Really fun, very creative take on the "Get Started" theme. Super chill. Nice music to match the vibe.

"Now you whisper across galaxies"

Really enjoyed it -- I liked the leveling up and getting faster! Nice chill music. Loved the alien gun! One suggestions -- after finishing, it would be nice for the go-kart to automatically get lined up for another run.

Wow! Incredible. This game rocked. Fun penguin band, and exceptionally well implemented "guitar playing" mechanics. I really liked the music too!

I just played your game -- Incredible! If you care to, check out Just Dig It -- https://itch.io/jam/shovel-jam-2025/rate/3670247

Fantastic music and art design to fit the theme of the game. Fun, creative twist on a puzzle game to use the movie setting. Well designed levels that were challenging, but fun. No bugs encountered.

Very creative idea. Become one with the shovel!

Nice art that fits the "Treasure Hunter" aesthetic well. Challenging, but fun. Good puzzles that increase in difficulty in a balanced feeling way. Good hints on what to do without directly telling the player. Really nice to have gameplay state save/persist. I first played the game yesterday and came back today, picking back up where I left off!

Nice visuals and art style. No bugs encountered. I really liked the idea of a "broken wand" that needs to be upgraded. Fairly intuitive controls and nice balance of movement speed, enemy strength, etc. I liked that you used the mouse to aim instead of the direction the player is pointed in (which kept fighting clean). I liked the zone transitions and that you could drawn enemies into a previously cleared zone to ambush them. I thought the wand upgrade was very satisfying.

Parts gathered :2/4 -- Times Died: 8. Nice.

Zapped ted, with one misfire left! Nice play on words for the title. I would be excited to see what happens with Ted once you get him back to the movie set!

Blast off! Nice job. Looks good, nice level. A  few times I got stuck somewhere on the map with 8/9 items and had to restart. Having a "return to start" button that unstuck the player might be helpful.

This game has a really nice art aesthetic. It is a creative idea for a game as well. I struggled a bit in the minigames. They did have instructions, but it might be helpful to have an instructions screen when the minigame starts, with the player clicking through to start the minigame. Nice job!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! The hover-to-mine instead of clicking is a nice idea! I agree that having to click can get a bit tiring. The story idea was a little loose. We had in mind that the player worked for the "old mining company" before he quit after the sadness of his dog dying. As he digs down further, he uncovers a deep mystery/conspiracy about the mine company. We weren't sure exactly what that mystery/conspiracy would be (except that it was somehow tied to his dog getting sick). We also envisioned it having a bit of a metroidvania style, where there would be sections of levels the player had to come back to after leveling/skilling up.

A fun, Metroidvania style game -- where you have to "collect" the basic movements as you go along. The levels are well made to hint at progression without directly telling the user what to do/where to go. Great ambiance, with nicely designed music and graphics. I really like the parallax effect on the background as well.
