Can’t believe I found this game after the ratings ended, it's so good! The visuals are fantastic, giving off strong DS-era vibes mixed with Animal Crossing-style characters. The sound effects are great, and the combat is really fun! Each enemy having unique attack patterns keeps things feeling fresh. And the characters are absolutely adorable!

Amazing work guys! I would’ve given this a full rating if I had the chance 😭

A fun little platformer! Sorry I didn’t get to rate it during the jam, but it looked too good to pass up, so I had to give it a shot. The animations are fantastic, and I loved the ability upgrades you get as you progress, the Nyan Cat hover ability was definitely my favorite! The sci-fi setting was really cool, too.

Most of the issues I had have already been mentioned by others, so all I can say is: great job! With a bit more polish and some tweaks, this could easily turn into something amazing.

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you liked them hehe

Thank you!! Happy you pointed that out hehe

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback!

A few people have pointed out how unintuitive the restart function is, especially since the game encourages experimentation and iteration so fixing that has become my top priority for the post jam update! Adding an auto restart feature sounds like a great idea too, and I’ll definitely look into it.

As for food balancing, I totally get that pizza and beans are a bit overpowered… but they’re just too fun to nerf 😭 I might just design levels specifically around them if they start messing with the current level design.

Again, really appreciate the thoughtful feedback super glad you still enjoyed the game! <3

Thanks so much for playing!! And yes a previous comment has brought up the frustrating aspect of restarting the levels. Fixing that for the post jam update will be my top priority. Will also add the trajectory line for the food as well.

As for the score system, an interesting suggestion. Will take note of that, thanks!

Ooh, i thought i already fixed the first bug. And this is the first time I've heard of the second bug. Ill try to fix it for the post jam update, thanks for the letting me know! And glad you still enjoyed the game regardless hehe

Thanks for playing!! Really gratefull for all the support! And i actually did play and rated your game a couple of days ago! It was fun!

SHGSKSHSJS my bad 😭😭

Thank you so much!!!

I don't knoww but im super happy and grateful it blew up 😭 I'm really glad you enjoyed it too!!

Glad you enjoyed all aspects of the game! I actually used the Seasonal Tilesets by GrafxKid as a base reference, then modified and expanded on them with my own tiles and artwork where I felt it fit the game better.

Thank youu!! I had the upper hand of being unemployed so i was able to work on it at least 10 hours a day 😬😬

Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it

Nooo don’t apologizee 🥺🥺 you did an amazing job submitting your first game! You should be really proud of that! Seriously, finishing and putting something out there is already a huge achievement. I’ll definitely check out the updated version once it’s out, looking forward to seeing how it grows!

I GOT STUCK AT THE ELECTRONIC PART 😭😭😭 The game’s so good so far, but I just can’t seem to fit in the four pieces, it’s so frustrating!! That said, I’m determined to finish it. The game really reminds me of The Room in the best way possible.

Since there’s not much time left to rate, I’ll base my rating on what I’ve played so far, I absolutely love it. The puzzles are so satisfying to solve, the progression feels great, and the worldbuilding through the journal is a nice touch. I especially love how the journal reflects the alchemist’s personality.

The visuals are clear, and the sound effects are well done. It’s genuinely a fantastic game… if only I wasn’t such a big dumbo. Really well made for a first puzzle game! Great job!

The visuals here are really well done! Movement felt a bit too rigid though, it would be nice if the spaceship turned more smoothly. I think all the feedback I'd like to give has already been mentioned by others, so all I’ll say is: great job! You did super well for your first game jam entry!

Really neat puzzle platformer! It’s a shame it’s so short, I’d love to see the mechanics expanded, especially the mode switching, has a lot of potential. The visuals are quite nice too, surprisingly polished especially for a first game jam entry. Great work! I’d definitely love to play more, hehe.

First off all, even before playing, I was blown away by how good the game's Itch page looks, I didn’t even know you could do that on Itch! The visuals are absolutely stunning. The post-processing is just right, and the parallax effects are beautifully done.

I did feel like the screen shake was a bit much, but that might just be me nitpicking. The visual and sound effects are really well-crafted. I personally didn’t mind the slow movement, it made the gameplay feel deliberate and really sold the weight and chunkiness of the robot.

The puzzles are nicely designed, but I got stuck at the part where you're supposed to cut the cable. I had the blue robot hit the switch, but nothing happened. I’ll definitely continue once I figure out the solution though! Stellar presentation, great work!

I love the artstyle in this! The dialogue is fantastic, and the humor is absolutely on point, had a few chuckle watching and closing those popup images lol. Short and sweet. Great job!

The gameplay is so fun! I had a blast trying to complete the level as fast as possible while avoiding detection. The level design is excellent, it complements the stealth mechanics really well, with plenty of places to hide and take cover. The weapons, especially the shuriken, made me feel like a ninja.

Movement feels good overall, but I found the wall jump a bit tricky to pull off. I also really liked the brief grace period where you can still perform an assassination even after being detected, a nice touch!

That said, I’m still a bit unclear on how the detection system works. There were moments where I was sure I was out of sight, even behind a wall, yet the enemies still spotted me.

As for the boss, it didn’t quite fit the rest of the gameplay in my opinion. The fight mostly boiled down to hiding during attacks and striking when it stops, it felt a bit out of sync with the stealth focus of the game.

Still, I really enjoyed playing this. Amazing work for a first game jam entry! Praying this gets polished and published, I crave for 2D stealth based games

WOW this is such a great game! The core mechanic is really unique and fun, climbing feels incredibly satisfying, and the absence of enemies or hazards gives it a relaxing vibe. The shovel mechanic was also very intuitive. Everything just feels so polished. I’d love to see a full version of this. Full rating from me!

Really interesting and unique game! I can totally see this being a roguelike deckbuilder akin to Balatro if there were  more cards to buy. Massive potential here, great job!

A really interesting premise! Though I’m sorry, I wasn’t quite sure what I was supposed to do. A simple marker or indicator to guide the player would really help. That said, I loved the character flapping his arms while swimming or falling, it was super charming and cute! The movement also feels really nice. It's still impressive that you managed to make and publish this with such little time, so massive props for that. Great work!

Such minimal dialogue, yet it managed to tell so much. Really solid storytelling. I loved how we got to control Simon at the very end, possibly hinting at him continuing his father’s legacy. The visuals were great, and the art style was really nice too. I enjoyed this short but meaningful experience. Well done on your first game jam!

Such a cute take on the theme! The minigames are a lot of fun, and I really appreciate the inclusion of a skip button, I couldn’t get past the typing game, but thanks to that, I was still able to enjoy the whole experience. The art style is vibrant and adorable, and the sound effects are quite good. Overall, I had a pleasant time with this one. Great job on your first game submission!

Really cute art style! The gameplay is smooth and controls feel great, but I think the visuals could use a bit of improvement. It would help if the background were less saturated and had lower contrast cuz right now, it distracts players from the oncoming obstacles. Speaking of which, the baseball was pretty hard to notice. Increasing its size or adding an outline would really help with visibility. Overall, a pretty cool game!

Gameplay feels really solid, and I love having meta progression in endless-type games, it makes each run feel more rewarding and pushes me to aim for a higher score. That said, some hit feedback for both the player and enemies would really enhance the experience. A simple red tint on the player when taking damage would help indicate hits, and having enemies flash red or play a hurt sound effect would make it clear that my attacks are landing. Overall, this is a great foundation to build on, just needs a few tweaks here and there. Congrats on your first jam entry!

Really polished game! Love the art, visual effects and the sound design! The mechanics are creative as well. Jumping, dashing and moving feels responsive and precise. Id say one thing that you can improve on is the background. The foreground is clear but it would be better for the background elements match with the atmosphere. eg having to trees more blue as you get further. Other than that, had a great time with this one.  Impressive for your first game jam submission!

I really love the idea and gameplay for this, its so relatable. But unfortunately i couldnt finish the game. It was personally a bit too difficult for me cuz some of the hearts ive tapped didnt register, i couldnt raise my dopamine/motivation fast enough. Would love to have the tapping more responsive. Love the idea but the execution could be better! Will be coming back if you decide to have a post jam update!

This was really fun to play! I loved the little minigames for each task, they added a lot of charm. I managed to find everything except the jump task. The art style is great, and the music and sound effects are solid too. Overall, a really well-made game!

AAA such a cute game!! I love the art and color palette, and the music perfectly matches the whimsical and playful vibe. Nothing else to say except great job on finishing your first jam!

I absolutely loved the humor in this game! The pixel art is adorable, the sound effects are great, and the bomb minigame was fun. The dialogue with Mike was phenomenal, and the ending had me laughing, absolutely hilarious. Honestly, I have no complaints. Just a damn good experience. Great work!

The doodle art style is pretty neat! It would be even better if the UI and text were hand-drawn as well, that would really tie everything together and make the doodlestyle feel more cohesive and intentional. Also, props for pulling off a multi-attack animation, that’s pretty cool! My only complaint is that the movement could be a bit faster. Other than that, it was a fun little experience. Great work for your first jam entry!

Neat little experience! Also the pixel art is pretty good. Great work on your first jam entry!

I have to say, this is by far the best platforming game I've played in this jam and I don't say that lightly! At first, I was a bit turned off by the dash cooldown mechanic, but once you introduced more of the glitching elements, it all started to make perfect sense. I loved how every single mechanic is either tied to or interacts with the dash. The game and level design are both incredibly well thought out, and I especially appreciate the open-ended approach that lets me tackle each level my own way.

That said, I do have a few pieces of feedback, though! I've read the other replies, so I’ll try to point out things that haven’t already been mentioned:

  • The generic enemy blends in with the background a bit too much. It would be great if it had higher contrast or an outline for added clarity.

  • The crates didn’t feel get implemented well enough. I love the idea of glitching the particle effects, but the explosion felt too random. Making the explosions more uniform and predictable would really enhance their usefulness and impact.

  • The mouse boss fight is really well done! The variety in attack patterns is super creative and kept me on my toes (I haven't beaten it yet, it's pretty tough). That said, it would be helpful to have clearer damage feedback—at times I couldn’t tell if my attacks were landing. Also, the hitbox felt a bit unclear; I was certain I was outside the cursor sprite, but I still ended up dying.

Aside from those points, I absolutely love the character design and the little glitchy animation she has, it's such a nice touch. Once you tweak the issues mentioned (both here and in other feedback), this could become a truly fantastic game. Amazing work! And I'm definitely craving for more!

The gameplay is fantastic! There’s massive potential for it to become a speedrunning type game here. It also has a strong core mechanic that's perfect for building on top of. The revving sound effects are super satisfying, and the dynamic camera zooms really enhance the feeling of speed. The visual effects (especially the blood) are also really satisfying to look at.

My only suggestion would be to make the overheat mechanic more visually apparent on screen. For example, you could gradually tint the screen red as the engine approaches overheating. Right now, it's a bit frustrating to have to constantly glance at the bar instead of focusing on the oncoming obstacles. Aside from that, really enjoyed my time with this one!

A shame about the game breaking bug, the cover art looked so promising too :(

Will definitely try this out post jam!

Thank you so much for playing!! The grid snap was made so that it doesnt have to be pixel perfect but it would be really great if i can have the 16pixel grid snap working.

Thanks for playing!
