Really enjoyed managing all of the VHS tapes. It took me a whole day in game to figure out that I was supposed to rewind the tapes but loved going around and putting all the VHS's tapes back on their shelves and the ninja's were awesome. Really liked the voices too! :)

In what way does your game fit the theme?
Rewinding returned tapes is a part of the game, and it's set into the golden age of cassette based media ("rewind into a different time")
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
100% of the code in the game is written by us for the game. No 3rd party code was used beyond what's built into UE4. A large part of the 3D and sound assets was created by us. All other assets have suitable licenses to use or are in the public domain.

Hah pretty fun management game. I definitely felt like when I worked in retail back in the day, suuuper triggered haha. Great job!
Strangely addictive and somewhat meditative.
I feel the next step for that game would having you actually sort movies by title or subgenre.
I've noticed that about a week into it customers were exclusively renting tapes, never returning them, no idea if that was a bug or not.
This game was very well made and fun. for some reason working at a VHS store was one of the most fun games I have played yet. I enjoyed the silly customers and the style and mechanics of this game. I enjoyed setting up a little food station for my character and messing around with AI and physics. Overall this was one of my favorite games so far, Good Job!
Great game! I played it over and over again. I little indicator, that I am dying form starvation or dehydration would be a nice addition. I can see me this playing a little more in the future! Good Job!
One of the best looking games i've seen! Love the humor on it and overall its a nice experience! Good job!
Pretty good, game ! I enjoyed the theme and the gameplay was well-made!
Hey, that is a real funny game, great voices and unique gameplay, well done!
Wow that was a fun experience! It was a very fun mechanic of having to organize everything; gives that rushed sort of feeling to put everything in their correct spot. I would say because there's already a lot of stuff to do, the other metrics would take away from the main game. Dialogue was nice, good balance of the nice customers and the spiteful ones to simulate real life. Great job and I hope you try out and rate our game as well!
HELLO FELLOW WARRIOR!
I really like this submission, the voice dialogue is pretty funny and the art is good. The mechanics feel a bit cluttered though, the hunger/thirst/urine system is just kinda 'there' and doesn't contribute much to the core mechanics of the movie store. I rarely felt like I ever had time to organize the movies and didn't see much incentive to. It didn't help that there's not a very clear indication of a movie's genre without looking directly at it, so it takes a lot of time to find the out of place movies. I also kinda stopped bothering with the rewinder, as it took longer than the amount of returns I was getting. Maybe having multiple rewinders would help with that? And perhaps a smaller store layout would let you get to and from your desk quicker, making movie sorting less cumbersome. Also, there were times the customers all talked at once which was really annoying, so an audio queue system would help. Overall though, really cool game, nice work!
Thanks for the detailed feedback :) We've been tweaking the game pacing a lot, and hopefully we can work on adding some more relevant tasks and make the whole "managing the store" experience a little bit less hectic. There is a system in place whereby customers look for the tape they want in its category, and if you haven't sorted them, they are likely to not find it - but it's not really explained anywhere, so that's another thing we'll have to improve on.
Ha this was a fun game, I like it a lot ha my game is kinda similar haha but I really like how you included putting the tapes and everything it felt very hectic ha and I loved the voices they were amazing
Oh dear, yeah that's gotta be a problem with Wine and UE4 :\ It looks like none of the static lighting is working. It did not occur at all that we could have uploaded a Linux build of the game... I'm going to see if we can make a native build for you and any other Linux users. I don't know if they'll let us upload it though since the jam deadline passed, so we'll see.
