I tried to download the game (windows) but my computer keeps identifying it as a virus and deleting it. I tried from a couple different browsers, it's a shame though because I saw snippets on a stream and it looked very cool. good luck!
yep.... absolute CINEMA. As I previously mentioned I LOVE the graphics. Your textures and lighting combined with that dither shader tie it all together so well. The ending kinda gave me goosebumps and the window sfx on the ending sequence were really good! There were some times with the painting where I got really creeped out, especially when she started kinda falling off the wall a little. Oh yea and that path the hand prints took over to the vent... euughhh!!!! Idk if you can actually die to whatever chases you out of the bunker or not cuz I was too scared to find out lol. I also liked the snow depressing under your feet. It was my favorite little detail of the game and I'm really glad you decided to use it as a useful mechanic later on down the game. Really good job for a week!
Literally didn't turn around to see what was chasing me I noped out of that shit so fast
Damn I'm so sad..... I got to the final day and needed to restart the generator, which I did. But then I tried to sleep and it gave me the message that "You need to restart generator". Then I couldn't open the door again to exit :[
If theres a video of the ending please send Q_Q.
That aside:
Pros:
Intro warning screen had amazing visuals and really set the tone.
Strong Transition into the main menu
Main Menu really helped contextualize the story
All the little tid bits of allusions where charming!
Love the changing photo graph on the wall
Amazing auditory cues that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time
Great sound fx and the constant feeling of something is lurking around the corner.
Cons:
Bug towards end of game
Chromatic Aberration effect a little strong so numbers at the bottom where hard to read. Are those 5's or 3'? 8's??
Would love to see more easter eggs, not sure 100% of the story
Overall definitely a scary game. Enjoyed playing till the point that I got. Nice expansion on a simple concept. I think certain visual novels can drag on a little long but this hit the sweet spot. Slightly wish I could type the numbers out with my keypad but that might've taken away from the gameplay. Well made! Especially if this was a solo dev... the impressiveness was on point.
Oh yeah that's the only known issue, shouldn't be able to get back in the bedroom once the painting changed. Here's a full playthrough by LonePC
Damn..... I wish I could've played through to the end.
Nice little lighting touches and great finale!!!
this was SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE. That ending was beautiful. Speaking of beatiful, visuals were amazing. It's amazing how u managed to create something so mysterious and unique. The audio was great as well, the little sfx throughout the game created a great atmosphere and made me a little paranoid lol But well this is such a great game already, idk how u managed to do this for a jam! Congrats I loved it <3
Yoo I really appreciate it. I REALLY like your game too, kinda similar themes lol
great minds think alike (??
kindred spirits type shi
Nailed it with the whole feel and look of the game! This one is a slow burner with it's moments! Love the snow effect and the overall vibe of the game!

No comment, everything is well cone and wonderfully executed!! Well done team!!
Also, Indonesian spotted-
I think this is the best jam game I have played so far. This is really an amazing game considering you had only a week. It's deeply inspired, disturbing, mysterious, and sent tons of shivers down my spine. The Dies Irae in the ending was the cherry on top. On the other hand, I didn't fully grasp the story, only the main vibes and themes. Maybe I lost some interactions, or maybe you kept it intentionally cryptic (which I think is also understandable given your inspiration from Lynch works).
Amazing stuff, keep making great games!
Thank you for the nice comment, and I'm glad someone caught the Dies Irae haha. As I've said in earlier replies to other comments, I went a little hard with the symbolism but I think they are not as opaque as one might think. I told my version of the story but I would encourage every player to try and put a little bit of their personal experience in interpreting it for themselves.
Anyway, thanks for playing, and I still need to play your submission, I got the tab open but I'm still going through my current backlog.
Very well done! The atmosphere and aesthetic of this one are wonderful. Very unnerving and certainly creepy. I did find that for the most part it didn't feel like there was much to do, but as a jam I certainly understand why. I did encounter a soft-lock, where during the final moments of the game (or what i assume are), I went back into the bedroom and shut the door and could not leave lol. Overall great job on this one, at the top of the list for me
Thanks for playing, and could you pinpoint at which point were you able to get back in the bedroom?
It was after the painting on the wall changed. I started to walk towards the ladder to go up, and turned around and the door to the bedroom was open so I just went in and couldn't get back out lol. Once again though great job
Ah I guess I missed that, thank you for telling me.
For a game made in one week, this is incredible. If people ask me what I would consider a 5-star aesthetic horror game, I would point to this as an example. I think overall you guys did a good job on making the act of phone calling mysterious, and I almost got a lovecratian feeling out of this game (especially with that ending), which is a very difficult thing to pull off, so I think it's worth praising on that front. Aside from that, I think this game will likely be one of many games to come out on top of this game jam, and I think it deserves it. I don't feel like I need to say it, but here we go, Great Game!
Man, what a game, dude! I confess I didn't understand much of what was going on, but I felt something deep in my soul. The whole atmosphere was extremely well-built; this game was simply insane to play. Congrats!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it and to hear that I had an impact on someone's soul is crazy. And like what I said in my reply to another comment, not understanding is a thing of beauty, it creates room for people to insert a little bit of themselves in the work.
I knew the picture would change I called it! (with no one around lol) Freaking fantastic game. I loved the vibes and graphics. The ending tied with the music and all of that stuff happening was just great. Overall a good submission!
Haha, yeah I knew someone would have guessed about the painting. And thank you for the nice comment.
Incredible sound design and unique feel, I loved how real it felt while also having such an interesting art style, the strange audio cues definitely spooked me, especially the pss haha. The ending is cinematic and just well executed. Brilliant, my favourite so far! Very, very well done :)
I appreciate the comment Zack, I'm glad you enjoyed the psst lol. I still need to play your game.
MMVP goes to this game. Executing horror without reliance on jump scares and masterfully setting the pace and atmosphere to create psychological horror. That one painting is pretty creepy on its own.
There is that one saying, the biggest fear is fear itself ---Franklin Roosevelt (?).
I think this game embodies that quote quite well.
Great job on the game!
Thank you this is precisely what I was trying to achieve.
This is the most polished game I’ve seen so far, and has some of the most striking visuals I’ve ever seen in a horror game. The scene where we enter the locked room really hit hard for me, the story was very well thought out. If you could write it in a spoiler tag, I’ve love to have an explanation for the ending scene. Amazing work overall!
Hi thank you for the nice comment. I love reading about people's experiences. I'm kinda a big subscriber to the idea that elaboration makes the work smaller. My intention is as relevant as if not less than any one player's interpretation. Not understanding is a thing of beauty, it creates room for people to insert a little bit of themselves in the work. I will say however, that I tried to explore multiple themes with this game, one of which is the loss of childhood innocence in an increasingly choking but mundane world. I went a little heavy with the symbolism but I really think they aren't as opaque as one might think. I mean it like it is, like it sounds.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to play and leave a comment. It REALLY means a lot that you are interested in the story.
I totally get letting the player interpret the game, I’m going to have to sit on my interpretations on the story, cause I have a lot of different thoughts about it lol.
Im rioting if this doesnt win the jam, this is so incredibly impressive, atmospheric, so much tension, you had a compelling story, amazing music. everything. this game is a 5/5 stars in all categories, legit making me jealous.
This brings a tear to my eyes. Thanks for the nice comment, I'm glad you enjoyed my game.
A very atmospheric and genuinely scary game! I really liked the inverted UI - it gives a unique feel - and the fact that you can go up to the attic. The autosave feature is also a nice touch!
I think you commented on the wrong game 🙏
One of the best games in this entire jam. Visually, the game has an amazing aesthetic and, to me, ranks alongside some of the best indie horror games in terms of pure visuals. The sound design is incredible; just a single noise is enough to spook me because of how well the atmosphere is built. The concept of using a phone booth in such a solitary place is not only visually interesting, but even when nothing overtly scary is happening, it really creeps into your mind.
The game itself, the way it moves, the way it controls, and how perfectly everything is implemented, does not even feel like a game jam project. It feels like a fully polished horror game I would actually buy, and it is better than many horror games I have paid for even considering its length. It is a very short yet haunting experience. I really enjoyed it; its atmosphere and horror were amazing. This game is pure art.
Though I do wish the Morse code and all of that were jotted down on our notepad so that we could decode it later!
Thank you so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate the kind words, I really tried my hardest to make sure the basic player interaction feels immersive and it's really great that you noticed that. This really keeps me motivated to keep making stuff, thank you
I loved every second of this. I can absolutely see the inspiration by David Lynch here, your game hits some of the notes - the heavy industrial visuals, the subtlety in conveying the meaning. Amazing work.
Thank you, I'm glad the vision got through. I mean it like it is like it sounds.
Our games have some really similar aesthetics and mechanics :D
The game is really wellmade, the tension building up at the final night was really really good, made me scared to walk LOL! But I am not sure what happened, but nothing was going on, I went outside and back in, and still nothing was happening, turns out you have to close the generator door thingy for the game to progress, instead of just flipping the switch, which made me quite confused and sadly, lost the amazing and anxiety inducing tension built beforehand for me, its little details like this that can really kill games sometimes cause this could have been a geniune PERFECT horror jam game experience!
The story telling is quite abstract and poetic but the morse code playing on the phone should deffinelty have been written down in the notebook, the game actually intrigued me enough to go decipher the codes that were vissually present on the little phone screen, and I deffinetly would have gone and deciphered the codes if they were to be written in the note book, I am not sure what the audio morse codes say but the first morse code that was vissualy represented (hi dad) really gave me the idea of what the game was suppose to be about and without me decifering it, it would have made the game alot more confusing story wise. Although if the audio morse code was just nonsence, it really added to the creepy vibe of the game, this language that was created for ussually sending out disstress calls that a small amount of people know now a days, and hearing it could really mean anything, is it a warning, a messege? Adds a bit to the terror so I do not think it is all bad.
At the beggining of the game, I was kind of lost as to how the door was supose to be open lol, I first spammed the crank, then I held it and saw the open button, clicked again and the crank just turned again, I at first figured the door was not even supose to be opened, so it kinda lost me for a bit, could have signaled a bit better that you have to click on the door and not the crank, thankfull this was the beggining of the game and didn't ruin the flow of it that much.
Top marks, probably the best game I have seen so far, splendid work !
Thank you for the detailed feedback. I appreciate it truly. I was planning to add a progress icon like the one in lethal company for the door handle, but sadly didn't have enough time. And yeah I should've made the morse codes written in the notebook as a couple people have pointed out. Thanks for taking the time to decipher the morse codes, really made me smile ear to ear.
And I still need to finish your game, I gotta clear my backlog first
No problem!
I am currently fixing some issues and adding some quality of life stuff to my game so it is not in its prime just yet!
As for the door hatch, the log only updated once I closed it?
I think you're talking about the "follow the trail" log? That log is added automatically if the player is stuck for 3 minutes so I think it was a coincidence. You could follow the trail and progress right after turning on the generator, I added the log just for players that didn't follow the blood trail instinctively and I made the delay 3 minutes so that the players that do get the instinct to follow the trail feel like they solve it on their own.
Okay that is quite a funny coincidance lmfao!
Still quite confusing, I did not even notice the snow trail when I went outside for the first time, its quite hard to spot, I tried following the hand trail then and only after going outside for like the third time did I notice the snow trail.
No one seems to have complained about this so maybe I am just super slow :P
Nahh this is valid, every design can always be improved so I really appreciate hearing your experience.
Wait, I don't think you need to close the generator hatch to progress
