Very cute game! The jumps are unfortunately a little floaty and the platforming is kind of frustrating - I've bumped into the ceiling and fallen back down to the ground floor a few times - but the aesthetics are absolutely on point, and the experience was enjoyable.
The visual effect were great, I really loved that the enemy didn't harm you but instead made it harder to see. I loved the underlying message(s), subtle or less so.
Platforming was quite difficult but the story and theme application felt on-point.
okay I have opinions
minimalistic style? Yes please.
HATS. Literally an extra point in visuals just because hats.
Audio? All I have to say about this is 😍😍😍😍
Those speech bubbles work really well, and the sound effects for them are perfect!
The platforming is... uh... yeah. Pain. I usually like platformers, but I just wound up getting annoyed and uh maybe didn't entirely finish all the way through 👀 coyote time is a must. Variable jump height was a nice touch but really, you should've spent that time on coyote time. Also, faster movement speed please!! Felt like it took forever to get anywhere, and I know you were going for nice chill vibes but there's a point where that gets in the way 😬 I don't think you'd have lost any chill-ness for increasing the movement speed by 1.5x.
your criticism is entirely fair - i don’t think the level design does it any favours either ;)
we actually didn’t even have checkpoints until a couple hours before the deadline hehe
thank you for taking the time to play! we’ll implement this feedback (and some more improvements) in a director’s cut once rating time is over.
