Hello, whoever's reading this! I've been having an issue lately where when I try to comment, I get an error saying that my comment needs moderator approval before being posted, due to account activity or community settings. I've seen on other topics that this is a sort of automated system used to prevent spamming...? I was wondering if there is a way to whitelist my account or something similar so that I may be able to post comments again? 
I sent an email to support regarding this issue six days ago (request ID 332055), but I've gotten no response.

Hello every time I comment in every game , it goes same ( comment approved by moderator) i also contacted some of the game creators and they says itch think my comment is spam...

Others also try to solve this problem by sending mail ( tickets) . I did the same but nothing happened

More than 40 days for me since supposedly the admins were let know, but when I tried replying to the email again, it generated a new ticket number.

i emailed support one week ago and got "Your request (ID 333699) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff". But still now nothing happens

Response times of a week aren't unusual. Doubly so as it's been the holidays. I'll let our admins know about your ticket.

Same issue here, but I cant even see where it is waiting it's like it was never there. 

If you mean you can't see where your comment got stuck waiting, I think the only way to see it is if you go back to the address that showed you the comment was stuck waiting for mod approval.

oh it posted, it though this as well was in limbo. Interesting.IT did the exact same thing when I tried to post that comment. 

I am relatively new to the platform, I feel a bit like an Granny not understanding how the site works.

I have been having this problem for about two months, sent in a Support ticket about a month ago, replied to the message with some more information about a week later, and now it has been over a month with complete silence from Support except for the first automated response that my request was received. The ticket number given in the original message was 330374, if that is still valid.

You should contact support via email:

When you do, you should receive an automatic confirmation email with your support ticket number, which you can optionally share here and politely ask the moderator if they can inform the staff about your issue. (Please note that contacting them by email should be sufficient, but due to the high volume of work at the end of the year, support response times are considerably longer.)

Suffering with the same issue, but my ticket is not as old. (337340) Just needing to see whats got me unable to comment.

Out of curiosity, how long does it normally take the admins/staff to address tickets. I keep seeing a lot of people posting asking about it. I dont know if its a issue with ticket volume, or what is happening. I dont mind waiting, but seeing so many people having this issue makes me concerned that I might not ever be able too comment on itch.io again. I feel like a lot of people are in the dark.

Curious, did the admins ever actually solve your problem?

Not OP, but I haven't had any luck. Even had someone say they let admins know about the support ticket, but that was 43 days ago as of now, with absolutely no response except for the initial automated response all the way back on Dec 15th of last year. Guess I just won't be able to comment on game pages any longer,

Edit: Oh, that's just great. I replied to the email message again, and I suddenly got another automated response saying they got my message and opened a ticket with a brand new number. I'm thinkingthey closed my previous support ticket without a peep and completely ignored me. Fantastic!
