One of the best games in this jam. The visual style and sound design are very high-quality. You've captured the feeling of paranoia perfectly. I really hope you make a big game out of this.

Ah body snatchers papers please xD  This was really well put together aesthetically and functionally! I don't get why the Info Cards are the size of a computer  3.5 HDD though in the future xD  Feel like just being able to flick through profiles on the screen would of been sufficient but this does add a little extra gameplay!

I know this is more so an issue of circumstance but checkpoints are always appreciated especially in game jams! It's not the fastest game so being able to skip past stuff already done would be nice (Unless its randomised).  Killed a human by accident and just a "Game Over" seemed a bit underwhelming (maybe have them screaming on the radio at you as they get blown up or something or "Tell whoever I love them").

Anyway again good work :)

Thank you for playing and your insight! Yes, each run is randomized so it'll be different each time.

Amazing game! Love space related atmosphere well done! Very nice audio. Good Job

A fantastic and fun game! I love the concept, which is similar to Papers Please and other games like this, yet keeps it fresh and unique. Everything from the visuals, sound design, atmosphere and voice acting is stunning and very well put together.

The gameplay is also well thought out and executed, though it was a bit confusing at first. I haven't actually been able to beat the game, since I may not be understanding certain things too well. Sometimes the ship and VOCs weightwould be way higher than the normal average, or the oxygen level too low for the abnormalities listed for the crew members, which made it feel random.

Also, the default music volume is way too loud considering listening to sound is important, but it's not a big issue, since it can be adjusted at any point.

The overall game is very fun and well polished! Impressive work!

Wow. The aesthetics and feel of this. Good job!

The 2D 3D artstyle mash up is really cool and something I've also done for another game too! The UI and menus are all super clean and really well executed! I wish there was a bit more audio effects when you press buttons. Interesting take on the screening security genre! Really cool game! Can see it being expanded into a full game and has lots of potential for some good scares!

I would love to play this game, but...

Do you have somewhere to submit bug reports?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

thats the first time I've seen that one. DM me on Discord @bbeary10

We also have a Windows build you could download and try as well

Really liked the atmosphere and the retro art style! It took some time for me to understand all the subtility of the gameplay, the tutorial dialogue is good but without visual indications i was confused. It's not very clear when you start the game, for example i didn't catched how the ID system and the tapes were working in my first session. Also i still don't know what the "power" thing is used for, i guess you lose power when you make a mistake and choose the wrong option with the ship ?

On the horror side, it was lacking some audio clues to make the game even more creepy i think, i was actually expecting something scary / uncanny to show up on some of the screens but it never happened. Anyway the game is pretty polished and it reminded me of great games like Iron Lung, Papers Please... Very good game!!

Loved the sci-fi horror vibes! The art and choices really kept me on edge. Great work — definitely one of the standout games of the jam! Rated and left a comment :)

This kind of reminded of “No, I am not a human” game. Definitely, this one is not the exact copy but a fairly unique game concept with a lot of new features. Not to mention that we can’t skip the guy’s blabbering, so please add a feature to do so. Keep on developing such experiences.

Developer(+1)

The intercom guy does actually skip his dialogue if you accept/deny the first ship. The first ship was designed around being a sort of tutorial that intercom tries to teach you how to process the ship. Thanks for playing our game!

Interesting game, not quite as scary as I hoped it'd be as it is just a near copy of games like Papers Please, but that's not to say it doesn't have unique stuff going on. I enjoyed the quantity of things to check and the fact that you had to move all around the room to do it while still keeping that "sitting in one place" feel (kinda felt like I was scooting around in a rolling chair at the office or something). It's a simple enough and enjoyable game, perfect for a Jam, good work!

Very well polished and atmospheric project, I really enjoyed it!

Keep up the good work!

Amazing game with a captivating atmosphere! I love this new take on the "papers, please" like game. The character's move set is very satisfying, player's ability to move from one section of the room to the other adds dynamic to otherwise static gameplay which makes the whole experience even more interesting to me. Graphics and sound design are top tier, I especially liked the characters' sprites and, of course, the voice acting. Details in game are so good too, starting from the character's reaction to speeding through game's tutorial to the little monitor with studio's logo in the corner of the room. During my playthrough I came across a small glitch that turned one section of the ID monitor completely white but simply changing the tape fixed it. Overall the game is remarkably fun to play and I'd absolutely love to see the project being develop further after the jam!

The introduction was really impressive — it felt like the opening scene of a movie and immediately pulled me in!
At first, I was a little confused because of all the monitors, but I quickly got used to it.

The graphics and atmosphere… how should I put it?
It has that slightly retro sci-fi feel — and I mean that in a very positive way!
I’m not exactly sure what the perfect English term for it would be, but it’s definitely the kind of mood I love.

I had a great time playing it — thank you for making such a wonderful game!

It's a really great game. The only thing I can think of is that you feel a bit overwhelmed at the beginning by the many monitors, but once you understand the game, it's smooth sailing.

died, not sure why but I must've missed something :D cool looking game, nice spinnof

My base got invaded! Pretty cool little game idea. I got really confused with the other monitors, so I stuck with the main panel and RNJesus. The chock sound on the heart was pretty funny.

I loved the graphics! I enjoyed shocking people for the love of the game too lol. I have like 400 hours on papers please, so uh....... (😳) i definitely liked this one! that being said i am nowhere NEAR as good at your game as i am papers please haha. sent a fair few to their wrongful deaths my first playthrough. I liked how effectively you built tension up with the knocking too . You guys did pretty good for the week you had.

A very well-developed and polished game. I liked the space-related atmosphere. Pleasant visuals and very good sound effects. Excellent work.

So polished! Really immersive experience. The voice acting really sells that, well done. I love menus and UI being integrated into the game world <3. Simple gameplay loop (very Papers Please!) but enhanced by the visuals, story, and atmosphere.

Tiniest issue was the fps camera was a lil glitchy on web.

But other than that well done, seriously!
