Did something brake (again)? I'm about as fast as a snail with broken legs but I'll definitely fix any bugs/glitches you find. :)

AAAA community · Created a new topic Q/A (SPOILERS!!!)

If you've finished the game and have a question this is the place to ask!

I'll look into it! Thanks for the feedback. [0   0] <3 I'll massage back when I get it fixed. :)

This game is so jank in the best way possible. I thought it was pretty funny, and the relatability of the MC is just perfect. And I'll be honest, the only reason I clicked this because of the pun-nail. I can tell you are a man of true culture. It would be hard to make this into a full game that someone would pay for, but I can see how you could take this idea and run with it.

I didn't notice that walking in the pedestrian zone would make cars not honk at you. I think this was because the art was so out of proportion I didn't expect there to be that kind of detail. But don't get me wrong I love the character and environment art. Especially the death animations. 10/10. The music was great, but right now I think it's acting like a timer, and it would, IMO, make this feel like much more of a simulator if it was reactive. The main problem with it being a timer is when I know it's almost at zero I can run to an unoccupied part of the map and wait it out. I can understand why you wouldn't do this, but it would be cool nun the less. :)

I think the loss of control of the character went well with the theme. I can only say it would help if the animation of the character was a little more spastic. If the character flailed his arm's and had a more sporadic run animation it would exemplify him being out of control a little more. And I get that the characters corrupt, but why did he turn black? haha

There are some smaller things that you probably already know so I wont beat a dead dog- I mean horse. But I would like to point out that green on white is a little hard to read.

I had lots of fun with this game and would like to see what you do with it in the future. Would you mind if I featured your game in a GMTK game jam review video on my YT channel?

Wow! It's crazy to think this was a made for a game jam. Everything is so clean and polished and I didn't encounter any bugs.

The story was really interesting and made me want to finish to the end. It also helped by having flavor text to introduce mechanics. It did character building very well. It's mildly depressing but I enjoy story's like that. Have you ever played "DATA WING"? This game gives me that that same vibe.♥ I appreciate the coded text at the end. When I played DDLC I spent the time to decode all the massages and hidden content so if you added bonus levels and hidden content I would love that.

The mechanics are really fun in a relaxing way. The sounds make moving around satisfying. I like how the sounds aren't harsh 8-bit sounds. The movement and sound is very soft despite this being about robots.

My only complaint is there is no background music. If this had it's own OST and a handful of more factory's to solve puzzles in, this would be a complete game I would buy.

Some Music I think would fit this game is the last half of "one weird tip - LemonDemon" and "Metamodernity - Vansire" but that's just what I imagine. :)

Would it be ok if I featured your game in a video on my YT channel? Thanks for reading and yes, I would love more of this game.

If your wondering what code to use to decode the ending it's 23 A-X

Thank you! :) I'm glad you noticed the difference between the colorful video game world and the other video game world. I built it with Godot engine and GIMP image editor.

I really like the premise for the game. It's kind of like an emotion management simulator. Whenever a mechanic is tied to an emotion players just tend to like it more even if its just a button press.

There are a couple things I would like if they where changed. I like the minimal design but it doesn't communicate as much information as I would consider necessary. For basic feed back it would help if the character on screen was a little more expressive. Maybe you could add sweat symbols above her head when she is worried.

If you were to lean into that simulator feel it would be helpful to add more meters to display different feelings, and different actions to control what meters go up or down. Right now "walking" and "calling" don't feel like they do anything. So if you could express those actions with feedback it would raise the bar to a whole new level (pun intended).

I'm not sure if this was a bug with the Linux export but for whatever reason didn't hear any sound effects(?). Thanks for supporting Linux.  Very much appreciated.

The clock is something else I didn't understand when playing. Is it counting down or up? And instead of the letter "h" to signify hours, stylize the clock to look like one. And use 12-hour clock with AM/PM,  instead of military time.

It would also help if the text had its own UI element instead of following the player. Right now since the text color is white it makes it hard to read when the player isn't in the center of the room.

All in all I can see a lot of potential for this and look forward to seeing any updates. :) Would  you be ok with your game being featured in a game jam review video for my YT channel? Thanks for reading!

This is by far the best game I've played in this jam. I love the use of player input to push the narrative forward even if it doesn't change the outcome. The first time i played it I didn't realize the audio was off. So I replayed it and noticed how much the walking sound sounds like a heart beat, which made the walking part so much more intents even though I knew what was going to happen.

I was late entering my game but I think we both had the same line of thinking. although your execution of the theme was a lot stronger. If you would ever like to collaborate on a project I would be thrilled to work with you.

I'm making a game jam review video on my YT channel and I would love this game to be featured in it.

I liked the writing and when I reached the 3 door I started to feel a little spooked. even though I'm not sure why I should be scared. It would make sense to lean into the insanity. Maybe with a Cthulhu like entity lurking in the shadows. More then then the lighting and level design and I'd say the sound is what really sold the atmosphere.

The idea of turning in circles to change what you see was interesting although I didn't even realize it was a thing until the chest puzzle. And to be honest it didn't feel like a puzzle. It just felt like I was turning in random directions until it worked. The only "puzzle" that was clever was the one where you need to walk backwards to get out of. But even that felt like a cheese.

And sadly by the end I was starting to feel sick. I'm not sure how you would fix this but it would be worth while to look into. Or maybe I just have a weak stomach.  lol

All in all I'd say this was a good game. And bonus points for Linux support. I would like to feature this game in a game jam review video for my YT channel.  Thanks!

This is really fun. I played through it several times just so I could beat it. :)

There are a couple things I can think of  that would make it much more enjoyable to play. The first is when I was doing really well I got ahead of the camera and I had to wait for the water to catch up. This felt a little obnoxious but I can see why you made it this why. Maybe you could speed the water up if the player gets to far?

The second is a quick restart button for when the player is stuck behind a rock or path and has no way of escape. Right now there is no option (that I could find) to do this. It would be nice for the game to detect this automatically but it would be appreciated if there was a button as well.

The art is very nice to look at and is very cute. albeit terrifying, if that makes sense. I'm not sure if you can do this in pico-8, but if you could make the menus a little easier to read that would be very appreciated.

The music is definitely a bop. 11/10 I would love to hear what a lava level would sound like. ',:)

Thanks for uploading a Linux version!
Could I review this game on my YT channel?

I would love to play your game but I am running Linux. Could you export a Linux version? I would really appreciate it.

Hi, I'm trying to run your game on my Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS machine. I changed the permissions on the appimage to executable but when start it I get this error: It appears to be a miss named file. It is also a good practice not use any spaces in file names. If you can get this fixed that would be awesome. Thank you.

So I looked and apparently Itch doesn't have a DM system in place. Can I contact you by email? mine is invadercivicziur@gmail.com

Thank you! I'm not a great artist so the tileset turned out a little wack but I'm happy with how the characters look.

😂 In that case you could have just texted me on Discord.

No I totally understand what you mean. Ha ha.  Honestly I didn't think anyone would play it but I guess now I have to clean it up and make it playable.

If you don't mind me asking, how did it run and what browser and hardware are you using?

Thank you for playing!

Great job. You were always one step ahead.

Thanks for the interest. I hope you will play it when it's done. :)

I'll be your friend...    \(^-^)/
