This was so fun! I do think that it became way harder at the end with so many things to change, but I love the concept :>

How does your game fit the theme?
The premise is that you have been holding off on writing a novel for a while and now is the very very last minute. 5 minutes. Without any time to spare, you have to just get started and do what you can.

I think this was a pretty fun game, but I think as someone who writes, it was kind of hard for me, since having to keep track of things I'm supposed to add is something I am not used to. Also, Joseph Campbell?
Im not good at typing and english in general but this game is really fun. It would be fun to get on the leaderboard but i don't think thats happening anytime soon.
This was so much fun, the idea, the execution. It is such a great concept and so well implemented in such short period, this is absolute cinema. I want to play this more after polishing.
I felt like Hunter S. Thompson slowly losing his mind while rushing to get his next book done. Haven’t done a writing exercise in some time, so this was a great game to flex the creative muscles!
Felt like a joining a fastfood team in rush hour, but fun! I laugh so hard, I think I will download this game! It is such a great way to make people write, just write. We always think that creating is hard, it is not, we just think to much! Thinking should come after, to fix, to improve, but not before even starting! You already were on my to-play list, but thank you for reviewing my game, or else I might have never tried it, cause I focused the game with only few rating, and I wouldn't may have the time for yours.
Anyway, you show me your creature, I show you my.. uh.. story?
dang that was fun!

Wow, I'm glad you liked it! Yeah, you're right! I thought basically if I give a time limit and a bunch of requests, it should be able to push anyone to write something! You know, a half-finished story written down is better than the perfect story in your head, that kind of thing. Also, thanks a lot for posting your story, it kind of melts my heart a little when people do that.
Incredibly fun, aside from maybe the nephew (okay that's a little hard on him haha, but I really like the writing aspect. I respect the WarioWare style minigames, though). I really love the gameplay loop, it's anxiety inducing and tedious in all the right ways that build up tension and release when you're done. It's borderline addictive, and I find myself wanting to play more. Would love to play a version of this that was just an arcade mode that was a quota of words to meet on set intervals of time, like deadline extensions so long as you've written a set amount of words.
Funnily enough, midway through I was getting really worried the writing would be super tedious and unfun (I mean, it's literally microsoft word) so I started dropping in the minigames like every 30 seconds to paper and plaster over it. Luckily, my brother shook me back to my senses and told me to tweak the writing part a bit and add some stuff. So I'm glad it somehow came through and people are actually engaging with that part more than the minigames! Hmm, the arcade idea sounds interesting. I guess it could be based on bonus words to avoid word spam? Thanks a lot for the feedback!
the idea is simply amazing and execution is great, forcing the player to actually write something and forcing them into creative writting of their own valition is a genius idea and gamefying it couldnt be easy. Tho I do find some of the rules confusing and sometimes receiveng contradicting rules, a more proper tutorial or "pratice mode" would help.
Thanks for the feedback! Actually, if you don't mind me asking, are the rules about the minigames or the writing? I'm curious. I think if we ever add more minigames and expand on this, we will have a sort of gallery to play all of them and obviously some kind of tutorial. Anyways, thanks for playing the game!
Its more on the writting itself, after playing for a bit I got the general hang of it but still two runs I would consider to be around the same level resulted in completely different amounts of points, one being considered really good and the other I got 0, also I may add that this isn't the most friendly game for people who english isn't their first language(like its my case) but that was far outside your reach and the ambition alone makes up for it, just something to keep in mind in the future
Ah ok. Well, I'll have to tweak the grading system some more then! The version on the link at the bottom of the game page does have a few small changes to the grading system, but honestly it's really minor so it's mostly the same. And for the second thing, yeah... Although honestly it should not be too difficult to incorporate other languages with similar characters and grammar if I can just find a word bank and how rare the words are. Well, thanks a lot for the advice!
Really fun, creative and unique game. It was all going well, then I lost the spaceship minigame which is really hard by the way and got banned from using "the" in the story. In the end I had exactly 0 points. :D
Super creative concept for a game! I love word games, so this was right up my alley. I was initially frozen on what to do but with each try, I warmed up and got better at improvising the story and fitting in the wacky editor suggestions.
It was a very unique experience that reminded me of some other WarioWare style entries in this jam, but took a unique spin on the minigames by adding a central game in the writing. Awesome presentation as well, the art and music were great and fit the aesthetic perfectly!
This game has a really nice art aesthetic. It is a creative idea for a game as well. I struggled a bit in the minigames. They did have instructions, but it might be helpful to have an instructions screen when the minigame starts, with the player clicking through to start the minigame. Nice job!
This is a wonderfully addictive game, and a really creative approach on the "Just Get Started" prompt. Nice work on this! It's honestly executed really well! Good ideas + good execution = really fun.
Oooooo love the typing game concept where there are requirements to meet. The mini games out of nowhere made me forget where I left off ahahaa
This is a very original game and it is very well done. I like to think the minigames popping are me just failing to keep concentrated for 5 whole minutes.
Congratulations with this game!
