Together with some friends from university, we’ve created a BattleBots inspired game where you build and program your own autonomous robot. Then, you can fight your robot against other robots in the arena.

If you love BattleBots, engineering/building games, or want to get into programming, consider giving it a chanse

The programming system is heavily inspired by Stormworks’ microcontroller editor, so if you’ve ever played Stormworks, you’ll feel right at home.

The crafting was an interesting mechanic, the animations felt really smooth, and the paralax background effect was a really nice touch too, I feel like this could definitely be expanded upon outside of the gamejam, great job!

A fun and creative little game, good job!

I liked the art, I encountered some issues however, if you shoot in some areas, like in the beginning for example the projectiles block your path and prevents you from progressing. Making it so the projectiles disappear after a couple of seconds would be nice

Thanks a lot for the feedback, really appreciate it! Yeah we had to reduce the amount of people that were spawning in because of performance reasons in the web version, we originally had about twice as many people to infect per level which made the game more fast paced because you have more infected.

Thanks for the feedback, yeah we faced a ton of issues with godots skeletons animations and the fps drop that they cause

Yeah we faced a lot of issues when porting to web, the day before the deadline the executable version ran at about 700fps on my pc while the web version ran at 1 - 3 fps, we finally got it up to about 60 - 144fps on my computer but had to reduce the total unit count which made the game more slow pased 😔

The visuals were fantastic! The gameplay felt a bit one dimensional but still fun for a gamejam game. I think adding more upgade options and more unique enemies would help a lot

The gameplay was really satisfying and the game looks nice,  I loved the grappleing mechanic. If you expand upon the game, consider making the game become harder the longer you stay alive, because at the moment the game was pretty easy and got stale after a while.

Definitely one of the most fun games I have played so far in this jam, good job!
