Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the art style and boss fights! The boss is actually programmed to “read” your movement, and none of its attacks are completely random, so I’m happy to hear the fights felt like a fair challenge

Regarding the controls, the key are fully customizable in the Options section of the main menu, so you can switch to WASD if you prefer, including changing the attack and dash keys as well. Thanks again.

Thanks! By the way, you can customize the keys in the settings if the default controls feel uncomfortable.

It’s a solid concept for an entry. The aesthetic and the puzzle elements gave me slight Scorn-like vibes, particularly the sacrifice-based mechanics. It definitely captures the “Strange Place” theme well.

This is a fun turn-based game. The inclusion of stat upgrades and item boosts throughout progression adds depth and makes the experience more engaging. Good job!

It’s great that you tried combining 2D and 3D platforming,  that’s an ambitious design choice. However, 2D alone is already a strong foundation. The movement works, and the visuals are clear, which gives you a solid base to build on.

Adding 3D introduces substantial technical complexity, especially around camera systems and input design. Because it effectively means developing two distinct gameplay styles simultaneously, it can divide focus and make refinement more difficult.

From here, I’d suggest structuring the level design a bit more, for example, by adding traps, enemies, or more intentional obstacle placement to improve the flow. Clearer platforming challenges would help keep players engaged.

Overall, it’s still rough around the edges and has room to grow, but it’s a solid effort!

Thanks and rated!

Very cool starting concept where you match the details of species to the correct planet. It’s a strong core idea and definitely something that could be expanded further.

Really liked the intro and narration, it sets the tone right away. I also like how the gameplay requires you not only to identify what’s wrong, but to locate where it ended up, which makes it more engaging. The static effect is a nice touch and enhances the atmosphere.

Very interesting game. The chilling atmosphere and music work really well together. Having health recovery placed around the map is a smart design choice, since it maintains tension without overly punishing the player. The walking controls feel very smooth. The witch can stop bothering me for now.

Very cool card-based tower defense design. The trap debuff system adds meaningful strategic depth, and the decision between the upgrade cost structure forces players to make deliberate trade-offs rather than obvious choices.

Funny thing is, Touhou was the first thing I thought of while designing the boss mechanics. But along the way, I realized I had unintentionally drawn inspiration from other games, which naturally blended into the design.

While the game looks like a simple 2D platformer at first, the narrative is what really makes the difference. Adding it was a smart design choice, as it keeps players engaged and gives more interest to the progression beyond just platforming.

Here and have fun!
