The graphics and gameplay were pretty cool, I liked the levels with a few clones because it felt strategic trying to position yourself around them. The ones with like 5 clones though were basically just a "hit the fire icon and you lose lol" and weren't as fun as the ones with 1 or 2 clones. Also I feel like this game would greatly benefit from being on a grid instead of having free movement. Overall well done though!

Developer

Thank you. Great feedback. For "grid movement", it make sense, we try it at first, but we choose the actual movement because it feel more reponsive, more forgiving too, but I think I will Test it another time, now that the game has more content.

I see, your angle makes sense but the reason free movement didn't work for me is because sometimes I would just barely graze the fire and get screwed, so while the grid movement might be less responsive it would be more deliberate

The gameplay is nothing new though the clones do add a new layer of strategy. The art and sound design is fantastic.

Very fun game! Loved the art style and music and the small story element as well.

It reminded me Snake, but i like the concept. Art style is great.

Developer

You got it. It is totally inspired by Snake.

The frustration on this on was real 😁. This game reminded me of the classing snake game, but it add so much more to it.

I went upto level 20 and then just gave up. But the whole concept of fire was use very smartly. Some times the camera angle made it difficult to guess when I have to turn and when I have to jump. But that also kept me engaged in the game. So good job on that. Level design was great too, it didn't feel like I was seeing same level again and again. Each level progressed gradually and introduced something new.

Thanks a lot for playing our game and your feedback !! :)

Very polished game!! And 30 levels is a huge amount! I played all of them, although I maybe cheated in some of them. Some of the levels were super easy and some required some thinking. As the movement wasn't grid based it was possible to go between some fire-activators. Also I think the camera was sometimes too far away and it was hard to do accurate movements. It was stressful when the fire dudes just ran into seemingly random directions, I just tried to avoid them altogether

Very good job, fit the theme well.

Thanks you to play our game and your feedback ! The fire clone move like our guy but don't always have the same starting direction... sometimes it's a little bit stressful ;).

I really like the music. It fits the urgency of the game really nicely. Overall the soundscape is nice.

Movement is a bit janky and stiff. It wouldn't be such an issue but these types of games really need smooth controls. Artstyle was a bit weird but ok I guess.

Gotta go fast!

Thanks for playing our game :). The game and movement are inspired by Snake game, but i can see your point.

Yeah it was like the Dark Souls of Snake! I just felt cheated when I felt the player didn't respond to my controls as expected, good job :)
