Glad you enjoyed! I do love the jitter effect but actually found I couldnt put it on everything or else it wouldnt look great so its only on some things and its very uneven cuz i kinda got distracted half way thru... like how the board will jitter through the wall while the keyboard or printer will jitter a bit while the trucks and license plates will stay still. I guess i'm too fast of a reader or maybe it just gets easier once you know what it's about to say or smth... idk ill definitely lengthen the text timing haha. ngl i came across the door thing in my testing too but it reminded me of old roblox games and i decided to keep it lol. Thanks for the feedback!

man oh man. I really liked the title screen, I thought it was really clever. First night i spent hiding in the laundry room admiring how well the textures on the washer and dryer were done lol. but then i got jumpscared when I learned the ghost could go through walls at frightening speeds. noped right on outta there. In preparation for night 2, I explored the upstairs and got caught off guard by a well placed shooting dummy lmao. right after i collected myself night 2 starts, where the ghost almost immediately traveled right through me, and in the process gave me quite the jumpscare lmao. spent the rest of the night dodging bullets until i hid behind the tv holding a drawer and then the game crashed. Night 3, 4, and 5 were more of the same, minus the game crashing.

Funny scares and really good textures, great job guys.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad it's atmospheric. I too enjoyed the lights getting closer from a distance and so as a result I spent like 30 minutes on making them look good lol. I'm really glad I was able to do a clean jumpscare too, since it was my first time even attempting one that's any more complicated than a png showing up infront of your camera lmao. standing in the road seems to be a popular thing to do haha.

real talk tho, im thinking of possibly expanding the game (not sure) to include things like cargo manifests and trailer searches n stuff but like... idk. not sure whether its viable lol.

Anyways, thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for playing! Glad you appreciate the polish. Unfortunately didn't have time to populate it with many scares after it was all said and done lol

Cool concept, I like this take on the "timing puzzle" formula. The visuals were really well done too!

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked the atmosphere lol. put some effort into it

Thanks for coming back! Always glad to be featured in your videos. I think I mighta made a mistake with the credits button cuz there is a whole credits screen somewhere in the game i must've linked it to the wrong button or something.

Thanks for playing! The song is Memories by Hephestos ;)

I loved the graphics! I enjoyed shocking people for the love of the game too lol. I have like 400 hours on papers please, so uh....... (😳) i definitely liked this one! that being said i am nowhere NEAR as good at your game as i am papers please haha. sent a fair few to their wrongful deaths my first playthrough. I liked how effectively you built tension up with the knocking too . You guys did pretty good for the week you had.

really impressed how you made a multiplayer game in a week! makes me wanna try my hand at one... unfortunately i have no friends so i couldnt test this one out with anyone nor would i be able to test my own... The graphics ever-so-slightly reminded me of a couple SCP games at times too. Honestly I think this has a lot of potential to be really cool if you put some more time into it after the jam. Great job... especially for a week!

ohhh yea. this is definitely my style. Had my large and small intestines mixed up at first and was kinda confused why they didn't like what I gave them but then I found the little anatomy poster. My second playthrough I kinda went all buffet style and just lined up plates as much as I could. Was surprised it let me, haha. My only gripe is that it doesn't seem like you can reliably have a parasite when asked. At least without shuffling a ton of cadavers. (isnt that a fancy word). Really impressive for a week, and honestly one of my favorites of this jam!

i really liked your game! I thought that it was pretty scary... the environment and the monsters. Found myself walking backwards so i cant get snuck up on. pretty solid if i do say so myself

I do quite love 2.5D games... somethin about em. The gameplay complexity you packed into 7 days is pretty nuts and I quite enjoyed the little skull fellow. However, I did have a bit of an issue with figuring the controls out at first and got stuck (literally) on a few objects. (not for too long tho dw) If not already, jolt physics engine helps a LOT.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you appreciated the daily trucking highlights. And with the time between trucks... I totally agree. I think after the jam I'll probably reduce that time from ~20 seconds to maybe like 3... maybe have em come out the ground too for that added pep. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! I actually had the idea to add a little timer at the end that upon timing out would kinda nudge you in the right direction but it musta slipped my mind when it came time to code the end lol. Glad you appreciated the honking, and thanks for the feedback!

I really loved how polished your game was! It was fun and proved that you don't need quantity of content, but rather quality. One issue I found, though, is that the web version didn't capture my mouse so my movement was limited. Had to download. I really liked the aesthetics too. Good job for a week.

Nice game! I like the environment  and how the game is best played by running through and adjusting course on the fly. Some points were pretty difficult though, and I have a feeling it has to do with either the player or creature hitboxes needing to be fine-tuned. I'm grateful that the reset noise was a bell instead of a beep as well, cuz I definitely did a lot of restarting at the beginning.

yep.... absolute CINEMA. As I previously mentioned I LOVE the graphics. Your textures and lighting combined with that dither shader tie it all together so well. The ending kinda gave me goosebumps and the window sfx on the ending sequence were really good! There were some times with the painting where I got really creeped out, especially when she started kinda falling off the wall a little. Oh yea and that path the hand prints took over to the vent... euughhh!!!! Idk if you can actually die to whatever chases you out of the bunker or not cuz I was too scared to find out lol. I also liked the snow depressing under your feet. It was my favorite little detail of the game and I'm really glad you decided to use it as a useful mechanic later on down the game. Really good job for a week!

Thanks for the feedback! When I submitted it I was certain the game was like that one spongebob gif (Coaxed into sponge on rollercoaster : r/coaxedintoasnafu). Glad it was able to give a nice creepy vibe lol. Thx for playing.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad the gameplay is at least manageable lol. I'm a real sucker for those orange monochromatic gas-plasma displays (🤓) that they would use in the 1980s and when I finally got an excuse to put one in a game I just had to take it. Glad I remembered to add the ability to get run over, haha. It was something I thought about at like 4AM one of the last days and went "oh yea that does happen in real life". Unfortunately, though, I didn't think of the possibility that anyone would ever unfocus the web version lol. Guess I'll fix after the jam. Thanks for the feedback!

yay i made it! I do love weeping angel monsters. I also liked how balanced they were. They don't go too fast when you turn around but still inch forward when you're looking at them, so you can't just sit in a corner and stare at them like my brother and I used to do in the one roblox game about them back in like 2014. The cocktail stick mechanic was also nicely effective in getting you to move around. My favorite mechanic by far though was the mirror. It was fun getting better at being able to flick my view into a spot where they're in the mirror as i make my escape. I also really appreciated the sound design. The foot noises getting so fast when you don't look struck terror in me every time lol

Overal very enjoyable, nice job this time around!

Wheyyy thanks for playing! It's been a busier weekend than I had anticipated so thanks for putting up with the bare page and also thanks for the offer lol. Your insight was quite helpful as usual, and I took advantage of the extended bugfixing deadline to fix everything you told me about (and a bit more lol). Thanks for the feedback, can't wait to play yours!

thanks for playing

nice work! I liked the aesthetics. And the continuous waiting rooms and monotonous footsteps really got me into the rhythm of the repetition, so much so that the little black hole thing at the end really got me. Loved the addition of the spinning clocks too lol

I liked this game. The aesthetics were nice, the realization of what you’re doing, and then the looping over again until you can complete the objective was fun too. The game was engaging, and talking to all the NPCs was interesting. I especially liked the subtle change of music when you got on the platform. Really helped get across the feeling of rushing to catch your train. Good job on the game!

thanks for playing! I used a slightly tweaked Kuwahara filter to achieve the rendering you see in the game. I’m glad you enjoyed what I had to offer haha

I really enjoyed your game! I especially liked the scare with the person in the window. Reminded me about that one game with the garbage truck… cleaning redwood or something like that. I found humor in the radio as well. As the librarian would say, it’s creepy and cozy. Good work!

the monster reminds me of my old sleep paralysis demon lol. I like the aesthetic and those whispers were spooky! The idea was nice, though I would sometimes lose my character off screen, and didn’t know what to do or how to do it for the first few minutes. Overall it’s a nice experience though. Good job on the game!

I liked your sound design! My first time playing through I didn’t know what to do, but I came back and found the path, and honestly have no gripes with it that you’re not already aware of! Good job on your first ever horror game

game felt a nice mix between creepy and cozy. Nice one!

I liked the aesthetic! I also liked the different NPCs you could interact with. Good stuff!

na this game was so cool! The radio was a fun feature to use (my brother thought there was something wrong with me cuz I kept screaming “poop” over and over again for the crows… great implementation of the theme btw!). The crow jumpscare was also effective! Like a lot… I jumped (genuine air between me and the seat) at the first one, and when it happened while the scarecrow was out and about my chair turned a different color lmao. And the graphics were really nice! My only gripe is that sometimes the radio was a bit hard to understand.

I like how you implemented the theme! Was a little confused at first but then got to talk to some NPCs and found out where to go. Had me some tense moments, also the kill animations were good. Nice submission

thanks for playing! Yea the Kuwahara filter is a really cool shader. Glad I was able to finally make a startling jumpscare lol

thanks man! I’m glad you liked it! Spent a while on the juice of the controller

thank you! Yea the bellwretch is scary bro late at night I didn’t wanna play with sound on while testing cuz I was too scared by like 4am ☠️

lookin forward to seeing it finished man who knows maybe I’ll watch him play through it over some dinner soon

yea jolt should fix that. I use the automatic trimeshes all the time now no issue using it.

much respect, the sprites looked really good! Loved the style. Had some trouble with keybinds at the start but got over them pretty quick. I love how you were able to make something with such a cutesy art style actually creepy near the end. This would definitely get a manlybadasshero playthrough when finished lol.
