Very well made game. I don't know if I ever fully understood what was happening, but it was fun to move the paddles around and whack the balls everywhere. Things exploded, and eventually I'd win lol! Very good job!

Great design solutions! It was fun, by holding A and pressing sometiems SPACE I could kill them all. The sound was great! Nice job!

Superb design! You wove the theme through every mechanic and every moment of play - it felt like playing the essence of the theme itself!

Submitted

Excellent! The mechanics seemed very well thought-out and the effects felt really good.

Did you initially plan to have bricks in the game?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Never thought about bricks in the game really, we started with fission and fusion being related to the theme, and then we added on the laser. So the paddles sort of came out of needing a way to control the balls. So yeah I guess that's the part we took from breakout rather than the bricks.

It's well over 30°C right now and my brain can't handle too much of it, but this is a very polished cool little game. Sound is great and has an impact. Well executed. Really good!

Hahah thanks for playing! We appreciate your feedback :)

I don't think I ever had this much fun playing a game of this genre - really well done, the controls are fluid and it feels great to trap the enemies in the beam. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! That's exactly what we wanted, glad you enjoyed !

This is really fun! We explored mixing together breakout with other games and space invaders was one of the mashups we considered. Really happy to see that someone else built it! I like the idea of charging the ball and creating lasers between the balls to kill the ships, works very well. I'd love to see what you think of our game!

Thanks for playing! Checking out entries always surprises me since you often see a lot of ideas you went through made playable by others. Its like we're all part of this game dev hive brain :P

Great Job! I really enjoyed the mechanics of it and the vibe! I agree that it feels like trying to pat your head and rub your belly! Love it!

Thanks for playing! We're glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Very fun! It felt a bit like trying to pat your head and rub your belly and my brain enjoyed that feeling! Thank you! Also I love the art style feels very Tron! Excellent job!

Developer

hahah really liked the analogy about the controls! Thanks for playing, we appreciate the feedback :)

This was really fun. Nice work! I really liked the powerups.

Super cool effects! A lot of the basic concepts could be explained better, though they make sense after playing a few rounds. The aesthetic style definitely adds to the fun.

Developer

yeah we admit the tutorial was a bit rushed but glad to hear it made sense in a few rounds. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Sound effects are perfect, gameplay is very smooth but a bit messy, graphics are ok. In general a satisfying experience. Congratulations!

Submitted

Good job! I liked the game, but as other said, a better explained tutorial would be great.

Developer

noted! We'll need to look into that if we were to do a post jam update. Thanks for playing!

I don't think just a and d was good for controls. That's my only complaint tho

Developer

Thanks for playing! What'd you have preferred for controls instead?

Submitted

I think it should've just been wasd. It's probably just me but I find it weird using a and d when going up and down

Nice idea, took some time to understand that I could explode to kill the enemies.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah we probably could've used a more structured tutorial to explain it. We appreciate the feedback.
