The art is adorable, and the music is beautiful! I think it's very interesting to add the velocity when you launch yourself, makes you think a bit before acting. Good stuff, 4.5/5

How does your game fit the theme?
You explore by looping around orbits and launching between them.

Nice game! The gameplay is really solid, the music fits perfectly, and the sound effects for each action are super satisfying. Also, thank you for the bubbles xD. I was worried I’d keep losing after collecting the small stars, but being able to return to the bubble and save them too is such a nice touch!
THIS GAME IS SO CUTE WHAT!! the art is amazing and the music is super chill. amazing ambience i love it sm. the movement feels a little bit off from what the marker tells me but that might just be a me thing. overall super cute challenges and nice design! i love this take on the theme loop!
The tricky part of this game’s movement is that when launching, the launch velocity is just added to your velocity from the orbit. This can, admittedly, be a little unintuitive at first, but I suppose it’s more realistic (kind of? This game isn’t super realistic in general, though). Because of that, the marker is not entirely accurate, because it does not take the orbit into account. For best results, you need to launch off the tangent of the orbit (the line perpendicular to your current position on the circle) - that’ll also give you the most speed!
Regardless, I’m happy to hear you had a good time with the game :)
You actually can adjust the power (it’s based off how long you hold before releasing) - but the whole thing goes by rather quickly, so I can understand missing it. The reason I made it so short in the first place was that I was worried a longer charge time would make the vast majority of the game where you do want max power launches more frustrating, but we can see if we can think of a better solution.
Really enjoyed the style you presented, the calm music, the twinkle effect, the chill art. The game itself was a bit unforgiving, I gave up on trying to get much further because it was incredibly tricky to get the star to jump without running into the next body, or flinging off in space. I think a more soft landing would do a lot for the game- but as it is, I think you've got a pretty unique concept here so I had a good time trying it out. Thanks for sharing! :)
I really loved the controls in this one, having your launch trajectory based on your orbit was a really clever way to utilize the theme. The game was surprisingly really difficult, was actually stuck for a while at the first fork in the road but that gave me the opportunity to get better at the game and learn how to jump from planet to planet. I thought the difficulty progression was pretty good with a lot of fun idea to spice up the gameplay though some sections felt really difficult, though that may be the intention. I came across a bug where after clearing the mechanical cluster of planets and the lower half of the board when I got the first baby star from the melon planet cluster a trail of baby stars appeared and produced at a seemingly infinite amount which I then decided maybe it's best I beat the game now before this gets out of hand so I didn't really get to go through the rest of the game but that's mostly on me. Overall really awesome game y'all!
Sorry about that! I’m aware of that bug, and am working on preparing a patch for it (among other things) for after the jam period ends.
In case you’re curious, the bug appears to be related to how baby Stardrops will return to their original bubble if you die before first bringing them to a checkpoint. If they reach their original location before the screen transition, a new bubble will be created - then, during the screen wipe, additional bubbles are created for any babies that didn’t reach their spawn points in time. The bug seems to happen when you die while on top of one of those original spawn locations; something in that process goes wrong, and the game creates extraneous bubbles. It happens most commonly in area 2 (the tropical/beach-themed one) because the bouncy ball planets have a habit of killing your momentum and stalling you in place. This can crash the game if you get more babies than the normal maximum of 15, but your message suggests you just so happened to avoid that, which is good!
Sorry for the inconvenience, but I’m glad you enjoyed your time with the game :)
I really enjoyed the polish and simplicity of this game. However, the window felt quite small and not being able to resize it slightly detracted from the experience. Adding that option could easily enhance the game. Great job overall!
It's so polished and clever ! Slingshooting yourself around planets to make your way through space is an unique interpretation of the theme. These physics must be a nightmare to implement. Good job in doing so ! The game is hard, I guess my little stardrops will have to wait for someone else to rescue them ^^'
slick, tough-as-nails game that really tests my patience as a player. i love it, even if i can't get much further than the first few stardrops! wonderful graphics, sounds, and the gameplay is very inventive and interestingly puzzly for something like an orbital precision platformer.
great work, dude! cheers!
One of my favourite games this jam <3 Cute style but definitely a hard game, which I can see myself coming back to play more of

This looks and feels super cute and cozy and perfect calm knight in the rain. And then you realize it's actual Finnish Death Metal and rage, The slingshot mechanic is very tight, that plus a lot traps can really get to you. Also smaller levels with slowly ramp up level of difficulties would also help as well. Or make things a bit easier so little StarDrop can go where he is happy.
This music makes me sleepy and this game makes me angry : )
Lovely game, I didn't manage to finish it; but I love the main mechanic of the game. Maybe a longer trajectory line that shows the guide line with relative velocity might help players who suck like me : )
Good job, cheers <3
Absolutely amazing pixel art, some of my favorite this whole jam
However, I found the game a bit too punishing. I think there might need to be a bit more forgiveness for the player and a bit more cheating of the physics to make it feel "right" (even though what you have now is probably more accurate).
All in all very cute and I loved it!
