Looks & feels very polished! Great job!
I love how simple the graphics are while looking good!
Love the checkpoint animation!
Sick game, love the character design of the main character and the art ambient style in general
This game really sucked me in. Really satisfying to play. Impressive submit for a one-week jam ! Great world design too. Good job !
Nicely done! a metroidvania is very ambitious for a game jam game so congrats for taking the risk!
Visually stunning for a jam of one week. Audio was great. Gameplay was very fun but the controller can feel a bit stiff and not beeing able to aim was a bit frustrating for me. Matchs the theme well. Very simple concept but done right!
That was a lot of fun !! The grass is so cool as well. GJ

The presentation here is really top notch - I really enjoyed the main character (especially the same animation), the animated grass, the lighting. Honestly I loved all sound effects too, and the music was godlike - can listen to it all day.
For the gameplay side I have some comments - Not being able to aim fells wrong, especially with vertical enemies with tight corners. Last gun doesn't feel rewarding - too slow. The character fells too heavy while jumping. Not being able to just step on low steps like the save is a bit weird. Also when jumping up to a new section you're teleported to a platform, which feels weird too.
Thankfully I pushed through, and once you have 2 hearts the game becomes maybe a bit too easy - you can literally brute force because of so many hearts spawning from enemies and saving points. I prefer that, as I could enjoy everything has to offer - but with a little more balancing and tweaks, this one could be among the best
Very well made, the saving animation is cute
Amazing art with a very cute save animation!
I've never played Animal Well, but from what I've gathered, this is like Animal Well with a more retro feel, really cool!
Beautiful art n fun gameplay, though the SFX can be pretty annoying at times
Love it. This is the winner.
Very good pixel art and great weapon SFX. I don't like of the hurt sound at first I thought it was a reload or overheating effect, a mechanical with some bubbly damage sound would fit better, and adding a water‑level mechanic where each hit lowers the tank could make the save platform more meaningful, since it could also be used to refill the water.
Ooh love this refill idea. I kept trying to think how to implement the fishbowl as a mechanic and I love this.
The gameplay and collision in the game are very smooth. Really enjoyed it. Great work!
The visuals and aesthetics are great! However I though the game was a bit simple, as it was a metroid vania with not much to it. I see theres some bossfights later however it was hard to get to them since the game is hard and a bit repetative. However, I really liked the fish head and how the fish swam in the save points, and the music and sound were great, keep i up!
Kinda hard without being able to aim diagonally and it could use some background for levels, but overall i'd say 8/10 earthworm jims. Saving animation looks cool.
