How does the game fit the theme?
You are a cookie merchant in the space and have to trade other planets to be able to upgrade your ship and planet, so you can transfer more cookies through the galaxy.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
There are links in the project description for the used assets which we haven't done ourselves.

Some sound ideas, but the player controller could have used some refinement in order to make the flying around a little less awkward.
Really cool take on Asteroids! The turning controls were a little difficult use at first, but it was fun using the ship's inertia to drift around through space. I also think that including a minimap or having an indicator point towards nearby planets would be useful since it was a bit difficult to find new planets to trade with. Other than that, I liked the trading and upgrade mechanics. Great job!
To me, this game is great in all of the criterias!
Just one less star for the gameplay because I wish the controls were a little bit less sensitive, since it was very frustrating that with each little A or D button push, my ship could do a 360 rotation lol.
It was a good game. I understood the challenge and strategy of the game design and I liked it, but the controls were a bit difficult in the game itself. It would have been better if there were a sign to show other planets that we could trade with so that we wouldn’t get lost in space, but it was a good game for seven days.
I enjoyed playing this one , good job
Movement took a bit to get used too. Fun though collecting and exchanging for power-ups. Just enjoyable upgrading planet / ship. Good entry!
This is so cool. I love inertia based games. I liked the idea of trading cookies for gold and upgrading things using gold. The enemies and their behavior as well as the asteroids felt fairly balanced and did not overwhelm me. I also liked that stars twinkled - a subtle detail but still a great addition. A few changes I would recommend are making it so you would lose armor upon touching planets, making the player rotation a bit more rigid and less of inertia, but letting the ship keep moving in space instead of eventually stopping it. If you like games set in space where inertia and gravity play a significant role, check out my games Zodiac Ranger, Zodiac Ranger HSS, Zodiac Ranger 3, and Who Opened the Hatch? Also please check out my submission to the jam. It would mean a lot.
Fun game, cookies look great, sound is pretty good and it is pretty clear what you need to do. I think the controls are a bit hard to get used to. Other than that it almost feel like a tycoon game :D
Love the implementation of the theme, but I think the movement would’ve been better if there was no inertia when changing the directions, like for example when you’re turning left/righ, you’ll overshoot your destination, and standing still doesn’t help either, it feels like your ship shouldn’t have physics component, and it would have been much smoother :D Overall the game is relatively easy, which for a jam game I think is supposed to, and maybe having to protect the “cookie producers” would have been more fun…
Love when I can play games with upgrades that produce more resources, the movement was hard at first but then I got used to. thank you!
I like the general gameplay loop y'all made with this! It was fun upgrading your planet it and ship so you can venture further out and find better exchange rates. going from 1 cookie = 1 gold to finding a planet that was 1 cookie = 5 gold felt really rewarding! I had a lot of fun with this and didn't want to stop playing.
My main points of feedback are that the controls took a little bit to get used to, and I didn't feel too threatened by the other ships and Asteroids, so it felt like I could keep going forever. I got to difficulty level 9 before calling it there.
Overall y'all did a nice job and I'd be interested in seeing y'all polish this further or future projects of yours in general! Hope y'all had a fun jam :D
well done! the sfx and visuals were super satisfying!
Such a nice game! I had a lot of fun! :)
Great game!
A nice asteroid game, definitely feels like it with those hard controls in space!
I'm glad the planet didn't had a health cause dayum it be destroyed by now. I would have loved some sort of indications where other planets are like a lilttle map (But I read on the page you would done more with more time).
Overal being two programmers you made a nice looking game, evrything fitted well togheter! Well done!
Thank you for the kind words and your time! :)
A great game! At first, my wish was that there were an engine update that would make the ship handling and maneuvering better. However after a couple of more minutes playing, that struggling with controls began to feel like a part of the gamme. And it kept me engaged despite it; that was cool. Exploring arround in the empty space was exciting.
Easy to learn and hard to master! Thank you for your time and comment! :)
I love a classic Space Invaders inspired game, and this is definitely i. However there where a couple issues,
Overall great job
Thank you! :)
If you like games like Space invaders you will most certainly like this game
Combining space trading with a classic arcade experience is very compelling. Great work!
I do like the concept of space trading. And it's very funny that the resource being traded is cookie. I do wanna point out that the map is huge and it is quite difficult to avoid incoming asteroids while blasting at full speed. And it would probably be helpful to add some visual cues, or even just landmarks, to help player find other planets.
Thank you for the review! I will take it into consideration for the next game :)
