Cool game, hard to control with a keyboard. I like that I get more time when I pickup the various parts of the time machine. It did take me a second to realize E not F, so only suggestion is to move the interaction letter up a pixel or two
The art style is really cool and I really enjoyed the different music in the different zones. The time for each loop did feel a bit difficult, it took me a few tries to get some things done which was a little frustrating. I'm also surprised with how much stuff is in the game, really impressive!
I love the sound design of this game and the visuals. The CRT effect brings me way back. The idea is very nice, I like that there are a lot of characters to talk to and explore. At the moment, I find the time constraint a bit too tight.
Btw, I had no chance of reading the text at the beginning of the game. It disappears too quickly, and with the CRT effects, it is a bit more challenging to read quickly.
Really nice game! I loved the art style and the gameplay was intuitive! Good job!
Great game! I really enjoyed the mood and the atmosphere. The idea is great - feels a bit like Minit. 30 seconds feels a bit harsh, though...
LOVED the art! Honestly a really simplistic game but really got the theme across well. Good job.
Each zone has its own motif! Sometimes I too feel like a pointless NPC recently born out of moss, but then I remember that every day is a time loop for me to grow and change, adapt my strategies. What a cool one!
Hey I finally found another game about collecting stuff within a loop time limit. The npc dialogue is fun. Great work. Expansive metroidvania!
Wow, incredible design! Reminds me very much of Minit or Outer Wilds.
awesome game! I love the tone and atmosphere, the world feels very mysterious and intriguing despite the small scale
I love all the little guys you talk to and the minimalist sound design. I feel like this would have had a huge impact on me if I played it when I was 12 years old
I do think a game is incomplete if it doesn't have any quirky little guys to talk to, so I have to shoutout the artists and writers for making the characters what they are in the little time they had, and I also have to shoutout beepbox.co for being the site most of the tracks were made in. It's one of my dreams to make games that impact people, and to hear that on what is essentially my first project is an honour. Thank you! - STEVE
Nice game! Loved the little characters and the art style.
Thank you very much! I really have to shoutout the artists on the team, they did a great job with the palette and spritework, especially when for some of them it was their first time doing something like this. - STEVE
Nice exploration game !
Thank you! While we weren't able to get as much of an exploratory vibe as we intended, I'm glad some of that still shines through! - STEVE
This is wild considering how much you did with the limited time. The game looks great with a really strong vibe. I can't get over that you've managed to dialog and what not into this, really solid game!
Not to toot our own horn here but we did also start the jam a day late, so we could've probably gotten an even stronger vibe if we had that extra time. Although maybe that would've also lead to too much scope creep. Either way, thank you very much for the kind words! - STEVE
The presentation is so gorgeous, I'm jealous! Well done :D
Go raibh maith agat, d'oibríomar an dream againn go an-crua ar sé. Tá sona orm go bhfuil breá leat an cluichí.
Thanks, our team worked very hard on it. I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
Very impressive that you made all of this within the jam! Well done.
Glad you liked it. We actually finished it in only 4 days lol since we started late (¬‿¬ ).
Very cool little game, the screen filter adds a lot to the vibe and I like the puzzle elements of working out where to use each item you find. The platforming could do with some polish but overall good submission - well done!
Oh yeah, I was worried the screen filter might be a bit overwhelming (some text could still be made clearer, I think) but overall it really completed the vibe of the game. Thank you very much for the feedback! For the platforming, learning how to implement coyote time and dashes from falling is definitely a priority. - STEVE
BRILLIANT! You Managed it Really Well. Great.
Thank you very much for the kind words <3 - STEVE
When it was written at the beginning of the game that this was a special Unreal world, I did not attach any importance to this. but it was quickly proved to me by a huge head, which then also began to shout at me!
It seems to me that the starting cycle time should be longer, because even taking into account the increase in parts, you need to restart the entire cycle after one unsuccessful jump. But it VERY CLEARLY conveys the feeling of being stuck in a time loop. I also definitely saw some unfinished locations with big inscriptions on the walls.
Overall, I liked it, but this game really needs polishing.
Hey, I'm glad you liked the writing and ludonarrative, the big head was fun to make. Also, yeah the game could do with some polishing - we do plan on working on an updated version, some of those area's were done only an hour or so before the game was publsihed hehe. Thank you for the input (⁀ᗢ⁀).
I don't think this game is finished yet (please correct me if that's wrong) but despite that, you can see the bones of something really special here. The environment is eerie, the vibe is fully committed to in terms of art style and music, and moving around feels fluid and fun.
I did find using the dash button (spoiler warning since you discover the dash hotkey partway into the game) to be awkward while moving to the right because of how close C is to D and spacebar. I ended up using my right hand just for the C key, which did feel better.
Also, (spoiler warning 2) the pink head was terrifying! Moving through that room I was never sure if it would hang out idly or dive me, but it seemed to choose at random. Possibly a bug but appropriately scary nonetheless.
Overall, a really compelling concept and I'd be excited to play more if you choose to continue development. Nice job!
The game *is* finished, but the final ending puzzle was literally completed in the last hour or two of development so the clarity on what to do isn't great. (SPOILERS) it's reachable after collecting 3 parts, checking the bottom left cave for hints, and then using the knowledge gained from the apple quest. The Pink Head is set to fall asleep after a certain amount of time passes, but extra work could've been put into making this clearer as well. (SPOILERS END)
Thank you very much for the kind words and feedback! We were actually discussing a potential remake, so it's very possible we'll have something in the coming weeks. - STEVE
