Great idea for the theme! Sometimes the jumps didn't work for me, but other than that it was very challenging and fun to play :) Well done!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I noticed that too, that it felt like if you jumped like on the same frame that the playform started going down it wouldn’t register.

Thanks for checking it out!

Found this from your YouTube channel. I absolutely love it! The controls are really responsive, and the concept is really unique. I've seen games where two players have to reach the same goal, but I've never seen one like this. It's so satisfying completing a level, knowing that you had to have both the forethought and skill to do it. I'm kind of a n00b and didn't finish the game (got around level 9 or 10), but I enjoyed it up to there :)

My only complaint is the camera, I have trouble seeing where to go next :) but other than that I enjoyed the difficulty and skill it took to play.

Since I didn't participate in the jam I can't rate, but I would give it 5 stars. For being made in less than 48 hours, the game design was well-thought out AND well-executed. Props man

Developer

Hey thanks! I’m really glad you liked the concept cause it’s one I really think I want to expand on after (someday) when I finish DeCrypt. Also, if you got to 9 or 10 you basically saw the entire game!

Yeah the camera was a last minute addition and it helped with Bob, but made Rob almost unplayable. I should have just offset them to the left and left vertical movement alone. Will definitely patch after the jam concludes.

Again I really appreciate you taking the time to take a peek.

Got a video up for my struggles making the game on a Raspberry Pi 4

Nice and innovative! Good execution on the theme, I enjoyed playing it. :)

Developer

Thank you sir for the kind words and thanks for playing!

Cool idea, that was fun! Special appreciation for the dedication to promo aspects which are often overlooked in jam (itch.io page, trailer, etc.) Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I just ended up having some time left over and I was afraid of breaking my game trying to add something last minute so made a trailer instead :D

Submitted(+1)

The jumping sound and animation is so satisfying! Had fun playing it and it's a cool idea to have to think ahead for what's available for Rob to jump on

Developer

Yeah sfxr is a great tool even if it doesn’t run on the raspberry pi properly. :D

This game is very fun, I do find it pretty funny that our game titles are so similar.

Developer(+1)

Dude I know! I saw yours and I was like “well, obviously I didn’t have a very original name there” :D

Submitted(+1)

really enjoyed this platformer like the mechanic of going through the level twice with the issue of platforms dropping makes it a nice challenge

Developer

Yeah I really want to look at this mechanic more in the future. Doesn’t fit in my current longer-term project but hopefully I can do something with it soon.

Submitted(+1)

Nice one but i think the camera is not really helping the player :p

Developer

Yeah totally agree! It could have but I should have either invested more into it or scrapped it.

Submitted(+1)

A very fun game, although the camera goes up just enough that you cannot see where you are jumping with rob. Other than that, a great game and great theme integration.

Developer

Yeah I should have tested it a bit more. It was a super last minute addition but it seems the whole game is out to screw over Rob :D

Submitted(+1)

Great take on the theme! Requires both good strategy and good platforming

Developer

And a lot of patience haha. Thanks for giving it a go!

Really Good Game!

Developer

Thanks!

Really fun, relevant, and frustrating at times : D.

Developer

Lol thanks! That’s exactly what I was going for!

Submitted(+1)

Really fun and interesting idea!

Developer

Thanks! I think I’ll eventually revisit this concept when I have some more time!

Submitted(+1)

Good game.  The idea could even scale up to three or four.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah I definitely think I’m going to try and do something more with this once my longer project is finished. Very scalable and can be used for almost any mechanic.

This is a clever Idea executed well. The small view window makes it hard to plan your moves in advance though. Overall good game.

Developer(+1)

I totally agree, so I’m glad someone pointed it out. I tried to fix it with adding a fake “camera” to the game but being unfamiliar with Construct I was afraid to break it before deadline haha.

Submitted(+1)

You game was amazing :) .. Really loved the idea of the first player affecting the game for the second player..

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I really want to put this in the bucket for games to be expanded on later. Especially since I think it’s a better idea than my current long term project haha.

Nice little game. :)

It took me several times to understand that Bob and Rob... are in the same level, shame on me, but it's a cool game. Also the music is great, good job on that too!

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Yeah I thought that might happen, I couldn’t find a good way to lerp the camera from one to the other on the same level (It’s probably simple but I’ve never used construct before).

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll have to see if I can fix it in a post-jam update. Even if I just had some text in the top right saying what level it is.

The graphics are quite simple but this game have a really good concept!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a bunch! Graphics were a huge pain because the Construct image editor runs SLOW on the Raspberry Pi.

Developer(+1)

This game was made completely on a Raspberry Pi!

See the trailer below. I’ll also be making a video on the process I had to go through to make it on a Raspberry Pi 4.

This is pretty cool! A nice jam project its actually pretty fun and challenging trying to get these little guys across the platforms without dropping them all.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I always have an issue with “is this too hard? Too easy?” I don’t know here either but at least I think the gameplay is alright.
