Played this one on stream and it felt so unique! Loved the loop + learn mechanic, really nice one. Thanks for trying out my own game too!

Very fun and unique concept! I would love to have the option for some kind of UI/visual aid to help me remember what cards have seen, or a way to have more loops. The art is also incredible, and really added a lot to the whole vibe of the game!

Give gameplay speed options please!  I would play the heck out of this, would love to see the "cheats" more varied/stacking and it's the next Balatro for sure!

Like the premise, and the art and sfx are good too. Cool design for the devil. Had fun playing it, nice job!

Nice art! It's a different take on the whole "death loop" that seems to be very popular this jam, so I like it. The game mechanics itself is quite simple, since it's based on Blackjack, a popular game on its own right, but the added cheats system makes it feel fresh. Music is somewhat too chill for the settings. Not bad by any means, but I thought it was a bit uninspired.

On the gameplay itself, I thought it was kinda weird that once you got to a few rounds, when you die, it's game over and you immediately get sent back to the beginning. Seems truly it's hell to try and get to 666 levels, lol

I love your art style! Gameplay wise, its a nice twist on blackjack, especially through the abilites!

Great job :)

Love the concept, but I found the mechanics a bit opaque to someone (like me) who doesn't have any prior knowledge of blackjack, and the cheats felt a bit situational as active items compared to using them as loop-altering builds. The art and music was fantastic though, and the basic idea could be genuinely amazing if the time is taken for it to be fleshed out, but the game is fun regardless.

Carried by artwork, music, polish of interactions and a nice twist on a classic. That's why it pains me to say that I don't agree much with the balancing. I understand this is supposed to be basically unbeatable and I like that, it fits in the context, but I would have liked more repeats even just to experience more of the game before being sent back to the shadow realm that is the main menu. Even better would be a way to buy them.

This is a nitpick, but the instructions go by a lil bit too fast (but at least you had them in-game unlike me lol)

Great artwork, I love the little powerups you can purchase with souls. The premise was very intriguing, overall I really enjoyed this. Good job!

This is incredibly cool!  I could see this being the next balatro or inscryption depending on which way you went with it.  But man, I struggled to understand what was going on initially as not a blackjack player and also because the cheats went by fast.  Proposal: add additional instructions to the itch page?  Also, if you expanded further in-game tooltips above actions that explain what they do would be very helpful. Regardless, love the concept and aesthetic, nicely done!

Demonic blackjack: what a fun concept!

This is a fun concept! I did not make it very far because it was very hard to remember everything, but it was very interesting to play.

The ability to cheat in a blackjack game is incredibly satisfying! The mix of roguelike elements and looping mechanics works really well here.

Super cool game,I loved it!

I think a gambling addict wouldn't be so mad about being forced to gamble for eternity...

I like the loop take on this one, where you are using the information you made to give yourself an advantage within a card game. Although, I think it can be kind of hard to remember everything, especially when you can sometimes just autopilot blackjack, and only really look at the card totals, and not the cards themselves. Because of this, I think it could be nice to show the player things that they should know. Like what cards will be drawn on both sides if they have seen it before. Since this just removes a layer of remembering the player needs to do, (and could do themselves via pen and paper), and focus on how to change the outcome of it.

For a game with eternal gambling, I think that only having 2 resets is quite small. It's definitely one of the more interesting mechanics of the game. Either raising the amount that you have from the start, or making it purchasable with souls would help.

I like the idea of having modifiers to change how your hand is drawn, and I think it would be interesting to keep seeing if there are any other routes you can take for deck modification. Of course, there is the basic +1 -1 to next card drawn and basic number changes, but I think specifically playing with the knowledge you may have of your deck is more interesting. Like a peek a the first card, or make the next drawn card a guaranteed number.

But, if you work in more elements like this, you'd like need to make the devil respond accordingly and make the game harder. And then were getting into roguelike territory, which is a whole other ordeal.

I like the presentation, and the narrative / setting is pretty interesting. Good work!
