Simple and fun!! Good work!!!

Love the artistic direction/the idea of the game!! Very cute, thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Love this game so much it was so sweet 🥹 The narrative, the artistic direction and the music were all so perfect... 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

Such a silly little game LOL good job on it! XD

Great work on the game!! I was confused what I was doing at first but got the hang of it after a couple tries. Did not feel the need to shoot for most of the game though, as I was just dodging around sharks and fishing. Maybe there can be more incentive as to why the player should use it!

Thanks for playing!! Glad you had fun with our game :D

Thanks for playing!! Glad you liked it :D

Pretty cool concept!! Hard to master for sure but I was really invested for a while even though I sucked at using the dash mechanic. I do wanna mention it was slightly tiresome waiting for the ability loop to move to the mechanic I wanted to use at that moment, maybe instead of the purple orb, you can have some orb that lets you fast-forward to the next mechanic?

Thank you ApeEscape3Fan4Ever!!!!! We hope to create new exciting games again in the future!!!!!!!!!! Stay tuned 👉👉👉

Thanks for playing our game!! I get how looping around can get clunky at certain moments, we'll take your feedback into account when we go back to refine our game!! Also great suggestion with the arrows -- funny thing is, we already had a way to easily move the arrows further away from the player, but all collectively forgot about changing it once it was implemented 💀 This is definitely something we'll get around to fixing!

I liked the way you introduced each mechanic one by one so that the players weren't confused at any part of the process. Cool game!!! Enjoyed playing it.

Thank you!! I'm glad you noticed that the menu was interactable/had some time to play around with it :D Thanks so much for downloading to give the music a listen as well!!!

Great job on the game! Straightforward mechanics/controls which were not hard to learn, meaning I got to have fun with the game straight from the beginning!!

Thank you for playing!!! 1k is great!! It's so interesting to hear about what score other people ended up with :D

So creative!!!!!! I loved all the puzzle designs and the way you used the theme loop. The tutorials were so well polished too which I'm honestly so impressed about. There was no point in the game where I was left confused. Amazing amazing job.

Thanks for playing!!! That is the highest score we've seen in the review section up until now!! Great job!
Also wow, can’t believe we weren’t the only ones struggling with the audio + WebGL issues 😭 Good to know someone else can relate to the pain LOL. Seriously though, thank you so much for taking the time to download the Windows version!!

The game feels sooo polished!!! I did find the game got too easy at a certain point, my score was getting really really high without me having to be strategic about my items at all. But other than that, I had no issues and the game felt great! Very worth it to download the Windows version for the music + sfx. Overall, amazing job!!!

Oooh good point, I  think we will have to test out multiple things, including adding colliders on branches, but also maybe just visually blurring or muting the colours of the branches a bit, so players don't feel that they should be interactable. Great observations, and we'll definitely circle (haha) back to this when we refine things!

We also did receive similar feedback regarding the hazardous ladybugs. In the game's current state, they can feel kind of unavoidable when you're going really fast, which at times, can ruin the fun. Players want to zoom around at full speed, buit then think, "Wait why not just use the jetpack since it's safer?" So yeah, we'll need to tweak the level design a bit and make sure the challenge feels satisfying and fair. Your point about camera work helping with that is also a great suggestion.

Also agree with the radial dial idea! It could really help (just have to play around with the UI a bit so it doesn't get too crowded_.

Thanks for all the suggestions and spending the time to reply!! We'll gather together all the feedback we are getting through this review page (+ some more) and hopefully make the game feel better in the future!!

Ohhh those are some great ideas, they’d definitely add more dimensionality to our game! I’m saving this comment to look back on when we refine things. Thanks so much for the reply :D

Great job on the game! I was really invested in it for a while, despite it being 3AM here LOL!! A health bar for the player could have been really useful, but otherwise, the UI/controls felt pretty natural and comfortable.

Oooh, thank you for the feedback! We’re super grateful for all the playtesting we’re getting. It’s really helping us figure out what to refine, and level difficulty is definitely on our list. Adding different enemies as the game progresses could be really interesting!!

We originally wanted players to feel more inclined to use the web slinging to build up momentum/speed, but we’ve also heard from others that they leaned toward using the thrust more since it felt more consistent. Do you think you'd be more incentivized to swing on the yellow bugs for momentum/speed boosts if it meant it also gave you more points or contributed to a higher score?

Thanks again for playing!

Hahaha sometimes I'd also forget the whole point was to catch the green bugs... I’d get so caught up trying to loop around everything else to build up as much speed and momentum as I could, so I really relate to this!! Thank you for playing and taking the time to review!!

Thanks so much!! We’ll definitely take more time to refine the control/precision in the future. Appreciate you taking the time to play!

Thanks so much for playing!! Happy you thought the visual presentation was good :D Totally get that the controls take a bit of time to get used to. I'm glad you were able to get the hang of it!! I'd say 1000+ points is really good!!

WOW. Loved the aesthetic, the idea, the music... So simple yet so refined... 🥹 As someone who used to enjoy 2048 while commuting years back, this brought back such good memories. Great work on the game!!! It is really really my cup of tea.

Thanks for playing!! Glad you thought so :D

Really interesting and fresh take on the theme! I was a bit confused at first about how I was progressing to the next level, but after rereading the description, it all made more sense to me. Feel like this game could end up being really neat with a little more polishing! Great job!!

Wowowow great work on the game and level design FOR REAL!! Super impressed :D I am a fan of this concept, the atmosphere is great, and the music/sound effects really add to it.
This is definitely just me, but I kept squinting even though I knew it wouldn’t help me see better LMAO. That limited visibility really does crank up the difficulty!

Now whose french friend is this... 🤔Please invest in our game when you become a "milliardaire" 🙇‍♀️

So happy to hear you had fun playing our game!! Glad we could bring your spiders-with-a-jetpack curiosity to life.. (it was always mine too 😆)! Really appreciate you taking the time to download the Windows/MacOS version to hear the audio. Thank you so much for playing!

Happy to hear you liked it! Thanks :D

HAHA glad you had fun yeeting yourself across the map!! Thanks for playing!! :D

Pretty creative idea using the theme of loops!! Great job!! Personally cannot multitask so the game was a challenge for me for sure, especially in the beginning when I wasn't too used to the controls...😭 I'd start crossing the road and forget to look on my right side... then I'd look on the right side and forget to cross the road...

HELL YEAHHH!! Thanks for the long thoughtful review. We really really appreciate it, and we’re definitely saving this for when we go back to polish and refine the game.

For sure, I also agree that we didn’t have the most time to test out different indicators or UI elements since we got caught up fixing bugs, tweaking movement, improving the rope physics, and refining level design. So it means a lot that you’re playtesting and giving us such helpful feedback since it really helps us figure out what to focus on next. A better tutorial and more intuitive UI/scoring system/investigating the screen tearing will definitely be on the list!

So funny you mentioned the branches and the lack of colliders on them because one of the other devs and I were going back and forth about why it should have colliders and why it shouldn't (I was on the side for no colliders...). He's going to laugh when he sees your comment because you've officially proven his point... I'll admit, perhaps colliders would've made more sense.

Great idea with having the boundaries be bouncy, we'll take this into account for sure! I don't want to make you feel pressured to reply again, so only if you have the time, I did have a couple questions: for the ladybugs, do you think the game would feel more balanced with branch colliders but without hazardous bugs? Also what do you think about bouncy branches as well instead of hard colliders? I'm curious about how that might shift the experience, definitely something to playtest.

Also great point on the yellow bugs! This also brings me to a follow-up question, if they gave extra points for swinging on them, do you think you'd be more inclined to use them strategically rather than rely on the jetpack the entire time?

Again, thanks for the amazing feedback. It means a lot!

Ah I'm glad you eventually got it/had fun with it!! Yess our art team worked really hard 💪 Happy to hear you liked it. Thanks for playing!!

Awesome job on the game!! Super creative idea/level designs. Really hope you continue working on the game, would love to see how this game grows!! :D

1820 is pretty good,  I think I ended up with a similar high score LOL! It's super interesting to hear what scores everyone got. Something to keep in mind for adjusting the level difficulty in the future! Thanks for playing :D

Woahh really polished game given the limited time! Great job!! I can totally see how this could get really addicting. I did run into a small bug though: after dying and seeing the game over screen, going back to the main menu and hitting play didn’t work. I had to press restart instead to get it working again. Otherwise amazing job!

Thanks for playing!! Glad to hear you thought it was a creative use of the theme. We'll definitely take note of your feedback to improve the game in the future. Thanks!!

Really creative idea using the theme of loops!!! Loved the sound effects and art as well. Great job!
