Very cute, but it was quite hard to understand the mechanics. I placed those spirits everywhere, and eventualy I found that they were supposed to line up while under the umbrella. I wish there was a tutorial, but once I figured it out it was quite fun! The art was gorgeous, and music was relaxing.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! It seemed like figuring out the mechanics could be a part of the puzzle but people have harder time with it than we thought. Next time we will make sure to include a tutorial screen.

I really loved this game. Navigation felt a little annoying some times (not being able to go between things and having to go around), but the puzzling was fun and the art and vibes are immaculate. I would enjoy playing more of this.

Cool idea. I enjoyed the puzzles and the presentation is nice. I also like the name of the game.

Great job.

very pretty game with a cozy atmosphere! being in the rain with an umbrella like this is relaxing! I found a few friends and took them along with me. Interesting stuff, thanks for submission!

Pretty cozy, nice looking game with a good concept, the gameplay is pretty boring but otherwise a nice game.

Developer

Thanks! We appreciate the honesty. I agree that the gameplay could be better but hopefully it is at least a relaxing experience.

Hee-Ho. Very cute game. I bit hard to understand rules for how spirits must be placed. But game is very nice

That is a really nice game! I liked the 3D with outlines style very much. The sound of rain is perfect. And I love the idea of a umbrella in fall. The gathering of spirits in a specific order was intuitive and good to navigate. Really great game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The idea of having a giant umbrella with something warm under it is how we started out.

This game has the best presentation out of all the games I've rated so far. The visuals, models and sound effects are terrific! Sadly, I was unable to move past the 4th level. I'm not sure if due to a bug in the placement of the ghosts, or I'm simply not that smart.

There are a couple of minor things I think could be improved:

  • The collision boxes are a bit too generous, and the best example of this is the small house to the right of the spawn, and the bush to its left. The gap between them looks very big, but the character can't walk through there. There are other examples that I ran into during the playthrough, which means that I had to constantly check where I can walk & where I can't by testing the collisions. This sort of thing isn't very pleasant. You could block off such areas with objects (rocks, trees, fences) to make it clear that the player isn't supposed to fit through them.
  • The ghost's colors & indicators are a bit too bright, so they clash with the rest of the assets. It would be cool to differentiate the ghosts based on other traits (one eye, an eyepatch, different coat, hat, etc.) instead of their colors, so they could blend in better.

Again, these are really minor things. The game is great as it is! Which is awesome, considering you made it for a game jam. Congratulations & good job!

Thank you! This is really good and accurate feedback.

You are totally right about the collisions. Level design was one of the last things we did so there wasn't too much time left to playtest and fix that.

We are also not perfectly happy about the spirit/indicator colors. Ideally there would also be symbols or other traits to distinguish between them for colorblind people, but we didn't manage to get into that and decided to keep the colors as distinct as possible.

The spirits' sound effects were so cuteee! This looks so pretty and the color puzzle is such a good concept ^-^

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The spirit sounds were all done by our artist in one take :D

Love this color combination puzzle game a lot โœจ๐Ÿปโ˜‚๏ธ
The ambiance is very nice and I love the global aesthetic and designs.
Well done !
PS : Touchscreen controls would be great ! Do you think about updating it ?

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Touchscreen should be easy to add but, on the other hand, I don't think the game is anywhere close to being optimized for mobile ;)

Loved it! I reached level 32 wanting to reach the end but I checked the coments and apparently it doesn't exist yet ๐Ÿ˜…. It was fun to play, the vibes are on spot and the graphics are just wholesome!

Developer(+1)

Wow, level 32 is crazy. Glad you liked it! My bad, we should've communicated somehow that it's endless after level 4.

Such a well-polished game — everything feels thoughtfully crafted down to the small details. It was a joy to play: great sounds, smooth dragging of the spirits, and a really charming visual style.

The theme was executed beautifully!

How many levels are there in total? I reached level 6 and my brain was already starting to melt ๐Ÿ˜… but I still wanted to see how it ends!

Absolutely loved the art and vibe. I had a great time with this one!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I think I will have to disappoint you because there is no ending currently (we ran out of time). We originally planned a reunion with all of the saved spirits inside the cottage, drinking hot chocolate and relaxing by the fire before the winter sleep.

There are 4 levels of raising difficulty so you can consider yourself beating the game! Puzzles are procedurally generated, so each time you play the spirit colors and their neighbor preferences are unique. Sorry for leading you on!

Beutifull, I took a bit of time to understand the puzzle but in general is very cool and polished

I had a bit of time to understand but very fun after that, the lasts levels are very hard! I like the polished aesthetic a lot <3

Developer

Really polished game! You instantly had me with your outline shader, I'm a big fan of those! Walking around and collecting ghosts and puzzling them together was a lot of fund! I might have found a combination you hadn't in mind in Level 3 that should work but hasnt (or maybe I'm still smooth brained from working on our game for 72 hours ๐Ÿ˜…) Great work!

Developer

Thank you! The levels only define the difficulty (number of spirits and "X" marks). Spirit colors are procedurally generated and different each time. It's using a really simple algorithm and unless there is a bug, there should always be a solution!
