Art was some of the cutest I've seen and the song was catchy but the gameplay got really hard really fast with having very little time to jump over the spikes, sometimes spawning right infront the duck after a loop.

I loved it while I was playing it though!

I absolutely love unique fishing themed games and this was up there as one of the most unique ones I've ever played! I loved the idea and the implementation of the loop.

My only things is that I felt it was a bit hard to get a good loop going to what felt like being too weak at the start. But after a few upgrades I was really zooming through

Very fun!

I felt like the guessing was more of trying to follow the tracker and what instrument played when though.

Might be a fun game to finish up after the jam and do a full release!

It was cool and probably pretty fun to program but their wasn't much game to it to keep me wanting to beat my highscore

Really fun game!

I think the art style is perfect and complements the game play tremendously, but it was pretty incredibly hard (at least for me, maybe a skill issue)

Plays great! I think the idea behind this was fun.

A few things I think could have seriously improved this game:

- Change the swing animation delay to after the swing is completed rather than before, it just ended up making it feel a little weird to start with until I was used to it

- Some basic sound effects would have made this feel a LOT more complete and satisfying

- At least on my setup (4k monitor) there was an issue with the game scaling with my display but the level stayed the same size. It caused the game to slow down a lot because the enemies on the right side of the screen had to walk suuuper far.

But all in all I enjoyed this and played it for quite a while! Good job!

Great twist with the controls on the common idea going on this jam, but the controls made it really hard to get any points.

Thank you for the in depth feedback, I 100% agree. I’ve been brainstorming some ideas to essentially scrap or rework the current goal into something else after the jam is complete! The feedback like this helps me narrow down what could work/wouldn’t <3

(1 edit)

Hmm I wonder if you had some kind of bug because it does definitely give the money when using it. You happen to able to test in the tutorial for me just to sanity test myself?

Thank you for the kind comments though! Glad you had fun

It was definitely ambitious so I can't blame you for having any issues like this🤣

One of the best if not the best game I have played this jam!

I absolutely loved every second this.

Only thing I could honestly suggest is just more particle effects maybe feedback (like camera shake). But even then I feel like if you had more time for it you would have had them.

Amazing job, I hope there is a full release version after the jam.

This was super goofy and fun!

I loved the hecticness that developed over time especially with the feedback the player character, sounds, and music provide

Honestly my only complaint is it destroyed my framerate after a few loops

I really like the art and audio for this game! Also the concept of the loop and it's gameplay mechanics are pretty unique which I enjoyed.

I did find the candle mechanic to be poorly telegraphed and frequently had times where I was unable to remove the ghost even though I could swear it was the same location as I had previously used.

Another suggestion I might have is have the ghosts on tweens to make their movements feel a bit less sporadic.

Other than those I did have a fun time with this game!

Very goofy I loved my time with it!

Super difficult but I feel like that kinda played into the goofyness.

Really reminded me of earlier browser games you'd fight with your friends over in the school lab

I knew there had to be at least one other game like mine! I felt like I was going crazy lol

I checked yours out too and I enjoyed it and left a rating <3

I liked the idea here a lot but I was having issues with the straight belts deleting the luggage. Would you be aware if this was just user error and something I by chance messed up with?

Easily one of my favorites from the game jam!

Really reminds me of LUFTRAUSERS (which if I'm not mistaken also actually came from a jam)

You got a really good gem on your hands and I look forward to seeing extra polish and features added down the line if you stick with it.

I liked this one! Nice short and simple with a good twist on the looping platformer.

Only issue I really had is the looping when using the launchers felt a bit finicky, like I'd frequently find they just wouldn't launch me after looping.

All in all really enjoyed it!

Don't be shy about it!

Honestly I was a little sad when I had ran out shorts to see (I even showed it to my brother). Easily one of my top picks from the ~105 I've rated this jam

No this isn't nit picky at all!

I love the feedback you provided and can definitely be super helpful to try and improve it in the future for a final post jam update!

I really liked this, felt like it had heavy inspirations from Super Hot and Hotline Miami.

My only thing that really made me put it down was the timings for parrying bullets felt very very strict and I couldn't get past the second group with an enemy that shot.

That's good to hear! I'll be sure to check it out when it's updated

Hmm that's a very strange bug just sounds like a weird compiler quirk.

I am curious if it's going to be like a heisenbug where it's there sometimes when you compile and sometimes when you don't

I really liked the art work and gameplay inspired by pizza tower. It's a shame because it seems like I was affect by that over 60hz sadly so I wasn't able to play too much of it :(

Very polished and well put together!

At first I felt like getting speed increases were going to make the ghosts not threats but then I realized how much of a hazard they were going to be the faster you were going, kinda fixing a common issue I've seen with games like this one where basically every ghost just goes the same speed and line.

I really love some pico 8 games! The visuals you managed are very nice particularly that edge effect you made.

The loop making it so you're own threat with the bullets is pretty genius.

My only complaint would be that the loop indicators made it very hard to read what was going on

Really like the idea behind this one!

Especially love that it was made for Pico 8.

I hope you're able to get some more content in it after the jam

Very polished and a surprisingly fresh idea for pong!

But I think some extra particle effects could have added a lot the atheistic

I really liked the idea of this!

It was pretty fun putting together a bigger loop, however I had some issues getting much bigger than the base loop due to the tiles being random

Sounds like I need to issue the great bomb refund

It was a lot of fun to get used to the controls and get consistent with them!

Thanks!

It seems like a very common point of feedback which is crazy to me, definitely not what I would have thought I would have heard when publishing this

Ah that's such a shame to hear, if you do a post jam update that'd be so fun to see

Quite a lot of fun!

Honestly I don't have much to comment on critiquing the gameplay it's self but I think it'd be hilarious if you had it so the planets would react to being close to exploding or getting sucked into the sun

Thank you!

The art was definitely a compromise so thank you for the feedback on that part

Art work was good looking but very easy to get stuck

I figured out you can go to the right and it will spawn an enemy afterwards!

Loved this a lot!

Was super fun to see the chaos unfold your past mistakes pile up.

Personally managed to get to day 9

Super fun idea!

I really really liked the art style (but I might just be very very biased as I love old style graphics)

I was quite addicted to this one, really reminded me of typing on a PS5 or Steamdeck track pad.

Also the touch of multiple gamemodes are is a very nice touch! I did notice a bug with the words mode as it will require one extra word than it says it will
