How does your game fit the theme?
This game is about a time loop! The main character has to fight a boss battle, over and over, until they decide to end the time loop and fight the boss for real.

As others pointed out I also liked the boss fight and how its moves are telegraphed! Also like the dialogue in the beginning and the sprites of the characters! Well done!

I really like what you made here! It's a super clean bossfight, with well telegraphed attacks!

I did manage to cheese it at the end by jumping and attacking down a bunch of times °^^

I really loved the sounds you used for the different characters that was super charming!

Such a great idea, and I really like the art design, reminds me of Wandersong. The little chats between characters at the start of the loop was lovely as well, I just wish the fighting didn't feel so "floaty", might just be me having to get used to it, I think I'll try it with a controller at some point, again very impressed you managed to get so much done as a solo developer!

This is very cool ive been trying to beat it for like an hour now with no luck, I just feel like the deflective is a little too precise? there are also certain situations like me trying to deflect as soon as a bullet spawns but it doesnt work tho I feel like it should? Idk I think this game could use some uhh assist to the player, its quite hard to get into the controls at this stage but other than that

story is fun and cute really love it! very very nice art and sound design, i dont mean anything bad by the criticism its just i really liked this one i want to see it improved further, great job on this entry :D

Great work on the game!! I love that the dialogue changes with each trial, it adds variety and keeps things interesting, despite the fight being looped!

i really liked the idea of this game and would love to enjoy it but the controls are killing me. the attack feels not controlable enough for my taste i could kill him easy with smacking back the projectiles if there was no timeout but close combat feels horrible to me. skill issue i guess. other than that i think it has some great potential the whole loop storyline is awesome and the dialoge is well written. arts are also very nice and i liked the boss attack pacing.

Developer

Thank you thank you for the feedback! It was a [decision?] to make it more melee focused, but I totally see a point to making other ways to win effectively. (Maybe making reflects deal double damage? After the jam is over I might do that!) Thanks for playing! :)

I enjoyed the gameplay and the audio in general. The knight's "voice" is a bit annoying to me though lol, the mage's "voice" is ok. The boss attack designs aren't bad either.

Although I know the dialogue is part of the interpretation for the theme, I think it's a little bit too much hand-holding. Those things could be figured out naturally as the game goes on, or in a normal game, it would be introduced naturally as the player progress instead of throwing them straight into the final boss fight lol. But yeah, I think this was a case of the game suffers from its strong tie to the theme, rather than the theme adding to it.

Great game! I really like the stakes of trying to fight for real, such a cool idea. The dialogue is great too, it really brings the game together and does a great job introducing the mechanics. Great artwork and sounds. Good job!

Cute game, but please, fix the audio. Sometimes it can become noisy.

Fun experience, your mage is a "loop mage"  and looks like my mage from "Loopmage", I think our games are connected xD

Developer

Ok, now I have to play your game!

Very good, I really like the idea that you can train until you get good to fight the boss one last time.
