I too enjoyed the different deaths lol.
I extremely liked all the unique death explanation in this game x) Made me want to fail each stem just to read more of them! The game played very fun, loved it
Dungeon is clean!
First it was a bit strange to look at the floor like that, but it kind of works in that case with floor being main focus. Sound effects were funny hahah.
At first I kind of was guessing what color is what.. It was too short to check my theory, but was it opposite on the bar kind of deal? Really needed one more room for me, since I got into how it works at the very end :<
Also I ashamed to admit - I spend some time trying to clean saving tile....
I had to give you an extra star for what you did with those dungeon crawl stone soup potions ;) very nice work.
Nice game! Dungeon looks great and moving around is good. Looking down to see the floor so a bit unusual viewing angle but it works. Took a while to figure out the rules for colors, but it works well and implements the elemental RPS theme. Took me 5min to beat. Nice!
The dungeon is clean, I completed the dishes. The game controls well, it's overall funny (I like the various sound effects) and I got satisfied after I finally got all the colours to use, every single one by trial or error. Thanks for sharing!
Like everyone else is saying... At first the camera angle throws you but then you realise why it's like that and then all good xD I had a issue at first thinking it was broken due to missing icons but then just realised that it needed to be full screen!
My only recommendation would be that for the last spot maybe you should of cleaned up the hero himself xD
Anyway, really good work! :)
I share Damien's sentiment about the viewing angle. I nearly fell out of my chair initially, but it made total sense afterwards :D. Despite being short, I enjoyed the game.
The spitting sound effect got an actual belly laugh out of me, I just wasn't expecting that. I like your interpretation of the theme and your implementation of it. I'm also very grateful that you were generous with the save points and respawning not being punishing.
Sure, the game could have benefitted from some more variety, but I certainly would rather one mechanic well baked then several that are incomplete. In that sense the game is actually great for the time I spent playing. Thank you
I loved the look of the dungeon you were in, and the sound effects that were present were excellent. I wish there was slightly more of a puzzle here.
I had a roommate in college who was a lot like the hero of this story. He once fell asleep with a jar of peanut butter in his sheets, and the stain looked quite a bit like some of the stains in the dungeon.
Enjoyed this, the one thing I think it took me a while to pick up on was that the right cleaner wouldn’t hurt. So I got to thinking a death loop was expected, and it what I saw as a stain fading was actually just it spreading. But once I realised I was idiot, I got the hang of it.
Neat method to spread out the stain, like a drunken blur or something, cool stuff,
Oh ok I see where you come from! I think I could have done a better job at explaining the mechanik. Thanks for the replay and for playing ^^
That was a funny one, cleaning the dungeon with a cleaning spray. As I started the game I saw the steep (for a DC) down looking view and was a bit confused, but it makes absolutely sense here. But I think I am too dumb, as I had to figure out the color combinations sometimes by trial and error. Graphics were nice and smooth, maybe a little bit of texture variety would be nice. The only real critisim I have, is the movement. There was no movement buffering and so I often could not turn, because my character was still walking. But anyway, I had fun :)
Thank you for playing ^^
Your critique is absolutly valid. I had to make many decisions in favor of making something complete but the jam really hooked me and I can't wait to implement your points in my next crawler!
