Cool game! It's so unusual to play a car stealth game. I wish the game was slightly easier; I had a lot of trouble just exiting the starting area because the monster was camping it, even without lightsand going slightly. The monster is really hard to avoid. But the game is super original, and I had a good time on it! I hope you'll make some updates after.
Pretty tense game, I must say. It has a very nice concept, but the monster is pretty hard to avoid once it sees you. I couldn't beat the game, but I had a good time playing it...and crashing my car a lot because I was driving too quickly and couldn't see where I was going.
Glad you liked it! :D
A damn creepy game, got me quite a few times. So creative with the idea of driving, the limited turning really adds to the tension. Nice job!
Glad you liked it!
Pretty well-rounded game, didn't run into any bugs while playing. I will say that I managed to get pretty far in, but I feel like the general gameplay loop itself does get a bit boring after a while. With how the tutorial explained things, I thought that sound was going to be a really big game mechanic, but it never really popped up. Another nitpick I have is that the audio sound that loops while driving doesn't exactly sound natural, and I feel like it could've been swapped with a more soothing hum of some kind. Either way, pretty good submission overall, and for being made in 1 week, I think it's a pretty good game! Good stuff!
Thanks for the feedback! i wiil try my best to improve the game after the jam!
Solid, enjoyable. The car felt nice to drive. Although Sense of what I was meant to do was lacking.
That and it felt like the monster was pretty hard to avoid once they had eyes on you.
Once or twice I just drove straight into them at top speed and I wasn't sure what I was meant to do there.. Likely my fault to some level for getting into that position in the first place but still.
At the very least that feeling of stopping the car and turning off to avoid them was good and had a some tension to it.
Doesn't ruin it, I enjoyed myself. Just that those would be the things to work on if you did a post jam update, if you ask me.
Oh, one last nitpick while I'm here. You got the jumpscare when you lose yep good, but I feel like the face stays on screen a good second or two too long so I'm just left looking at them waiting to fade out every time I died..
That's all, good game.
Thanks for the feedback! Ill work on the stuffs u mentioned in the next update!
Out of all of the car horror games that I played in this jam, this was the one in which driving felt the best. Having to speed up like crazy with the monster behind you is intense as fuck and I love it.
My only nitpick is that there is a lack of direction. It would be dope to see a post-jam version with objectives and more places to explore.
Thanks for playing!
cool idea, not to sure what i was doing wrong or how to avoid the monster as there wasnt any warnings that i could see. might just be user error but just felt like i had to drive until i got unlucky die and start again
Thanks for playing! you see i added an arrow showing the monsters location when in range so that you can flee (Monster wont chase you until you get more close than this range)
ahh my bad must have missed it! ill give it another go!
I liked the concept a lot here, but found myself wanting a little more. A little more mechanics to exercise, a little more story, or maybe something else. The controls felt like a good fit for the game, but I never quite mastered outsmarting the monster using 'em. Thanks for making and sharing your game!
Glad you liked it! Btw I'm planning to work more on this project after the jam
Nice job! A top down driving game with a dodge the monster mechanic is really interesting and unexpected. It's pretty difficult too, I've yet to even get to fill up the car without dying before the gas runs out ^^;
Thank You! I guess Ill just add a difficulty setting in next update!
Loved the game, everything looks great and it's fun to play!
Glad you Liked it!
I replayed the game and changed my ratings.
An interesting game, I like the sound and the feel and look of the game! A well though game design. Kinda wished that there were few objectives in the game to keep the player pushing forward.
Thanks for playing! for the objectives i thought filling gas and repairing the car would be enough tho more objectives would be cool like upgrading the car with money and you can get money from like delivery or smth? you know what thats a cool idea ill look on it!
Filling gas and repair felt more of side systems not really objectives to make the player progress and play the game, there's no reason for driving and no reward in the game. It's a cool concept that can be further expanded with tasks for players to do.
The loading progress bar reached 100% and that was it... It didn't load for half a minute, so I couldn't play.
that wasnt supposed to happen i playtested the game in many types of devices of different specs i never incountered it :(
You really did a great job,the concept was excellent too!
But the controls were tricky, so dodging monsters was tough at first!
Still, the game itself seems good :)
Thanks for Playing
Pretty interesting idea... thought I did find it a bit hard, as I don't really know how to avoid the monster. But the worst part is the beginning where you can't skip that radio talk and it takes a while for pressing E to start the car to actually work...
The atmosphere is pretty cool and creepy, the art is pretty cool as well... I am not really a fan of the car movement, it feels a bit off, mainly that if i move forwards with W, I expected s to brake or something...
But overall, pretty cool idea, has a tone of potential.
I am improving the controls and adding stuffs like skipping, tutorial and all during the bug fixing period anyways thanks for your feedback!
I love the atmosphere and concept, and I wish I could see more, but I just can't get past the controls - that could be on me not knowing driving game controls (no brake, though?), but I couldn't even get out of the parking lot before dying :/
Honestly i feel like the controls need a bit polishing it is a bit clunky and yep Im trying to improve it during this bug fixing period... btw S is for reverse as well as break anyways thanks for playing!
Really interesting and tense game, it kept me feeling in danger the whole time. I got stuck after hitting the side of the road and couldn’t move, but besides that, it was a scary and fun experience. This game is simple to understand and genuinely creepy. Good job!
Thanks for playing!
I like the art, but there is a lack of UX. Like, it would be cool to have controls info and the option to skip intro.
Thanks for playing!
I really enjoyed the aesthetic choices in the game. The minimilistic color palette and camera filters really help provide a compelling atmosphere. Great submission!
Thanks for playing!
Why does this feel like something Miziziziziziz would make 8/10 a bit confusing in the start
Oh I love that guy, the fact I watched his videos to get an idea how to make a top down monster... Anyways thanks for playing!
