Thank you for your feedback!
I fully agree with you on all points, only thing I want to say is there actually is a pause menu with a mouse sensitivity setting

Thanks! Funnily enough, I'm also not a fan of that date format, and there is a hint for it, right next to the room with the keypad door

Man, I really need to make that key puzzle clearer lol. Only thing that comes to mind is that you need to first take the key out of the machine, and then go to the lock and click it

Thank you! It's really nice hearing that, as this was my first attempt at making a puzzle game. The mouse issue is classic webgl shenanigans, the workaround is to click after each interaction that unlocks the mouse

Yeah, I gotta add some kind of hover tooltip for clickable things after the jam ends

(1 edit)

Thanks! I see lots of people are getting stuck on the key. Did you click the lock after taking the key?

I really enjoyed drifting over the dunes, and the effects look nice, but the life forms were way too well hidden, took me ages to find them all.

Thanks! For reference, the guy in the first comment here got the correct key cut depths written down, so you can compare with that. And just to be sure I gotta ask, did you click the lock? I know I didn't exactly make it clear that it's clickable

Love the checkpoint animation!

Very nice game, with a nice message! As many others said, the audio can be a bit too loud at times, but other than that, I really enjoyed it

Really nice visuals and atmosphere, and I liked the setting. My only problem was that at first I didn't realise there were clickable dialog options and got a bit confused

Just type it, like an old-school cheat code

I mean, that's kind of the point of the whole game, I don't really see how I could fix that. I guess I could try to limit places where players can be seen in two places at once while designing maps, but in general the maps are intended to be a bit more confusing than in a normal shooter.

The game jam version is still available, you can play that while I work on a rebalance

I may have overcorrected a bit with the difficulty, I'll think about nerfing the enemies.

And yeah, I'd like to add level select and overall a proper UI in an update

Submitted the file to microsoft for review and it seems to have fixed the issue

Ok, changed the AI slightly, now they get alerted by the player in groups and also react faster after they've already seen you. It's still possible to finish the first two levels without slow-mo, not sure about the last one though, I couldn't do it.

Damn, and I thougt I made it quite hard lol

Yeah I should probably somehow discourage the player from baiting enemies one by one to actually get in there and fight them

Yeah for now you can shoot grenades to make them explode but I guess some more interactions would be cool

It's the same as on itch

Thanks! I don't know exactly how long it took, but I'd guess somewhere around ten hours

Thanks! Yeah, I couldn't find any music that would fit better, mostly because I started searching towards the end of the game jam

You should go to the left and jump on the bit of the wall that's sticking out

Love the simplistic artstyle and the juiciness! The steering was a bit unintuitive at first but I got the hang of it pretty quickly

Really cool mechanic and great art!

Got stuck for a while in the room with the conveyor belt because I didn't realize you could scale the thing you're holding, but once I did, it was quite a satisfying puzzle, especially the part where you have to scale one box up and one box down

Love the board game artstyle and the bossfight!

Cool mechanic for a puzzle, I especially liked how the scalable buttons need a specific box size to activate

Love the artstyle and the juiciness of the explosions, but imo the game needs some kind of upgrade system to be able to better keep up with the enemies

Cool and simple artstyle, and overall very well executed game!

Thanks! The theme was "Built to scale" and "scaling" can be interpreted as climbing. Plus the lizard has scales on its body :)

Saying this is impressive would be an understatement. How the hell did you manage to make all of this in four days?

Loved the intro! Overall quite an interesting idea for a game, but it feels like it needs some rebalancing to be more fun

This is sooo fun and juicy!

Great eerie atmosphere! Also nice easter egg :)

I love the idea, but the aiming being timing based can be a little annoying, especially without any aiming reticle

I like how the short cooldown makes it feel like you have a bigger impact than on r/place

Genius and well executed idea! Bit too hard for me though lol

Really cool idea, very challenging. I really liked the juicy and responsive movement

That's weird, the link is set to never expire, and it seems to work for me. What happens when you click it?
