Wow this was super well made!  I really like your 3D artwork escape room style game and movement.! The UI was very cool looking!  nice sound and graphics too. You should keep working on it! Congrats on successfully submitting a game to the jam and I hope you learned a lot of new things.  Please check out my game when you have time :D

I liked the writing and when I reached the 3 door I started to feel a little spooked. even though I'm not sure why I should be scared. It would make sense to lean into the insanity. Maybe with a Cthulhu like entity lurking in the shadows. More then then the lighting and level design and I'd say the sound is what really sold the atmosphere.

The idea of turning in circles to change what you see was interesting although I didn't even realize it was a thing until the chest puzzle. And to be honest it didn't feel like a puzzle. It just felt like I was turning in random directions until it worked. The only "puzzle" that was clever was the one where you need to walk backwards to get out of. But even that felt like a cheese.

And sadly by the end I was starting to feel sick. I'm not sure how you would fix this but it would be worth while to look into. Or maybe I just have a weak stomach.  lol

All in all I'd say this was a good game. And bonus points for Linux support. I would like to feature this game in a game jam review video for my YT channel.  Thanks!

We're glad you like the writing and the atmosphere! We were going for a spooky abandoned laboratory studying things that should not be known, and I'm happy that spooky vibe came across for you.

The puzzles are less about "turning in circles" and more about simply "not looking at something." While you're looking at one of the quantum objects, it's locked to that position only, but the second you look away it will change position. But I can totally understand why they didn't work as well for you. With only this mechanic in a vacuum, it's difficult to make a puzzle that teaches you the mechanics, but that also can't be solved by brute force/spinning the mouse around. It's the sort of problem that can only be solved by a lot of refined level design and playtesting (which you have also helped with!) Funnily enough, I never even thought to walk out of the stair room backwards, I always looked sideways or downwards at the stairs when climbing. So thanks for showing me an alternative way of solving the puzzle!

Not sure what to do about you feeling sick. Maybe it has something to do with the FOV, or the mouse sensitivity? Hard to say for sure, but we'd definitely like to avoid that in the future. First person shooter-style games can be hit-or-miss with some people.

And you can totally make a video featuring our game! We look forward to seeing what you have to say :)

I'm a big fan of escape room style games. This mechanic fits that theme really great. The texts on the wall are a nice addition and helpful too as it helps the player get to understand the mechanics of the game. The puzzle where I had to climb back up the stairs had me bumped for a bit. Every time I tried to climb it the stair disappeared beneath me. I did manage to finish the game though. Well done.

Thanks for the support! Yeah, the Red Keycard puzzle seems to be the most difficult so far. I think it's because, like you said, after you get all the stairs in one place you have to ALSO make sure they don't disappear from under you. If we remake this, those concepts will definitely be introduced one at a time. I'm glad you liked it overall!

Getting the stairs in place was a problem that I was already comfortable with solving. It is the same trick I used to get the pieces of text on the walls together. Though it took me a while to realize that was what I needed to do. Getting up the stairs was easy once I realized that the problem wasn't that I looked away while climbing the stairs. Climbing stairs like that makes absolutely no sense in real life, so it required some out of the box thinking, which is why it's my favorite puzzle.

One thing I missed was a run key. I tried using ctrl for that, but that was a mistake. Ctrl+w is a browser hotkey for closing your window. Though having tighter and shorter corridors as someone else mentioned, might be a better solution.

Fun little game, it was a little hard to see in the environment and it was a little easy to get turned around with how sensitive the mouse was, but overall a nice little game!

Thank you! We did notice the environment was a little dark (but only after we uploaded it, of course -.-) You can change the mouse sensitivity via the options menu with P, though!

Had a major Outer Wilds' Quantum Moon vibes when solving the puzzles. I like how you worked around that idea. The atmosphere is great, the puzzles are both challenging and straightforward. I did manage to get myself locked out with the keycards, after the game accepted the blue one, I couldn't interact with the door eventhough I had all three cards.

Overall nice job! :)

Thank you! We were definitely strongly influenced by Outer Wilds, and I'm glad you think we pulled it off well :)

As for locking yourself out, sorry about the confusion. You can switch which item you're holding by pressing the number keys or using the scrollwheel. I just forgot to mention that in the game!

Edit: I updated the description of the main game page so hopefully others won't suffer the same fate!

Great atmosphere, and very cool puzzles! I definitely felt like I had space madness.

The scale of the environment could be a little tighter and smaller, that would help create a lot more tension. And the "Red Keycard" puzzle isn't exactly intuitive, but it does create the right feeling (I loved and hated it). Hope that's hopeful.

I would love to see more to this!

Thanks for the suggestion about the environment! I agree, that would definitely add to the aesthetic of the game. Watching some other people play this, they too struggled with the Red Keycard, so you're not alone! I think it's because the puzzle is teaching the player two things at once, rather than going one step at a time. That's the sort of thing that could be alleviated by adding more levels, which we might do after the jam is over. Thanks for the kind words!
