Liked the simple animations and art style. Would have liked some sound effects to fit with them.

As other user mentioned, the player input was  missed if pressed too early.

Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing and leaving some feedback. As I mentioned in some other responses I might come back to make a full game out of this concept the jam period was just too short for it. :)

Concept is simple and fit surprisingly well the theme. Menu and Level are not graphically consistent. It miss an graphical identity. It needs more levels, and you can image various tile that will spice up yours levels. Great job though. To be continued ?

Developer

Yea as I like the concept and also puzzle games in general I could imagine me coming back to make a full project out of it. More tiles were planned but time ran out way too quick...

The game was pretty well polished and the art was pleasing to look at. The gameplay reminded me of the gym with the ice floor in Pokemon Emerald, if you've played it.

If you want to keep the movement speed as you have it now, it would be nice to have a buffer where it saves the player's input if they press a direction before the character is able to move, cause sometimes it felt like my inputs were dropped when in reality I was just pressing the key too early.

I think a cool mechanic you could add would be buttons that activate and deactivate barriers, so you would have to make sure you don't block the other one's path

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't play Pokémon emerald but will look it up and once I come back to this I'll be sure to include some of the options you mentioned especially the barriers :)

The game isn't particularly unique and doesn't draw on the theme very frequently or in a very interesting way. However, the execution was great though movement was a bit slow and there seemed to be a lot missing (more levels, options, title). I especially enjoyed the bounciness of the character while moving.

Developer

I agree that the take on the theme wasn't great in the end but when I realized I was commited to the project and just wanted to submit sth anyways. When coming back I'll give the player at least an option in the settings to control player speed to fit anyone's needs.

this game remind me "flow", and also not sure what do you mean about the theme, but I like the bounciness of the character and the stage level design. I wish there are some more stages. Nice Job

Developer

I wish I had time for more levels during the jam but I'll come back to this at some point to make it a better game with more levels. And yea the take on the theme isn't perfect but I realized way too late and still submitted :)

I loved the jiggle of the player character and the explosion of confetti. I would've loved to see a bit more and some sound.

Developer

More levels and sound were planned and will be added once I come back to the game on a later occasion

Good concept but too short. Would've loved to see what you had in your sleeve in the next level! The controls could've been a bit snappier.

Developer

A lot of people mentioned the controls so I'll make them better once I come back to add more content. Also planning to make at least a decently complete game out of this so more levels to come :)

Host

it was fun to play and once i got the hang of it the game ended!! Hope you pull off more levels next jam!

Developer

Glad you had fun.  Will try my best to get a bit more done next time. Also might come back to this game to make it a better and especially longer experience :)

Wish there were more levels. Just when the levels start getting interesting, the ends. But I this core concept. Like the path you choose for the first player affects the second player. But this means they are friends and not enemies. Because the main goal of the game is to make sure that both reach the end successfully.

But if I ignore the theme, I feel that this concept can be easily extended to create a fully-fledged puzzle game.

The take on the theme is not optimal yea but i couldn't think of anything better so i stuck with this one anyways. Thanks for the feedback though was thinking about revisiting the project later anyways.

Very short game but at least it works!

Needs more levels and faster tile falling. Also the player feels a bit too slow for my preference.

Nice colors.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback. I might come back to the game to make it longer and add more mechanics. Will think about your suggestions and maybe add them in as setting for the player to choose speed himself to fit everyone's preference.

name and icon is a huge suggestion.

yea i know but it's a jam after all and i was happy to get sth submitted at all just didn't have time to set up a proper game page. Also not good at naming games nothing would come to mind as fast as i needed it.

No one is good at naming things... no one is...

I like the concept, it's a sokoban with a different approach. The theme is not fully adhered to, maybe playtime is the reason. It deserves to be further developed to provide a greater playing experience, the ideas are there. Well done to the team. Good continuation.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. And yea the theme isn't the main part of the levels but I'm missing some core mechanics to make harder puzzles and well then I can't really do the theme either. :/
