Sound effect after picking up my first present immediately made me quit. Before that however i thought the background was really cool.

Developer

yeah enemies are broken. I already got the fix ready. Now I'm just waiting for voting to end.

Veeery strange, felt like tripping. Similairly to previous comments the enemies didnt spawn quite right most of the time and their sound effects sounded very squeaky. The procedural maps are cool!

Hey! Here's what I saw in the game :)

Visual

Visually, there's no problem, I like the style the buildings, it looks great! There are no textures but I think that it's fine, it looks cool :)

Sounds

I would've loved a chill BGM, and the shooting SFX was buggy for me :( (see below)

Tutorials

Unfortunately none :(

Gameplay

  • I like the "search gifts in maze" aspect!
  • The procedurally generated map is a great thing too :)
  • I couldn't experience the "stalked by shooters" aspect (see below), but I'm afraid that their number will be rapidly too much

Fun

That was a fun experience, I liked searching for gifts :)

Bugs

Unfortunately, it's the part that affected me the most :(

  • The shooters spawned only in one of the 3 games I've played
  • When they didn't spawn, their shooting sound was extremely buggy: never completely played, with artifacts in the sound, etc.
  • The shrooms (I guess they were shrooms?) blocked a lots of passages, I couldn't reach some gifts because of that
  • There were too much space between each "island" and I couldn't jump between them
  • Fortunately, I had infinite jumping to help me
  • Nothing happens when you fall, you're in an invisible box
  • If you jump while running towards a shroom, you can move it (sometimes they go really far, and push eachother)

Theme

The game is in the theme :)

Cool game and interesting idea, but I think it would benefit from being more fast-paced and making it a bit clear what the player has to do. And impressive terrain generation and art style!

like alot have said the technical side of this was dope! nice stuff!

The art style is nuts, I really like it!

The idea is certainly there and the procedural aspect is super cool, however im not entirely sure what the goal is (although I found a present) and and seem to be getting strange looping audio issues. It also seems that when you fall off the map the game freezes.

This was quite trippy to be honest :)

Super cool!

Was satisfying to fly all over the map to try to collect presents while being hunted down by bots?  Mushrooms would sometimes block routes which was annoying and the bots would get stuck so I had free reign to get presents. Very impressive for 2 days of work :)

Felt very surreal, would love to see this developed into a full game. It wasn't entirely clear what I had to do at first, and some of the areas seemed to be unreachable? Also there didn't seem to be any way to reset if you fell off the map, and no way to quit, though maybe I missed something.

The procedural generation is seriously impressive for a game jam! So many mushrooms~!  The movement was a little strange but once i thought of space as more of a wing flap than a jump it made a lot more sense.  There was a really high pitched collection sound that started looping after picking up a few presents though.  Seriously well done for getting that generation done during a jam. it looks awesome.

I'm quite impressed with the technical aspect of this - the procedural generation of the terrain is great! I didn't really have much fun playing it though, sorry to say. Needed a bit more polish in the game mechanics, in the audio and perhaps a bit of textures to the world. Good effort nonetheless!
