Stuff you didn't do during the jam
My friend SassInTheDark helped me code a lot of the trickier parts.
My friend NuZayats helped me model the main boat and inside.
My friend cliodynamics made the fishing song.
Some of my followers submitted 2d concept art for designs and fanart for the game, which are available in game through the shop (all are credited ingame, their work is fantastic!)
My friend Mechamonkeyz provided several ingame concepts, used with permission.
All the SFX are free sounds from the internet.

well if this doesn't win harmony i don't know what does.  i am such a sucker for very physical, diegetic inventory systems too.  also the catfish is very cute

i just hope we've learned our lesson and stay out of bimbo debt in the future

i'm an.. older... c programmer, not much into games.. this is a weird post and not meant as a criticism or detriment. the way the character moves, key down yes key up no is typical and a stylistic choice. i figure your engine probably has its own way of doing this but a lot of devs seem to do things the same way. you can smooth anything using the same formula for LERP:
value = value + w * (ideal_value - value);

what game developers don't like to recognise is that the w term there, isn't just "0 to 1 linear interpolant" it's angular frequency or "w" which is 2 * pi * frequency_in_hertz / samplerate and equivalent to a 6dB lowpass with the cutoff frequency at -3dB. (this is dsp, you can learn it from an old, simple text dspguide.com which will give you more education than game developers can relate to for reading it sitting on the toilet for a week). congratulations on getting this together and complete in time!

I've been trying to limit myself to around ten minutes per game as the rating deadline looms since I'm so far behind but gods help me I had to get everything in this one. The mechanics were simple enough to get quickly but fun enough to keep me excited to keep using them throughout, and I loved the imaginative inventory system, it was perfect. In the beginning I felt like progress might have been a little slow, but the sense of reward when I was bringing in the higher level fish three or four at a time turned out to be absolutely worth it. The galleries were a nice touch, and I thought it was really clever to have them right there in the game world. AMAZING first game, you should be super proud!

Me while playing: Wow that's pretty neat that the fish you catch is an actual 3D model in Finnie's mouth! But I see there's a capacity upgrade, I wonder how that's handled? Does the second fish just replace the first fish, or-- catches second fish ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Really had a great time with this, the gameplay loop is very relaxing, and the characters and the whole visual aesthetic is really quite endearing. Plus, the silly fishing song never failed to get a laugh out of me no matter how many times I heard it!

I absolutely love how cleverly well the sexual themes and gameplay fit together! Wonderful little game with sexy designs and great animations! The only thing I can suggest visually are lower barriers or larger colliders to help reduce clipping. The good camera controls do a lot of work, it's fun to position it in various ways to look at Finnie while catching more fish. The length of the game seems perfect, and the upgrades are all impactful. The sea ambience punctuated by the minigame jingle works really well. Awesome work, this is a phenomenal first game to release!

All around a solid little fishing game.  The designs are super charming.  I enjoyed it!

Reminds me of going fishing with my dad before he abandoned us. It was exactly like this!

I really liked the 3d models; the designs are really cute! I also really liked the little song that plays while catching the fish.

It may just be that my computer is already a bit old, or that I played the web version, but I find that loading between the shop and the rest of the ship takes a bit long; it's just a couple of seconds until the game loads the new scene, but it affects the flow of the game.

Also, if I had to be extra critical I’d say that the game doesn't present much variety. But that's ok for a first game and a Jam game. The game is still kinky and fun!

Congratulations on your first game! I enjoyed it!

also, let me put fish on the squid. xD

I loved every second of this. I wanna live in this Looney Tunes world where every creature wants my body so much that this becomes an effective method of fishing lol

First game? First game?!! This is incredible, excellent work!

Found on Bsky. Honestly a fun little game. Would love to see this expanded, if the dev wanted.

gets a bit repetitive but overall pretty fun game!

What an enjoyable cozy experience.
I finished the game once without realicing you could get a forth fish (my bad).
I went back and get all four fishes, get the pink borders to opacity 100, and didn't get more.
It's a betrayal! A stab in the back!
I'll have to play it 10 times more to make peace with it...

TLDR: I really liked it. Good job.

Just finished it after having purchased every item in the shop. Just wonderful, if perhaps a bit too simplistic. Finnie is such a lovely character, too. I really wish we could have seen more of her. Regardless, one of my favorite games of the Jam so far. Well done!

Simple and effective. I like how you're rewarded with concept art for playing the game. The character designs are pure eye candy, and having the tits latch on to your body parts is really hot. Honeslty impressive for a first game :)

Funny fishing game i like the wide variety of Fish and that you get to look at cool Fan art and Concept Art as a prize for playing the game.

The character design for the protagonist and the fish are really good! The animations are also super clean. One critique I have is that the mouse sensitivity for looking around does feel a bit too high. Other than that, it was easy to understand how to play and the overall progression felt like it was a good pace and not too slow.
