How does your game fit the theme?
"Starting Again" is an emotional reflection on loss, resilience, and personal transformation. It tells the story of a former Olympic marathon runner whose career is abruptly ended by a devastating injury. Stripped of his identity as an athlete, he is forced to face the painful question: Who am I now? The game explores his inner journey as he tries to rebuild himself—not as the person he was, but as someone new. It's a quiet meditation on starting over when everything you once lived for is gone.

this game is so beautiful, made me cry... it would be nice for a third part adding another race again but this time with him winning for disclose!
Narration is good. You could add more feedback that inputs are being successfully registered. Doesn't have to be sound but could flicker the spacebar icon. Something.
The story felt pretty personal for some reason; lots of detail went into it. The story is good and the animations were top tier.
narration of this game is top notch , the story really fits the theme of getting started , the slow pacing sets up the vibe of the game , enhance the ambience of the story. There is some jittering of the character but other than that , the game is cool. Would love if you try mine

I really enjoyed the story of the game (as I can relate, being an athlete and getting injured, and having to restart my running from scratch was a really painful experience). Personally the start felt a bit slow paced, but I can totally understand why, to set the mood. Great job on the jam, and nice interpretation of the theme.

Hey guys, for some reason the game isn't working properly in the WebGL version. If possible, please use the downloadable version instead.
I'm not sure if the rules allow it, but here's the same version of the game — now without the WebGL bug.
Web Version
For whatever reason I couldn't get the guy to get up again after the first fall. I will however say that the visuals are very nice, the music is good, and the themes are very clearly communicated, so that is nice.
