I've never played Overcooked, so it took me a minute to figure it out (I couldn't find the bugs, oops), but then it was quite fun. The movement was smooth, the pace was reasonable, and I loved your main character (kinda looks like my main character, no?).  3D in a jam is always impressive to me, as well. The music was really relaxing and actually made the experience feel really soothing and calming, which I loved. Great job!

The sprites are terrific, I love their cute little head's popping up when they talk (and the sooty face with big eyes after the explosion lol)! I like the concept and how the speed limitation always makes it fit the theme. The music fits really well as well. A really fun, light-hearted experience!

You're so sweet, thank you for liking the art, it means a lot coming from you since your game had such great art. Also, thank you sooo much for commenting on my game, because I was able to finally find yours (I'd been wanting to play it since I saw a snippet of it in the discord).

Fun platforming, very responsive and the ledge-adjust is very forgiving which I definitely needed a few times. I really liked the main character sprite/animations, did you make it yourself? It came out great, if so. The music is perfect for the game and really catchy as well, I think I have it stuck in my head now. I read that you wanted to have the whole world glitch out more and more and I would have loved to see that, I hope you get time to expand on it!

I enjoyed watching this in the stream, I'm glad I got a chance to play it myself. I enjoyed the narration/flavor text/story. The core mechanic is really fun, and it's very satisfying to make progress quickly. The shovel is a little finicky for me, I'm not sure if I was using it wrong, but it slowed the progress down a bit. That's fine though because I know the theme is get started, and every time I had a mini-fall, I was getting back up and getting started again. The whole thing fits the theme extremely well.

Yeah that's a common bug people are dealing with, I'm sorry. It's only present in this build, not the engine, so I'm working on fixing it for after the jam. There shouldn't be any colliders there for it to hit, so it's a mystery! Thank you very much for playing, I'm glad you at least think it's pretty <3

Thank you for playing and giving feedback, I really appreciate it! The combat is a huge weak spot currently (the bug is only in the build, not the engine, so I had no idea until after I uploaded it). I will try to fix it after the jam ends, sorry about that, I hope it didnt spoil the rest of the game for you too much!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you thought it was pretty <3 I understand I didn't explain the breeding mechanics very well, people don't like long tutorials and so I kinda panicked about how much hand-holding to do versus let people experiment (the game can currently be won without any breeding necessary so I just erred on the side of under-explaining).

I really appreciate your feedback though, if I decide to "finish" the game and add more, I will be sure to do a better job of explaining that stuff. I'm glad you liked the trinkets dangling from the wand, that's low key my favorite part too, lol

I can't believe I went to all the trouble of adding a "tutorial" and forgot the most basic step of telling people they could actually MOVE with wasd. Oh my gosh, I'm such a forgetful dummy. I'm glad you figured it out and still enjoyed yourself, thank you so much for playing!

Ah, I'm glad you rated my game, because I've been looking for this game since I saw it in the jam general discord, but I forgot the name. I've been wanting to play and I finally got my chance to play and rate on the last possible day, lucky me! So, I knew I would, but I love it! It's so friggin cute! I love the main character sprites and animation, the cozy environment, the cute butterflies, and the little cozy ending door. You nailed the vibe you were going for perfectly. I like the concept of shooting a wand that brings life/plants to the environment (not kidding, I had a similar jam game where you made plants grow by jumping lol), but shooting a magical orb is such a good way to give that mechanic a puzzley twist. And the puzzles were fun but very generous thanks to the butterflies that help you get just a little more progress when you miss spots, that's a very considerate feature. I also really like the sound effects, especially the sound when the mousey is aiming, it sounds like shes reallllly concentrating.

I definitely plan on fixing the bugs, and I'm still undecided on how much content I want to add. Originally, the overscoped version of the game was gonna have lots of additional stuff and I still kinda want to add that, but only if enough people actually seem interested, of course. Thank you so much for playing and letting me know you'd like to play a more complete version <3 I really appreciate it!

Wow, you got really good this week! Thank you for giving my game your time, it's an older game so it feels really nice when someone plays it and does well. You're officially on the leaderboard! <333

Yeah it's just as addicting as I expected it to be from watching the stream. Very satisfying to win the encounters, but also weirdly satisfying to die because of the fun blood animation, lol. I guess that's a good thing with how much I'm dying. The art looks great, as you know, and I agree with others that the tense atmosphere is heightened by having no music. I can't believe it's your first game jam (is it your first game, period?) It's very polished, a great game, congrats!

Oh no worries, two of my worst bugs don't happen in the engine either, I was shocked to see the problems in the build. I get it lol

Very cute little game. I love that you can play as Insandio or Shovel, and I liked all the flavor text (especially for the toilets lol). The door sizes were a little tight, and sometimes hard to get through, but it wasn't too bad. A cute and relevant entry for the theme, congrats on your first jam!

Perfect use of the theme! I love that the motivation was walking the dog, very relatable! This could have been a lovely point and click game, as pawnxpawn said. The art for the doggy was very cute, and I really appreciate that you included the option to pet the dog (that's the most important part of any game lol). Congrats on your first time entering a jam!

I see it didn't get finished in time, but at least the art is super cute!

I saw this on the stream and wanted to try! I got a B, which is better than I expected to do, lol. I love the color scheme and art (the main character is so cute and the running is very fluid looking). It's a very fun, satisfying game to mess around in. Surprised to see it's a first time entry, it's wonderful and fun. Congrats on the first jam entry, and congrats on getting played on stream <3

I enjoyed the drawing part, it got pretty hard when I had to remember where the lines were, but it was fun. Everything worked really well, was well made, I realized way too late I didn't have to actually type the real words, only any random letters, but it was fun to challenge myself I guess, lol. I liked the background art a lot, and the UI as well. Good job!

Possibly my favorite game of the jam, as soon as I saw it on stream, I was so excited to play it. It's got such an epic feel, super polished UI, great concept, and it actually fits the theme so so well. Literally such a winner. I would absolutely buy this on steam, I cant believe it's your first jam. I hope you're really proud of this!

It took me a minute to understand it, but the tutorial helped me figure it out. I think this is a really creative idea, I don't think I've seen anything like it, and for that you get bonus points. I also think it fits the theme pretty well. Takes me back to my days of childhood gymnastics, lol. It's a really cute concept, very clever.

This is your first game jam? It came out really great, lots of content for a jam! I love the twist on a normal platformer by having you suck up enemies once you get to your ship. Feels like vengeance for them getting in your way or hurting your earlier in the level, lol. You chose some really cute assets and I liked the sound effects as well. Congrats on your first jam!

Really polished and surprisingly detailed game. The UI, the sprites, the music, sfx, and structure are all terrific, it must have taken you forever to get all this done. I was pretty bad at it unless I relied very heavily on my minion guys, but I think that was intended maybe? Very fun, good job!

Deceptively hard for such a simple concept, but quite fun! I really like the whole idea of this, and I think the throwing mechanic feels very satisfying. The pixel art dudes are cute, and the throwing sound effect makes my ear happy. My main suggestion would be a way to change potion colors without having to stand still, because I'm not skilled enough for that lol. Good game!

Sounds like a lot of thought has gone into the narrator as a character, I'm sure he'll be great in your other project. If you ever polish this game up and add other paths or endings or something, do let me know!

Wow, this is really intricate and well made, especially for a first time game jam. I found all the art so charming and creepy (especially the bug that the dude didn't acknowledge even existed). I loved the concept, 5/5 creativity. I did my best to give good outcomes only to all the "competitors" in the simulation, but sometimes it didn't give me choice. It was dark, but at least it was also funny. This could be a full game with a little polish and a little more content.

Btw, one time the seal ran out of the computer, and I'm not sure if it was a bug or not, but it was pretty funny.

I can't believe this doesn't have more ratings. Congrats on the first jam, great job!

Clever mechanics and I liked that the game had a backstory. The sprite for Kali looked really cool, and the facility looked neat as well. You picked great music to set the atmosphere as well. I do wish I could have reloaded faster, but that's just because I'm impatient. Congrats on your first game jam, this was a really neat entry!

Haha, she wasn't kidding about the restaurant being unusual. I really thought the humor was cute, and so were all the sprites. I dunno why I was so invested in the little story, but I was. Thank god her son was alright! I enjoyed my experience a lot playing this game, thanks!

I'm sorry your very first game and very first game jam had an upload issue. I wish I could play it! I'll rate the screenshots instead, even if it may not be perfect. Congrats on making a game for the jam, that's the most important part, even if it didn't get uploaded.

Fits the theme really well, and I appreciate the nice clean style and intuitive purchase menu. I did wish it had some sound, especially to help me time the beginning of the race, but overall it's a great first jam entry. Good job!

This is amazing and ambitious for a first jam! I had so much fun trying to min/max things and the little animal sprites were sooo cute (even though none of them stayed in their pens, lol). Really creative and fun game, my only critique right now would be that the feeding goes a bit slow. Maybe let the staff do some of it, or make it quicker to select and feed the animals.  Otherwise, amazing job, and congrats on your first jam!

Very cute, lots of adorable/funny dialogue. I had to play it when I saw what it was about, that's such a cute interpretation of the theme. I wish I could have finished it, but I got stuck on the date, when I had to choose an answer about the resolution making the slime look fat, or search for something. I couldn't find what I was searching for or find any other way to move on. In my heart I choose to believe the hero and slime lived happily ever after.

Congrats on your first game jam! The environment looks lovely, and it was really satisfying collecting hundreds of wood, just running through massive piles of it, lol. I liked the ending (especially the drawing you did) Simple but definitely a cute little game! Good job!

I love stealth games, so I had a lot of fun here. I really like that you gave the player a lot of speed, it made the game play feel smooth and not frustrating. The character/portrait art is really nice, and I like the music as well. The interactions with the cyborgs were pretty fair as well, which was perfect for a quick jam game.

How cute! A 3d survival crafting game for your first game jam is so ambitious, I'm impressed. It looks really nice, and I think getting started on a deserted island fits the theme perfectly. I enjoyed the low poly style, and I really got a giggle out of the player's shadow being a classic capsule. I couldn't get the tent, I had too much trouble getting my mouse to interact with the objects in the environment (probably a webgl issue), but I still enjoyed this entry a lot! Congrats on your first jam!

What a beautiful game! The puzzles are pretty, and the ending animation is lovely too! I had a few glitches with the final puzzle, my mouse wouldn't appear on the screen, so I had to guess where I was clicking and it kept clicking the wrong spots. But other than that, it was a really good game. My favorite puzzle was number 2 (but I would have loved puzzle 3 as well, if it weren't for the pointer frustration). Great job!

Did you make all the assets yourself? They look great! The shooting was super fun and smooth, and the game was straightforward and easy to understand. I didn't run into any bugs, which was great, although it was hard to get ammo at times. Congrats on your first game jam, I think it turned out really well!

Short and sweet. I liked the movement, the super high jumps felt really nice and the ability to land places barely out of reach was generous. I also noticed how your stick character was actually animated really nicely, which I appreciated a lot. Congrats on your first game jam!

Very cute take on the theme. I'm sorry you lost your team, but I think what you came up with still works under the circumstances. The music is lovely! And I like the scrolling star background you did (I did the same thing, lol). Congrats on persisting through adversity and just getting something made!

Cute little game! I got confused there was only a tutorial, but I see you had very limited time working on this, less than 5 days, so I totally understand you couldn't exactly cram it with content. I love the layout/design of the menu and UI, that really shines here. The doom style movement is very unique these days, so I found that pretty cool. I really appreciate that you took the trouble to make a map in the upper corner, it was super helpful! Anyway, nice game and congrats on completing your first game jam!
