How does the game fit the theme?
The game is about exploring an underwater cavern in your submarine.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I used public domain sound effects and music. The tileset was also public domain, everything else was programmed and created by me.

A nice game with good hand-drawn art. Despite its simplicity, it's great. With a few improvements to the menus and health and energy bars, the game would be even better. Good work
Appreciate you taking the time to play it, thank you for your feedback!
nice game!
just want to let you know that your GUI does not scale with monitor resolution
Thank you for playing, I will look into getting the UI to scale on future projects, appreciate the feedback
Really fun arcade experience! I liked the submarine movement and the idea of using the flashlight to deal with enemies—it adds a nice layer of strategy. The balance with health and energy pickups kept the gameplay engaging while chasing a high score. Great job on the art and sound too! I’d be happy if you could check out my game and leave a rating as well. Best of luck!
Glad you enjoyed it! I will check out your game.
Cool idea, good controls but aiming the flashlight would be better with the mouse and boosting with the left shift. Overall, a fun game :)
Aiming with the mouse is a great idea! I appreciate the input, thank you.
Nice work on this one! I liked the movement of the sub (I'd played a different sub game in the jam that felt harder to move). The concept and the art was nice - very well executed in a week going solo! Back to the movement - I thought the rotation was well thought through and felt like I was directing it when its nose pointed the right way. The boost feels good, and is definitely better to run away from enemies than try to face them with the light.
I did find a couple bugs. You might check your hitbox on the sub and consider smoothing/rounding it a bit. I got caught on one of the skinny ledges and couldn't get out. When I mouse over the Restart button parts of it get cut off and it says "Resta". And one suggestion - it would be cool to see my final score on the gameover screen.
I didn't even think about the final score, that's a great idea. I appreciate all your feedback and taking the time to try it out.
Cool Artstyle and cool concept :)
Thank you for playing!
Nice little underwater game. The hand-drawn sprites look great and fit the theme really well. The atmosphere is nice too, and the music does a good job setting that underwater ambience. The boost feels fast and satisfying to use, and the flashlight lighting looks good.
The level design is also done pretty well; I can tell you put some thought into it. All in all, a simple but fun arcade-style experience where you chase a higher score each run. Good job on this!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, thank you for your feedback!
This was a simple but fun game! The only bug I found was getting stuck on one of the obstacles for a few seconds, but wiggling a bit go me out. Good job on your game!
Thank you for trying the game, I need to figure out the collision bugs, tried a few different things but ran out of time. Appreciate you trying it out!
Good job on your solo game. The high-score focus keeps things engaging and gives players a clear goal to chase. It feels fairly balanced, with health and energy pickups, as well as useful abilities like the speed boost and flashlight to push back enemies. Overall, it’s a well-structured game.
Thank you for trying the game, I appreciate the feedback!
I was a little lost and couldn't find the treasure but very nice game!
I appreciate you trying it, I was going for more of an arcade pickup the gems and get a high score game, there's no treasure but I considered that at one point.
Nice little game! I'd suggest having the flashlight stun the enemy instead, it might make it more useful that way. Nice work!
I like that idea a lot! I appreciate your input and playing the game.
I like the pathway down into the depths to get more items. Things generally work quite well. A potential way to up the ambiance would be to make the screen darker the deeper the player goes (angler fish and flashlight might work well with that, too). I like the sound you chose for submarine movement, too. Overall, nice job!
Thank you for the feedback! That was the original idea was to have things get darker, more dangerous but more rewarding as you went deeper. Just ran out of time to implement everything. Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice work! I love the fish :) I also made a game with an underwater torch, submarine and angler fish. We should form a club.
Our games did have a lot of similar themes, guess we were on the same page.
The flashlight felt awkward to use since its not centered with the sub. Since getting hurt turns you around you can't really do anything but drive away. The movement felt fine to me, but it's difficult to boost with F while moving with WASD. The art is fitting and the sound/music goes well with it. Good work.
Thank you for playing, I appreciate the feedback, this is a learning experience and honesty is what I need. I will take things like this into consideration moving forward, thank you again.
Fun game! I clipped into a corner on one of my runs and got stuck for the rest of the minute, but other than that no issues! I especially love the sound effects and the art! Is there a win condition for the game?
Thank you for playing! I've noticed the collision issues and need to get that figured out. Ran out of time so I didn't really get a win condition put in, was going for more of an arcade single run type game anyway. I appreciate your feedback, thanks again for playing.
Cool little game!
Thank you for playing!
Nice idea, although I found the controls/rotation confusing. Maybe user error! Like the graphics.
Thank you for trying it out! I think the controls came out a little confusing as well, something seems a little off about it. I appreciate the feedback, hope you enjoyed it.
Nice game! I feel like the controls is a bit clunky though since the submarine rotates with it, and I wish the flashlight zone could be a lot bigger, but I had fun with it, great work!
Thank you for the feedback! The movement, flashlight and collisions could have used a lot of work. I appreciate you taking the time to play it, thanks again.
Good stuff. I am a sucker for submarine themes.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
Cool game, had some issues with the flashlight not pushing enemies back but nothing major. Good Job
Thank you for the feedback, I was having a hard time with collisions in general, will try to get them working better in the future.
