Our games have some really similar aesthetics and mechanics :D

The game is really wellmade, the tension building up at the final night was really really good, made me scared to walk LOL! But I am not sure what happened, but nothing was going on, I went outside and back in, and still nothing was happening, turns out you have to close the generator door thingy for the game to progress, instead of just flipping the switch, which made me quite confused and sadly, lost the amazing and anxiety inducing tension built beforehand for me, its little details like this that can really kill games sometimes cause this could have been a geniune PERFECT horror jam game experience!

The story telling is quite abstract and poetic but the morse code playing on the phone should deffinelty have been written down in the notebook, the game actually intrigued me enough to go decipher the codes that were vissually present on the little phone screen, and I deffinetly would have gone and deciphered the codes if they were to be written in the note book, I am not sure what the audio morse codes say but the first morse code that was vissualy represented (hi dad) really gave me the idea of what the game was suppose to be about and without me decifering it, it would have made the game alot more confusing story wise. Although if the audio morse code was just nonsence, it really added to the creepy vibe of the game, this language that was created for ussually sending out disstress calls that a small amount of people know now a days, and hearing it could really mean anything, is it a warning, a messege? Adds a bit to the terror so I do not think it is all bad.

At the beggining of the game, I was kind of lost as to how the door was supose to be open lol, I first spammed the crank, then I held it and saw the open button, clicked again and the crank just turned again, I at first figured the door was not even supose to be opened, so it kinda lost me for a bit, could have signaled a bit better that you have to click on the door and not the crank, thankfull this was the beggining of the game and didn't ruin the flow of it that much.

Top marks, probably the best game I have seen so far, splendid work !

Thank you for the detailed feedback. I appreciate it truly. I was planning to add a progress icon like the one in lethal company for the door handle, but sadly didn't have enough time. And yeah I should've made the morse codes written in the notebook as a couple people have pointed out. Thanks for taking the time to decipher the morse codes, really made me smile ear to ear.

And I still need to finish your game, I gotta clear my backlog first

No problem!

I am currently fixing some issues and adding some quality of life stuff to my game so it is not in its prime just yet!

As for the door hatch, the log only updated once I closed it?

I think you're talking about the "follow the trail" log? That log is added automatically if the player is stuck for 3 minutes so I think it was a coincidence. You could follow the trail  and progress right after turning on the generator, I added the log just for players that didn't follow the blood trail instinctively and I made the delay 3 minutes so that the players that do get the instinct to follow the trail feel like they solve it on their own.

Okay that is quite a funny coincidance lmfao!

Still quite confusing, I did not even notice the snow trail when I went outside for the first time, its quite hard to spot, I tried following the hand trail then and only after going outside for like the third time did I notice the snow trail.

No one seems to have complained about this so maybe I am just super slow :P

Nahh this is valid, every design can always be improved so I really appreciate hearing your experience.

Wait, I don't think you need to close the generator hatch to progress
