Impressive! That's a lot of spectacle for a game jam game.

Really awesome concept: an audio visualizer with a game slapped on it! Very vibey and trippy. I really like the 3 different visual modes! I would tone the shooty sounds down a bit, they kinda ruin the excellent soundtrack.

Developer

thats what happens when you do audio integration with 20 minutes to go! ^^

I liked the music and shooting effects, but it'll probably be better if you tone down the effects a little cause it's hard to see from the menu and gameplay...

With calm, the spikey obsticles are really hard to see, otherwise great job, I like how the game sync with the beat. (Also game should start on calm incase someone is epileptic)

i know! the most annoying thing is i actually had a fix for that (different background colours) but i don't think i saved it properly? super lame <<

My head, ouchie >.<

did you try calm or vibe? They are slightly less intense  👀

playing on calm is a must, at least that way I have a slight idea of what I'm doing.

are you on macOS Big Sur?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

if so - you might have to open terminal and do:

xattr -cr /path/to/lucidity_macOS.app

(this is Apple's fault not mine, sorry 😭)

That worked, thanks!
