Really digging this track. Opening is very haunting, I love how the lead almost sounds like a lighthouse fog horn. I can hear a bit of John Carpenter in this as well. You really built up the drama in the middle third. Well done!

Description
This is a sea/ship based adventure game soundtrack. It features mostly classical instruments and has four parts to it:
'Out of the fog' is used when the player is trying to not run aground on rocks or reefs in....fog.
'Clear sailing' would be used when travelling between ports or islands.
'Stormy sea' is for when the player has to sail through a storm while trying not to sink.
'Home harbour' would be used in a cut scene at the end of the game when you make it to your goal.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
It represents a seaborn adventure with dangerous shallows, terrible storms, wide open spaces and a triumphant ending.

very nice. I like how it's many different part, but they flow into each other very well. the only small negative thing for me was, I had the impression I had to set my sound almost to maximum to listen to this. not sure if it's me or because it is too silent.
The foghorn-esque winds in 'Out of the fog' got me straight away, it sets the tone so well, and I like the subtle peril that sits underneath everything. It reminded me a lot of Sunless Sea, great work!
Sick. Absolutely excellent tracing of your game's emotional arc. Out of the Fog was definitely my favorite but Stormy Sea had such an amazing buildup.
Thank you! Another Ableton user, good to see! I'm using the 'free' version for the BBC samples.

You know from my entry that I like damp and misty settings, so I very much enjoy the nautical vibes.
Don't know a lot about sailing but after listening to your track I can hear just how strenuous and intense it is! I feel like the boat could capsize at any moment! Really great storytelling with your music. Great work! <3
Deciding to create music that alone exceeds 6 minutes is not the easiest choice: it requires excellent orchestral mastery to renew the interest of listening, writing skills to imaginate an exploitable melody and develop it in a coherent way, and a good harmonic knowledge to vary the chords and manage the tonal modulations. The challenge was not easy to meet, therefore, but it was hands down, in this piece with a particularly haunting atmosphere, as if emerging from the mist of a deceptively calm lake. Little by little, elements are added which disperse the fog against a background of discreet percussions. Then the brass arrives, announcing the dangers to come. Everything is done smoothly, before returning to the mist ... A beautiful progression that says a lot about the exciting and mysterious adventure that awaits the player of this imaginary game.
I really like how the winds sound like a boat horn at the beginning of the piece - Overall sounds great and feels boat-y!
you really hit the nail on the head with the instrumentation, this feels very nautical! love me a good sea track. :)
So good! Loved the atmosphere!
The 'Stormy sea' act reminds me of the soundtrack of A Link to the Past!
