nice minigames.  It would be nice to have some kind of interaction with the main "hub" screen.

Thanks for playing and I'm glad you liked the sounds! :)

I'm sorry that you couldn't get the second minigame, sometimes the random selection just doesn't want to change :(

In the other one, you can't move and have to shoot enemies coming at you, +1 point if you hit and -1 if you miss

And great job for your score! :D

Submitted(+1)

Loved the sound effects and soundtrack, nice way of doing those it really fits the game! Got up to 160 score in the shooting mini-game.

Submitted(+1)

I like your sound effects. They were quite entertaining. if your planning on continuing to work on this game after the jam an overarching goal to work towards would benefit this game. Each mini game should contribute to that goal.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

That's an idea worth noting, I'll try to see what I can do :)

Submitted(+1)

The games themselves are a bit simple, but I absolutely love the sound-design. The mini-game surprise also plays well into the theme.

Submitted

The 2 mini games felt a bit underwhelming  I would have loved to see more, the polish also could have been a bit better but overall its a decent game for 48 hours.

Developer

Hey, thanks for your comment :)

Care to elaborate the problems with polishing? I'd love to improve the game post-jam! :)

Submitted(+1)

Sure! I would love to, on the shooting enemies that get closer to you stage, the enemies just stop where they are and show the death sprite, then disapper, what I would love to see is maybe a little particle effect, and its a bit unclear of if you can shoot through it at first, however the most of the problem isnt in the shooting game, its the parkour game. Whilst playing it, I noticed the majority of the time you die is when the wheels trap you and you dont have enough time to get out of it, the falling brooms almost never cause your death if at all.

Developer

Oh alright, I see what's the problem with the shooting game!
Maybe making the sprite more transparent would help knowing you can shoot through it, thanks!

Yeah, the wheels are the main cause of death. The falling brooms (they are supposed to be tridents, but brooms are fine too) are mainly here to block you and make you fall in the wheels. Although you're right, it needs a little balancing between both elements :)

Thanks a lot for that feedback, I'll see what I can do! :D

Let's get this album to Number #1!

Great little game, could see this eventually becoming a compendium of different mini games similar to Warioware if development is continued.

P.s - Great job on the sound effects

Submitted(+1)

Best music I've ever heard. Great sound effects. Fun little minigames. Great stuff!

Submitted(+1)

The music was fun and enjoyable, and I really liked the clean visuals! The minigames are simple but challenging and they control well.

Submitted(+1)

I love what you did for the music and sound effects, its 1000000 times better this way than it just being quiet, it even got me singing along! I too had the curso of the green mini game for about 8 runs, but eventually got to taste that sweet strawberry pink. Good job!

Developer

Oh my god did you just- sing along with me?

A whole new world of possibilities is opening to me now ! >:D

Thanks a lot for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

(I may really consider making a weighted random to increase the chances of having a specific minigame when it doesn't pop)

Submitted(+1)

The soundtrack was... amazing! Where can I buy the OST? The game itself is very simple, but also strangely entertaining. We managed to get 202 seconds in the second minigame (humble brag) :p

Developer(+1)

Wow good job for the minigame!
Btw, the order is random, so was it the green or the pink minigame? :)

And I'm glad you enjoyed the soundtrack haha, unfortunately there is no OST ;p
(but you can definitely find the resources in the res folder, and use them as your ringtone :D)

Submitted

Oh we didn't even realise there was also a purple one (though we played it now :p it was also really fun), why thought the first scene was one of the minigames since we got the green one like 6 times in a row!

Developer(+1)

Aw... random is against us! I usually have the pink 6 times in a row :(
Although it's just pure random :x

And then if you score more than 200 in the green one... you definitely beat me to my own game ;-; my high score is around 180 if I'm correct

Really liked the visuals, they suited the game really well. The gameplay is fun. Well done!

honestly a great game

Art and sound design

super simple nothing complex nor empressive but it does it's job super effectively, it reminds me a lot of wario ware which i like very much

gameplay

super simple yet effective, tho i think the walking in the beginning is useless you should have just started the gamerush right of the bat (wario ware style), and put a win condition as well on the minigame to get a sens of improvement and satisfaction.

theme

i honestly don't see where the theme fits if you could highlight it it would be much appreciated

fun

i had so much fun for how long it lasted, a simple execution yet so FUN and made me laugh

bugs

i found non great work from you on that part !

another thing the game is too short but it's to be expected from a game jam.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the detailed review!

For the theme part, the idea was originally to open the surprise box (hence the walking part), and have an animation show the minigame you unlocked!

I just abandonned the idea mid-jam, I had no hope in the game (whoopsies), and just left that little box to open to have the minigame.

(I certainly planned to create a minigame related to christmas too, but couldn't find an interesting gameplay about it).

Submitted(+1)

That explains it ! i well thought out idea, i really like it, i'd love to play a full polished release, looking forward to your new work.

Submitted(+1)

Impressive work for just one person! I really liked the whole aesthetic. It may no be the most complex game. Instead it is one of the most fun and quite addicting games :D

Also the sound effects were really nice!

Submitted(+1)

Was a fun little game, good sounds cab cute sprites. Don't put yourself down because you made all the assets for your game! You did a good job and you should be proud. Even though me and my friend wanted to make all the assets for our game, in the end we had to use an asset for our main character, because we can't model humans. So great job doing it all yourself!

Developer

Aw thank you so much!

I usually use third-party assets too so I understand haha, and it means a lot to receive positive feedback like that! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Submitted(+1)

Looks nice :) (Achieve! -100 scores in shooter!)

Developer(+1)

Incredible achievement! I'm proud of you :D
