The music is super chill! Well done with the game. I had fun playing it.

I love the sound design of this game and the visuals. The CRT effect brings me way back. The idea is very nice, I like that there are a lot of characters to talk to and explore. At the moment, I find the time constraint a bit too tight.

Btw, I had no chance of reading the text at the beginning of the game. It disappears too quickly, and with the CRT effects, it is a bit more challenging to read quickly.

Ah, now I see what the idea might have been! It’s a pity that only the submission page image and its “subtitle” give it away. Many players will miss it. You can use the junctions to disconnect the railway cars from the train, and presumably, they can collect the resources individually.

disconnected cars

In that case, I think it would be better if the resources are automatically generated at the stations at some rate, and the player would mainly concentrate on finding the optimal paths of the railway tracks. Currently, the score only shows who thought about installing an autoclicker. :D

Hey! Your train also goes loop! The visual is nice, and a nice music loop.

However, I feel there is not really any objective in the game, or any need to change the tracks in the junctions.

I also failed at first because I bought other stuff instead of a pig, and then I suddenly needed a pig but I had no money for it.

Amazing game! Genuinely had a great time playing. There are a few things that could be ironed out, but I can imagine this being a full release at some point.

I had mainly 3-4 issues with the game:

  • The sound effects can get a bit annoying at the later stage of the game, especially where there is a ton of animals getting stuck in the mud.
  • When using the broom to remove an obstacle that is spawned near or on top of some placed item (plank/boost…), the item is automatically grabbed when the obstacle is removed. Very annoying and pace-breaking in the later stages when there are a lot of things around the loop.
  • Although this might have been a design choice, I found it a bit weird that the assignment timer keeps going when placing items.
  • It is a bit tricky to place items when there are a lot of animals in the loop, and they keep getting stuck at the part where you’re trying to place the item.

Very cool game and quite sophisticated for a jam. I am missing some level selection because I got stuck in level 3, like 2-3 times, and had to restart the whole game.

For some reason, the first time I got to level 3, I wasn’t able to build anything. The second time I got to level 3, I was able to build, so I outlined an initial shape of my roller coaster first, but one of the red points got created inside of the already existing (initial) track, and I was unable to interact with it (could not move it or delete it). Therefore, I was stuck and could not progress. After pressing the bin button, my build got deleted (as I was expecting), but then I was unable to start building again, so I had to restart the game once more.

Thanks for playing and enjoying the game! :)

Wow! Haven’t seen anyone have this many resources before. That must have taken a while, or you must have had an OP train build at some point. 10 million ponies under the hood is wild.

Thanks for trying out the game :)

I’m scratching my head about what the objective is.

Get it? Scratching..?

Very well made, nice job! The engine sound effect could use some polish as it is clipping a bit, and the game could use some music as well. The turn radius is a bit wide, maybe at lower speeds, it could be tighter.

I like graphs, so this was an enjoyable game for me. A tutorial is nice to have (although not covering all nodes), the visual and sound design are simple yet satisfying.

It is harder to grab and move nodes that are connected. It seems that the edge (running under the node sprite to its center presumably) is consuming the mouse click events, preventing the node from registering this input.

There might be some issues with the scoring. Just by removing different edges and adding them back, I am able to get an additional score even though the graph does not change in the end. Here’s an example of level 1, where I was able to get 500 points: image.png

The Done button does not work for me on levels 2 and 3 for some reason. Didn’t try more levels because the tutorial is not skippable.

Playing the web version BTW.

Thanks for playing the game and for the feedback. :) The camera is not ideal at the moment, and what you have proposed sounds like it would work nicely. Our idea was also to allow switching between the following and the free camera.

image.png Here’s an image. I play on a QHD screen, but I also tried FHD resolution and had a similar problem.

Phenomenal. Had fun playing all the way through.

I’ll even ignore the loading times inspired by GTA Online.

Nice game, a bit difficult in the beginning, but gets easier once the circle is bigger. Then it scales nicely in difficulty. Had fun playing for a while. :) Good job

Nice little game, well done.

The viewport of the game is not scaling correctly, I guess. I can see outside of the intended area, and I can see the next background and objects being instantiated.

The game looks amazing, has a very interesting plot, and the sound design is great. However, it seems a bit buggy to me, unfortunately. I had some trouble with the UI twice. Maybe the web build has some issues when going in and out of fullscreen?

The most annoying thing for me was the fast camera movement - maybe it is not scaled with delta time, and it’s blazing around on beefier computers?

Still, I think this will do very well in the jam, well done! :)

Wow, this might be even ready for a Steam Release soon. This will rightfully score high in this jam, well done! :)

I love the word play in the title.

Thanks for playing! In fact, it was the first time I tried 3D in Godot, and the first time Kateje used Godot at all. So it was quite a challenge.

I also like to build a long train! My computer starts complaining at some point, though. :D

Next, try going 2000km/h around the track.

The idea was there, but we didn’t manage to balance the economy too well. :D

Thanks for playing!

Once the train breaks the sound barrier, the train tracks become more of a suggestion for the train on where to go. :D

Hope you’ve seen the railway carts drifting through the turns at that speed already.

Great work, guys! I really enjoyed playing this for a while. The art style is great, and I love how the menu is implemented.

The initial part (around 9 loops), when you only play a single track at a time, is a bit too long and gets boring until it ends. Then, when multiple tracks are introduced, it is fun for a few minutes until the soundtracks get too repetitive.

Thanks for the hint! Went back and grinded some more. The ending was also very challenging. I used one Froot Loop as a base to jump over the… is it a potato? I couldn’t figure out any solution to that, but then one lucky jump got me over it as well.

514 seconds final time.

Wow, very well done! I really enjoyed playing this, and it is a complete and polished experience! Gread Job :)

Nice art and sound design! The beginning is a bit challenging at first.

Is the second sugar cube the end, or am I missing something? Being respawned out of nowhere at that point is a bit confusing.

Nice and finished game, well done!

Great job with the game. Pretty fun for a while. :)

Very enjoyable sound design and very nice art style. The platforming could use a bit more polish, perhaps, but overall a good game! Well done!

I love the art style and the initial cutscene (although unskippable). :) It is a bit hard to gauge how far the grappling hook reaches. Once the dot turns green, there is usually very little time to react.

Interesting idea and fun for a few minutes. It could really benefit from some sound design. At least some music loop.

Funny idea. The text in the beginning is a bit fast to read for me and when replaying the game, it is a bummer that it is not skippable. I also found the platforming a bit too hard at first, and the camera movement is a bit tricky.

Also, don’t smoke, kids!

Congrats on finishing your first jam game! Nice idea and polished gameplay! It could be extended with more intricate dialogs.

It’s a shame you couldn’t spend more time on the game, the idea is pretty interesting, and the gameplay could use a bit more polish. In the level where you can only jump to the sides, it is very hard to get out of the start and out of small spaces.

Sick sound design. I like how you included various “minigames” and different parts of the game have different gameplay mechanics.

Nice and well-polished game! A bit repetitive after a while but fun for a decent while. Had to check it out because it had the same train pack as we have used. Your game is more finished than ours, though. :D

Cool fluid dynamics simulation! It was an interesting experience. It was hard to score though. I was trying to use both jets to score into a particular gate and I was unable to do so for several minutes until I gave up. :(
