Very cool idea, it's something that I imagined would only result in a couple of levels but there's actually a lot of potential with this! Fun puzzles!

This is probably my new favorite game from the jam. I absolutely love the concept, it makes for super interesting puzzles. When sending yourself back in time was introduced, my mind was blown. Well done including a story as well. I'd definitely play more of this.

I love the art, music, puzzles, ambience, everything! It reminds me a lot of Outer Wilds, with the time loop (especially with things happening in the world at specific times), knowledge-based progression, and small puzzles. Easily 5/5 stars.

Edit: I forgot to ask, are there multiple endings?

Straightforward, fun, and really aesthetically put-together. Great job!

I absolutely love the music and art. The gameplay reminds me a bit of another game I played called Solevoin. Very cool.

Really cool idea. I love building the attack loops and the art style is lovely!

It's fun and silly, but I don't know how it got #3 in enjoyment, especially with only 13 ratings. Like I did enjoy it, but more than 9600 other games?

Very very cool. Looping edges of the screen has been done before but I love this spin on it, where you get to move the loop around!

It fits the loop theme because your own timeline travels forward, backward, and forward again, looping on itself. The controls are pretty standard for fantasy consoles like Pico-8/Picotron and even modern platformers like Celeste iirc. Still, I'll release a polished version soon with multiple control schemes available. Glad you liked it :)

Thank you all for the kind comments and feedback, I really appreciate it. I'm glad most people enjoy the puzzles and mechanics even if the difficulty curve is kind of a spike lol. This being a jam game, I didn't have much time to playtest and didn't get a good idea of how easy the time inversion mechanic might be to grasp for beginners.

I'd love to make an extended version of this game someday, which would definitely include a longer and more in-depth tutorial, along with QoL features (perhaps the ability to crouch to signal to yourself when you're about to move, or a trail that traces the clone's path). And, of course, different input methods for those that prefer WASD, controller, or something else. A walkthrough video will also likely come soon.

I'll be away for the week so I won't be able to reply to comments during that time, but I'm excited to read more when I get back. I'm glad people are liking my game and I hope to return to it to improve it based on feedback <3

It's a pretty typical input mapping for PICO-8 and Picotron. With Picotron it could technically be any key but this is what I'm used to. For the full release I'll have a WASD/Space mode or something like that.

Picotron is awesome! It's new so it's a little buggy and I'm still getting used to it, but a fun place to develop games. I need to play Braid someday. Glad you liked it!

Well. The last demon did in fact spawn on the roof (I guess it wasn't necessarily the last one, just the last one I got to, because, y'know, it was on the roof lol). Of course I managed to get up there too after a little bit of trial and error.

Is the last demon supposed to spawn on the roof? I beat the game and I found the secret :)

I love it! The idea and execution were excellent and the graphics fit really well. It's a super unique interpretation of the theme too. Creating loops can feel a bit inconsistent at first, but you get better at it over time.

Very cute and creative idea, and the effects are quite satisfying! I wish this is what the news looked like in real life lol

Good to know, I didn't realize there were combos :)

I'm having issues with lag, about 1 frame every other second lol. Is it just the web build? I'll try it on another browser too (using Chrome with Windows 10).

Cool idea, I like sokoban puzzles. As others have said, the perspective can be a bit confusing.

Creative idea! I'm pretty terrible at it but I had fun :)

I like the art style! The puzzles aren't too hard which makes it a pleasant experience. I only wish I had more control over the camera rather than 90-degree increments.

Simple but fun, feels like a Minecraft elytra minigame. Took me a second to figure out the controls but after that I quickly got the hang of it. I got a high score of 16100 (I guess that's probably the maximum because I got them all). I think a third-person mode could work well to assist in aiming.

Very fun! I like the gray and red color scheme, and the bullet time ability is pretty cool.

Can you elaborate on "lining up the character"? Do you mean moving in sync with past clones? What kind of visual aide do you think would help? You can already see the other versions moving, unless I'm misunderstanding.

This is sick! Time manipulation is one of the coolest game mechanics and your game does it pretty well. I like how you used "scale" to mean scaling time rather than a physical dimension. I got around 6:30.00.

This is insane. It's on the level of a fully finished commercial game. I do wish the javelin pushed the player around a bit less, though. But every other thing in this game has such a high level of polish. The backgrounds in particular add so much atmosphere.

The vibes are amazing! I really like the music (the reason I played this in the first place). The controls took a second to get used to but I got the hang of them pretty fast. The puzzles and difficulty curve seemed well designed too.
