In what way does your game fit the theme?
It's a platformer, however movement reverses the direction of all revolving objects and platforms - rewinding them!

If you get stuck here is the record to see how its done! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdKRP0EHu8E

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code, and assets other than music was created myself from scratch.

Took me a minute to figure out the platform was moving based on me lol. At first I was like wtf these platforms make no sense haha. It definitely had that one more time feel. I'll get it this time.  I made it to almost the top of the board with the green bouncing climb but after enough attempts I gave up.  It's def a brain !@##$ with the reverse controls.  It's clean and and I like the 3d effect on all the objects and the way the mechanics were introduce little by little.

thanks so much for the feedback :)

Things I liked, just the overall craziness you put into this game is unreal. You have a really cool concept by binding the right direction with reversing time and then on top of that you have all these tools and platforms that make use of that. REALLY well done! On the top of that your such a mad lad you even put in a level editor of all things. If there's any thing such as flex in this competition that's it.

Things I didn't like, honestly not that much was bad. Maybe could use one or two more checkpoints but for how hard that is you can take that or leave it.

You should be really happy of this game, good job! Hope to see more games from you in the future!

Loved the color scheme and the menu. Simple design and the flow of the gameplay combined made that great experience. Congrats for the work!

Thanks so much

Ok! I played your game. First of all I really like your main menu! Its pretty cool and I love that things are moving there. It gives the menu a better feeling than having an empty canvas with text only. The game mechanic is pretty cool and I like the idea that obstacles are moving in the way you are moving. Overall I pretty liked the game!

Thanks :)

This game was interesting, nice game. The mechanic of the platforms being controlled by your movement was unique and one i have not seen before. It was lacking in music though, and the graphics were minimalist and nice, i guess...

Heh, rewind was just simply going back to the start/checkpoint and rewinding the rotation of the platforms, interesting way to fulfill the theme.

Developer (1 edit)

The rewind mechanic was the rewinding of the platforms movement not the re-spawning of your character, There was music and sound effects and settings to adjust these, thanks for the feedback.

Oh, you could say that you rewind-ed the character's position when it dies but alright.

Developer

I guess you could yeah, i just meant that wasnt the intention lol

Intriguing double use of the "A" input. Totally different dimension to game play.

Wow, Impressive game. i like it. also the fact that you can make your own levels gives the game replay value and long term reason to keep playing the game. i didn't feel the rewind theme too clear in the game but it is a fun game overall, nice graphics, menu, tutorial and controls.

And the fact that you fitted a level editor in a week is amazing!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, i agree, the rewind theme will only ever affect rotating things which does make it less obvious in a platformer like this. Im really glad you found it fun tho, thanks for playing : )))
