Congrets!!! a really great game with potential, i just wonder how the purple leaf scale ur power? it double it? idk

Developer

I've been tweaking the numbers in each build so I don't remember the exact numbers and it also varies for each type of buff (purple leaves can be for melee, ranged or knockback buffs, we'll likely do more icons to help differentiate)

for melee I believe its +0.4x dmg per activation, so if the purple leaf plays twice, for example, your melee attacks will be doing 180% their normal damage

overall I'd say theyre very core for a good build

A great game to play and need strategic play but I played it by putting the leaves where I feel :D
Great work!

Really fun and addictive game,  looking forward to seeing it on Steam!

Really cool idea. I love building the attack loops and the art style is lovely!

Your Average rank is #2 in GMTK 2025! Congrats!

I felt bad that there is no average score, because some teams aimed for all categories, not just one. So I just scrapped the results page and made a table. I agree with Mark that "Overall" is questionable, but I still think "Average" is a valuable score, so I decided to share it.

Developer(+1)

Super cool list! Thanks for sharing it. Its still hard to believe how  well in this jam. Shinsei project definitely deserves the top spot its such a great game!

btw I played your game early in voting and I really liked it!

That's some suspicious voting results. Congrats though if it's not.

If there was an overall this year it would probably be the winner. I think it's quite deserved too. It's well made.

DEV UPDATE:

Play 2.0 for a rebalanced version (more challenging!)

(+1)

Am I doing something wrong? All the baddies just walk themselves off the edge!

Developer

Will investigate it

Submitted

I'm having the same problem.

Developer

I added more failsafes to the enemy's movement and it should be fixed in the latest version

Submitted

Its not fixed. They just move at a constant pace, in the same direction,  (sometimes rolling in a random direction) then fall off. I'm on linux running through wine.

Developer

Try version 2.3, we managed to debug on laptops and it worked on our end, I'm not sure if linux is fully fixed too but it should be. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Submitted

hey Ayayun Team, thanks for providing an update and a linux build.

would you mind tagging the versions with the proper OS tag? only that way the itch app is willing to install it directly. thx

Developer

Thanks for the heads up! Just tagged them, hope its all working properly now

Submitted(+1)

works like a charm, thx again.

Developer(+4)

HEY ALL DEV HERE: I'll probably release a balance patch soon so the game feels a bit more challenging now that the jam is over!

Really fun mechanics and super easy to get into! The whole experience was so smooth and immersive, I ended up playing for ages — couldn’t put it down!

And here is our game. Welcome to give it a try!

I really think you guys hit something here - I usually don't like games where you "program" your moves, but here it really works well. If I was smart I would probably counter the enemies move etc, but it was nice just to upgrade and optimize my build

I do think the game is too easy, and I assume there's no ending or further development? But still a very solid entry, and I liked the chill forest vibes!

Absolutely loved this game! 🍄

I played Mycelium Mayhem and was genuinely impressed by how original and thoughtfully designed it is. The game’s visuals are excellent,  not only are they adorable and polished, but the art direction really fits the vibe: fun, lighthearted, and yet surprisingly strategic. The characters, animations, and environments all have a unique charm that makes you want to keep playing.

What stood out to me the most, though, was the looping ability system. The way you organize your actions into an 8-step cycle adds a super interesting tactical layer. You get to choose where each ability is placed in the loop, and that completely changes how your character behaves. For example, placing a dash on step 1 and an attack on step 2 means your character will dash forward and immediately strike, and then repeat that pattern in every loop.

Even better, you can see the sequence of actions of your enemies, which adds another layer of strategy. It encourages you to adapt your loop, predict enemy movement, and think ahead. This shows how much the developers considered player agency and tactical planning.

This is a very well-crafted and clever little game. It’s not just cute, it’s mechanically smart and genuinely fun to play. Huge congrats to the devs! Love it!

random dev of a different game here, but this review is awesome! have a great life

Amazing game! It works well and it's so addictive to play! This concept is also very unique and i can see a full fledged game using it in even more creative ways.

Nice concept. I found the controls slightly confusing. My character was moving automatically to a certain extent as well. Great sounds, music and visuals!
