lot of fun playing the game. Well done! Nice job for a 48h work!
the game is really cool , and also as a puzzle maker I can tell this is really well made and executed. rating the highest for ya bud .
(also are you trying to virus my computer >:( )
Really pretty visual presentation. Very clean.
I like the positioning of UI and instructions around the levels. Amazing job!
Also I love the random placement and animation of aliens' eyes :D
Excellent presentation. Very slick controls. I appreciate that the music fit with the nursery theme, but it could use a little pep!
Thanks for the great review!
Music is really subjective. One person's Bach is another person's elevator music! Hence the option to mute it with M. Although honestly I just picked the most appropriate piece of music I already had a license to use, which I think was the Balloon theme from Hanna in a Choppa 2.
Wow the presentation is amazing :O The sliding sound effect and the whoosh sound effect makes the game responsive and alive. The idea is basic but the execution made it so fun to play with. The levels intruduce ideas naturaly so there wasnt any confusion at the star :D
The only negative thing i can say is sometimes i made a small mistake at the end of the level an had to start again :/ but that is acceptable becouse of the puzzle games nature.
Overall great presentation and fun game loved it keep up the work :D
I loved the way your levels were laid out. Smooth introduction to the mechanics, very nice visual style and a fun mechanic. Very well done!!
Fantastic game! This might be the best I've seen until now. You have definitely had experience with puzzle design and game-making in general. I definitely had that 'aha' moment Mark Brown talked about.
Loves:
- Great UI. clean art and cute animations. Looks polished overall.
- Enjoyable puzzles that had me thinking hard throughout.
- The game eases you into its mechanics, so that you won't get overwhelmed fast
- Calm fitting music and good sfx
Nitpicks:
- I couldn't find any so I'm just gonna say that my antivirus flagged your game as a virus. Pretty suspicious there buddy...
Thanks for your kind review!
Yes, I have lots of experience making puzzle games. I have lots of experience making many kinds of games, in fact! If you want to see more, check out my website: http://deeperbeige.com
Yeah, antivirus goes nuts on unknown, unsigned executables with only a few downloads. I promise there's no digital nasties in there! Every other game I've downloaded for reviewing in this jam did the same. I did try a WebGL export, but after 2 hours of messing around I couldn't get it to work, so I gave up and used the time elsewhere.
I thought at first that it'd be a quick and easy run-through, but some of those puzzles had me stumped for a while. Great level design!
Great puzzles! There were some real head scratchers in there! Very impressive to come up with those puzzles in the span of a weekend.
The minor nitpicks I have are, I wish there was an undo button (though it's definitely tough to get that in due to time constraints) and I think that instead of cycling through each parent blob w/ space, you could use something like Q/E to go back/forward through the parent blobs?
Overall, great work!
Thanks for your kind comments. I wish there was an undo history too, but I felt that the time would be better spent elsewhere. Game jams, y'know! I tried to keep most of the puzzles short so that it wouldn't be too annoying if you made a mistake. I also haven't locked out any of the puzzles, you're free to skip around them if you get stuck.
You can actually reverse the selection order by holding shift. But even then when there's lots of them it's still cumbersome to find a particular alien. Doesn't really help that the order of selection is essentially whatever order Unity initialises them in. That even changes from load to load in the editor! I think a better solution would have been able to use the mouse to select too, as well as space/tab to cycle through them.
Did you solve all the levels? I added a walkthrough video, just to show that they are all possible...
Great and polished game! Got stuck on level 10 but I really liked the game especially the idea of having different kinds of aliens
Thanks for your kind words!
Did you spot that you could skip levels with < and > ? I did that in case anyone got stuck with one, and wanted to move on past it to see the rest. I'm going to produce a walkthrough video in a bit too. As it's just a games jam, it doesn't make sense to have locked levels.
Thanks for your kind review!
I spent a couple of hours trying to get a WebGL version to work. I finally seemed to get everything ready and working locally, then when I uploaded it to itch.io it broke again in a totally new way. So I made the decision to go back to the executable version and work on polish instead. I agree however, browser based games are much better for a jam like this.
That's a bug, not a nitpick. Well spotted! It seems obvious now I think about it, but the way it works relies on being the same alien all the time. I deliberately allowed you to change half way through a movement anim (it feels better that way) but that was before the blue sliders were in! Thanks for playing and reviewing anyway. Did you submit a game?
This game blows me away. It's so well-designed and polished. Often times puzzle jam games have only a few levels, but this one has a whopping fifteen and they're actually well-thought-out! The UI is great, and the little animations and sound effects make this a really charming experience. It's hard to believe this was made by one person in such a short time!
