Developer

thanks for playing

Wow! May I ask how you achieved this kind of blurry 3D rendering? The intriguing models, eerie atmosphere, and suspenseful storyline are truly amazing.

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing! I used a slightly tweaked Kuwahara filter to achieve the rendering you see in the game. I’m glad you enjoyed what I had to offer haha

Loved the Watercolor(?)-like artstyle, looked really unique. Gameplay-wise was very enjoyable too, the jumpscare really got me the first time hahah

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing! Yea the Kuwahara filter is a really cool shader. Glad I was able to finally make a startling jumpscare lol

Very well conveyed the idea of over and over, I also really like the controller, the camera swing just looks awesome

Developer (1 edit)

thanks man! I’m glad you liked it! Spent a while on the juice of the controller

Really well excecuted! I thought the gameplay mechanic and enemies were really simple but effective, the art style was awesome and I felt genuinely jumpscared by that bell every time haha

Developer

thank you! Yea the bellwretch is scary bro late at night I didn’t wanna play with sound on while testing cuz I was too scared by like 4am ☠️

The atmosphere in this game is amazing, feels like a claustrophobic nightmare! Visuals are great and the tension reminds me why i love this stuff. Congratulations!

thanks for the kind words! The gameplay seems to be a little hit or miss lol but I’m glad you liked the vibes

When (hopefully… maybe) I rework this into a full game it definitely will be drastically different gameplay while retaining those good points

Really loved this one!

The painterly effect does wonder for this game's vibe. The story is interesting as well.

However, the gameplay is dragged out way too long because of the bellwether, sometimes it feels like he's actively blocking from actually progressing the game which made a 15-20 minute game into an hour-long game (yes that's how long I've been trying to beat the game)

This game has potential but as of now, I am too lazy to deal with bellwether

Developer

thanks for playing! Really sorry that happened to you lol… moving forward I’m definitely gonna rework it so that the map isn’t so 1dimensional. Thank you for the feedback, as it’s done wonders to help me figure out where I might take this game

Concept is good, story is also really cool. Gameplay does get a bit repetitive.

Developer

thanks for the feedback!

This game was super pretty I loved the way you get sort of lulled into a false sense of security in the dark area... Almost like driving on a long highway and then bam! There's the head, great job!

Developer(+1)

thank you for playing! glad you liked it

Great job with the camera movement and flashlight, it felt spooky. I really like how you did the textures, did you make the textures? and did you apply a shader to them? The guy that talks to you is a nice little half-jump scare. good effects on when the monster appears! a bit too much turning around tho. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I spent like an hour on the first person controller lol… usually I’d just take this old one I made a while ago but I decided to make something fresh since movement is a lot of the game. And yes, I did do the textures! I did apply a shader to everything other than the UI using a viewport shader. Glad you liked it

the game is nice i really like REALLY love that graphics but i was turniing so much man i like that u added more enemies after that chasing head to make it more difficult but before that i was saying like how long do i have to keep turning around. If this is loop game that keeps on adding new enemies its great.but if its game with ending i hope its not so long or idk.Good game tho

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing! Glad to know you liked the graphics. I do agree with you on the turning… I meant to add another monster or something to break that up, but missing 4 out of the 7 days was pretty rough on those plans lol. I meant for it to be a loop game where eventually more monsters on top of the bellwretch make it more difficult to beat instead of level length. I even stopped adding length to levels after level 2 lol

Submitted(+1)

Really cool game, I like the gameplay loop of avoiding the Bellwretch, and the story is a nice touch as well.

I also like the artstyle as well, everything looks a bit splotchy, almost like it was painted. I am curious as to how that was achieved.

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing! glad you liked it. the graphics were achieved by a Kuwahara shader that I tweaked for like 2 minutes lol. It’s a really overlooked style I think it looks so good!
