Nope - I've completed at least one game jam before.
How does your game fit the theme?
The Necropolis has numerous instances of getting things started. You play as a new employee of Eridani Solutions, an intergalactic tech-start up that lacks any form of viable product. In order to placate their investors, the company has sent their latest employee, who is only just getting started at the company, to salvage a graveyard of ships called the Necropolis. The process of which involves starting up and allocating the emergency power from these ships to help download data from onboard computer terminals.

Incredibly solid game, it's insane how you managed to make all this in the timeframe
The atmosphere of the game was really good. I liked the way it is setup. I kept getting cornered in dead ends, and I only managed to finish the first area, not sure how to get the power online on the yellow area, sadly. I'm not really good at horror games, but it got me tensed up a couple times, which makes it a good horror game!
I think the mouse + escape key is kinda buggy at times, especially on the web build too. Just needed to click a few times in the game to be able to gain back control. Besides that, good job on making the entire thing in 10 days!
love the ambiance, the tight corridors reminds me of a horror doom mod I used to play, adding the timer to the console downloads adds a bit of paranoia "will I be attacked while this goes on" and it is a great way to build tension. the voice and SFX fit really well together, enhancing the whole experience. As a horror game enjoyer, this is a solid game!
The voice acting and the dark ambient in a scifi setting were really well put together. I never expected to see a 3D horror game to be a game for the jam, maybe something like I did with a lot of darkness but never horror. I only wished that there were more details to know where one is so you can be lost at the start but can learn easier the layout to get familiar with the maze, not enough information to learn the map/layout is common in mazed maps. This was a really good job!
Wow definitely the best horror experience I had in this jam! 😱
Most of the time, the drones just kinda sound like William Afton haha, I was actually laughing so much, but them roaming around and me having to gather data and not having the ability to look around whilst doing so was very nerve racking, the map layout was really fun, but I did wish that it was easier to determine where I was or maybe even consider showing the terminal spots on the map when you check it, I know some horror gamer friends who will definitely not be able to understand the map, just a little suggestion!
Overall the vibe and premise was interesting, and D.I.L.L.A.N was great too, love the secret detail if I kept staying in the initially ship room haha, love it when devs to that. Amazing job team! You guys knocked it out of the park with the horror!
I enjoyed it,
I suggested some ideas in the discord, I find it useful.
Good luck with development
The story, art, and sounds build a great atmosphere! I died a couple of times but the game is pretty cool and creepy!
I can't play horror games for long (I get pretty bad anxiety lol) but what I could play was really great! Sound design, nailed the graphics and atmosphere, looks really good! Great work!
Really interesting game! This is the first horror game I've played in a jam I think.
Premise reminds me a lot of Lethal Company, which I love.
You did a really good job on the creepy atmosphere and of course the voice acting. The company vibes are great. It's exactly how I would expect a shady, futuristic, dystopian startup to act.
I kinda got lost, like a lot. I think that's more of me problem though.
I'm not really a fan of horror games, but the sound effects in this one are really well done. Very good presentation and atmosphere!
What a great and polished submission!
You really build great aesthetics combined with suitable ambience sfx and bgm.
Since I'm too bad at the actual gameplay only feedback I have is, that in the main menu control, since the Buttons like Settings still are interactable with, while the Settings menu is opened, I'd stick to pressing Settings to close it again. But... thats probably debatable on personal preference.
Great submission, keep going!
Wow, the voice acting is top notch, and the vibe and the visuals all work really well together to make this one work.
I was too scared to really play through it all but great job nevertheless!
Hello fellow offline chat members! This was.... definitely an experience haha! Definitely get the creepy vibes here and great job with the creativity and presentation! I wasn't able to finish the game sadly, but I tried quite a few times and at least got to a couple of terminals to download the data. Curious how to get to the end as whenever the guys saw me it was pretty much over haha! Got a few jump scares when I just turn the corner and that "Interloper" pops or "Time to Die" voice line pops out haha! Great job all! I definitely want to come back and finish this one! I really hope Shovel gets to play this as it would be a great experience to see!
Hello offline chat! Thanks for playing! It would've been a little easier if we had more time to playtest and to get web saving to work. I've been trying to get Shovel to play but the roulette has not been in my favour.
Aww... I really hope your game gets selected as I think that would be some great fun for us all! Darn you internet outage! lol
Unless I get gifted a youtube membership before the next member's stream, it's all up to chance.
I actually looked into gifting you (and some others) one just because! But it seems YouTube doesn’t let you unless it’s a current live stream?? Unless I am looking at the gifting part wrong? Either way, I’ll be rooting for you!
If only the offline chat was still up...
Okay my laptop might not be the best for playing this but from what I was able to play this was quite an experience! The voice acting surprised me, and the low poly rusty aesthetic kind of reminds me of Iron Lung! I wasn't quite able to finish it as it was going quite slow and my laptop really didn't like me trying to play it, but a lot of god work went into this!
Only small nitpick is what I think was a glitchy noise trying to indicate an enemies' presence only worked sometimes. A few times I think it helped me avoid them but sometimes I opened a door and then enemy was right there with little warning.
Good game, good atmosphere!
great job on the voice acting loved playing thanks
10/10 would get locked in a room with my best friend the drone again
holy I almost fainted when that 'time to die' came out!!
that's one of the best presentations I've ever seen!!
The atmosphere is totally there, and awesome work in the voice acting! I think there were some dialogs here and there that could be a little bit smaller, but overall, GJ!
Super impressive! Putting voice acting into a game jam game is somewhat unusual and impressive, and it fits the game well, although some of the dialogue might've went on a little too long (and slowly).
The map was a little difficult to navigate and it was slightly frustrating to die, especially since it doesn't seem like you can outrun the enemies or evade them in any way once they see you and it's an instant game over when they touch you?
The whole concept is really cool though and I love the Necropolis's personality. Would love to see it expanded.
OMG, this game is so good. I didn't get so far not because the game is bad because once I heard Necropolis I fell out of my chair. This has a lot of potential. I hope you put this on steam.
Thanks for playing! We definitely would love to release this on Steam if we can win some prize money.
Pretty scary, great atmosphere. I could totally see a streamer playing this and freaking out. I really appreciate a 3d game in a jam, it's kind of rare. Your team did an excellent job. Special shout out to the voice acting, lol, it was great.
Thank you so much for playing! I would love to see a streamer playing this, it would mean so much to us. We decided on a 3d game mainly because non of us are particularly great with 2d art and I had experience with 3d. The voice acting was a lot of fun.
