I loved the visuals and the game mechanics are pretty original and fun. Quirky and impressive entry, with an amazing look. Good job!

Hey! Super cool game mechanics, very solid proof of concept, this could be a really good casual game for portable consoles.

To give you a bit of feedback:

- There would be more visual feedback overall, like animating the rising of the walls for example, or visually showing the connection to the points.

- And I feel like the game is a bit too flat, some shading could give it a more pleasing depth.

Otherwise great job, I really enjoyed playing this, music was fitting and smashing the walls was satisfying (good use of the 2btns card btw). Really kept me in the flow.

Developer

Yes, and there are still some little bugs too. I totally agree with all your feedback, thank you a lot for this! :)

Wow this is a very unique entry! I also had the problem with thinking there was only one level in the tutorial and was very confused on what to do for a minute. Aside from that, great sound effects, smashing the walls felt pretty good, really liked the graphics aswell.  The player can see the red walls going up from underground each round, not sure if that was intended
Great job!

Developer(+1)

It was :) I thought it would help the player to organize themselves. And sorry for the tutorials ^^'

But thank you very much for your comment :D

Ah not really ur fault I think hahah, but maybe making the tutorial into an actual level would solve it for people like me

Clarifying about the walls, the ones you can see on the surface of the level were really smart! It added nicely to the game, giving a chance to position better at the end of each round for the next walls. The ones I was talking about were the ones wayy underground, its kinda hidden but the player can see a bunch of walls coming up from the space under the platform each round. Honestly I thought it looked cool, but maybe it wasnt intentional

Developer(+1)

Well, I knew it was there, I could easily hide it, but I found it kind of fun XD

It takes forever to load, but the game is nice.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the message! I will play yours asap :)

Was a bit confused about what was the goal at first but after that it was pretty neat! I really enjoyed the look and sound of the game. Great work!

I was kinda confused about what i was supposed to do at first, and the controls take a while to get used to, but after it clicked this is probably my favourite game from this jam so far. the art is really great too

Developer

Thank you for your message! :)

I made my brother play and we realized he didn't play the three tutorials, thinking there was only one. Did you have the same issue? I think I should add a menu to the tutorials so people see there are three of them.

(+1)

I did play all three tutorials, but i do think it wasn't that clear that there was more than one

Interesting game! The "skating" player was fun to control and I liked the world and graphics. I was a little confused as to what I was supposed to do with the triangle on the ground and what the actual goal to progress was.

Developer

Thank you for this message :)

Sorry for that. I made my brother play and we realized he didn't play the three tutorials, thinking there was only one. Did you have the same issue? I think I should add a menu to the tutorials so people see there are three of them.

Wow, very polished, nice graphics and cool soundtrack!! Not bad! I also like the main menu and the tutorial, it really helps to get into the flow.

Very good game, but overall a little to stressful for me lol :D

Submitted

Oh my gosh, I got so stressed in the last few levels! I didn't quite understand that if you didn't break a wall before the time ran out it would turn into a wall that you couldn't break (cause I rushed through the tutorial. And then it happened and I was like, "OH NOOO!! I needed to go that way!!" Very fun game, great job!

Developer

Thank you!! The feeling of "oh no I wanted to go that way" is really a feeling I wanted people to have so I am happy if it worked :) But I think my tuto was maybe not clear enough, I'll correct it after vote_time ;) I'll try your game asap :)

Thank you for that WARNING, took a stroll around the house, closed all the windows and was ready to make eggs, but then the cheery music started, so I am now hungry while typing this.

Instead of breaking egg shells, I started on some red walls; instead of turning the pan around the fire, I was skating around a polygonal island.

Great game! I am envious of people like you, that not only make an amazing game, but have a well fleshed tutorial, and expand on their mechanics deeply.

I was exactly the same last month XD If you are not comfortable with godot yet, don't be too hard with yourself, make another jam next month and you'll learn more quickly than you think :) Or add it to your game when the vote is ended. It's what I did last jam.

Thank you for your response, it's great if you had a good time playing! I wanted players to have fun so if it's fun for you I'm happy :)

Last jam I had time and there was 57 entries, so I tried every game. This week i don't have as much time and there is just too much games; but as you sent me something i'll try yours first ;) But this month theme/wildcards felt a lot more fun than previous month. I think this is the reason for so many entries in comparison to last month.

EDIT: hey but you were also here last wild jam! You made the phoenix game with cool colors! I made the rythm pong game, if you remember! I can't wait to see your game ;)

oh wow! Thanks for mentioning, I would have missed checking it again! You've out done yourself (level1: revisiting the project. level2: this new game)

I have to say, those bulky drawings were amazing on the Shuffle Dance-Board, very distinct and unique style, and now you went with slick and geometric designs, I would have never guessed. Well done! And thanks for the encouraging comments!

WARNING :

It seems godot has some trouble with exporting 3D games in html5. Or maybe it's itch.io. Just wait a one or two minutes when the game starts and when you load your first level, mute the page if you don't like this horrible sound, and don't panic, it should be working fine :) Else you can get the windows/mac/linux versions or the godot-project that I uploaded on this page ;) Enjoy!

It crashes when I try to play it

Developer (1 edit)

Does the Menu load? If the game crashes when you try to launch a level or the tutorial, it is not a crash but a loading screen. Try to wait a few minutes, if the game still don't work, give me more infos about your OS and internet browser so I can see what I can do :)

Edit: I made 3d load on menu, so now it doesnt take so much time to start a level but you have a black screen and a strange sound when the game starts. Just wait, it's not crashing, just loading ;)
