Had a lot of fun I think I need to work on my times though

hey Xolo! I remember working together. I sent you a message on discord

Heya  we can definitely use some more hands on deck for the coding portion of the jam. I sent you a discord request so we can discuss more there :)

thanks Frankie I’m going to add you on discord

I’ll get in touch via discord :)

thanks! I sent you a discord request so we can discuss

Your sound design work is really nice. If you haven't found a team yet, I'm putting together a team and we still need someone to do SFX. Would you be interested in that?

I’m trying to put together a well rounded team to develop a game a with Unreal Engine, hopefully we can get something small and fun and have some fun making a game together.

We are still looking to gather:

A Programmer with UE experience

A Design Oriented Individual who can work in Engine

A 3D Art Oriented person who can model and animate.

A UI/UX person or 2D artist

Currently our team has 1 programmer, 1 music composer, 1 Environment Artist, 1 Character Artist, 1 SFX artist, 1 VFX artist.

We want to have things set up so that team members can primarily focus on their respective fields in order to get their portfolio pieces.

I have 3 years professional game dev experience working on indie horror games. I’m doing this to brush up on UE and hopefully make a few nice clean systems… And make something a little spooky and fun for the jam ofc.

Here’s my portfolio if curious: https://www.austenkinneygamedev.com/

Let’s have fun and make some cool shit

Hey, thanks for including us in your video! It’s super fun seeing someone playing and having fun with our game!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks so much for the positive feedback! We’ve considered it as a team and will be adding some small features to the game after the voting period ends, such as item interaction prompts like you recommended. Thank you for playing!

thanks for the feedback! We will definitely get those bugs fixed as soon as the voting period ends, so thank you for the detailed bug reports. Additionally we intend to add a few quality of life features such as interaction prompts. Thanks for playing our game! We are really glad you enjoyed it, and my apologies for the bugs.

thanks for playing! :)

I love inscryption I can see the inspirations!

Okay sounds great! Hope the stream went well

Hey thanks so much for playing our game :) yours was excellent too! I am really glad you liked what we put together. Our team worked super hard on it.

https://austen-kinney.itch.io/voiceofthevalley Here is our game we played! Happy to check out your game too. When will you be streaming

Heya! I liked the game concept and the story was a really fun idea. It looks like there were some bugs but that's to be expected of a game jam game. I hope you all keep doing game dev. I would love to see the game when it reaches a more polished state!

The game was actually pretty entertaining. Its a pretty decent horror game although a little silly to be running scared of the beans. I made it to the 2nd level but sadly I ran out of battery in the flashlight and had a hard time figuring out what to do after that.

Also unrelated it seems like there is a bug when you die causing the game to remain on a black screen which meant when I restarted after dying I had to close and reopen the game completely. Anyways, Congrats on finishing the jam

Congrats on finishing your first game jam! Thanks for the high praise! It was a group effort, and everyone on the team worked really hard on it. I'll definitely go ahead and give your project a try! Making games is never easy so well done on finishing your first jam!

The art was really amazing! The story was cute too and I loved the frogs. I did find an issue that during conversation with your friend at the end the monsters can still move so I was killed in the ending sequence.

Thanks for playing our game and for the feedback! The HUD is admittedly not the prettiest. We will take your feedback into consideration.

Really cool game. Its actually somewhat difficult. I would love to have some way of destroying walls, maybe with 2 shots or something similar. Its fairly easy to get trapped if you are not careful. I like the surprising amount of difficulty you created with such simple mechanics.

I thought this was a really cool game concept. I love the idea of using a shader like this to represent a sound based navigation of the environment. Really interesting and pretty fun.

I hope you choose to finish the project after the jam :)

Looks like you had fun making the game :) I hope you keep up with game dev.

Thanks for playing!

Fun game! I really enjoy card games and this is a pretty fun game that plays a lot like Hearthstone. Definitely would be a cool game to see expanded past the prototype.

Wow! Thanks so much for the high praise! We all worked really hard on this project, so its really nice to hear you liked it so much. There were a lot of great games this jam. I'm thankful you count ours among them.

Oh awesome okay I'll give it another try :)

Hey! Really great atmosphere with this game! It looks really interesting and I would love to give the game a try, but I couldn't figure out how to make a pot of coffee. I went to the break room with the vending machines and tried interacting with the coffee equipment there but it didn't seem to work. Anyways definitely seemed like a spooky game. The AC turning off and on was a really nice atmospheric touch.

Fixed the issue! That was a movement bug introduced in the most recent build due to a previous bugfix. Thanks a ton for the help tracking it down

Hey! Thanks for playing the game! To beat the monster in the cave, you have to shoot it with the rifle 8 times. Thanks for the feedback about the movement on slopes. I will look into that and try to get it fixed as soon as possible.

Wow that is super unfortunate! I am sorry to hear that.

Thanks we are super glad you liked it :) it was a lot of fun putting it all together, and our team worked super hard on it!
