Amazing music, and I loved the visuals. Congrats on the submission!

Brilliant game! Great Music, good art. The concept of building a village while keeping this monster fed was fun as well... Great entry

Fantastic job! I really enjoyed the balance and easing into things. The only thing I can think to improve on really is an end state (or maybe I didn’t play long enough?) I got to a point where I constantly was feeding mother because there were always enough villagers.

Hey, pdil, thanks for reviewing! The game doesnt have an end yet, so you pretty much saw all the content that is available right now

Amazing entry here, this is super polished. Your UIs are so clean, all your tweens and animations give the whole package a real professional touch. Gameplay wise you built a real nice foundation for a game. The creepy vibes and the task the player has been given really set a tone. They told me to feed the Mother and I kept her full...but how many lives did it take? Another great submission!

Hi system, thank you for the kind words and the review! ☺️

I'm a sucker for both spooky themed but not jumpscary games and idlers in general so I really liked this one.
- Very solid presentation, both in sound design and visuals
- Loved how once you upgrade buildings enough they change visuals
- Appreciate the shortcuts being directly on screen, surprised how these are missing in some big release tycoon/city builder

Wishlist/Random improvement ideas as tribute:
- Wish that instead of repeat clicks you could turn on/off each feed button to autofire when ready
- Wish the game had a communicated end goal or end of content. Took me a while to realise oh wait I got as far as I could (Or I think I have)
- Wish there was more depth or reasons to mix buildings. At first I was excited to unlock new ones but then realized the base buildings seem more reliable as each upgrade netted an extra income of the primary reason you built it in the first place while hybrid buildings leveled up both resources but slower and you are more often than not held back only by Faith late game imho.
- I wish buildings comboed with eachother. Like placing a house near a place of worship generates more Faith per ticks etc.
- I wish there was narrative and mechanical payoff to progress Mother. The buildings changing color as you level them was interesting, I wish similarly the island got more gloomy and corrupt or unlocked entirely new phases as Mother grows stronger. I think tying the research unlocks to Mother's growth would give stronger motivation to feed it and resonate the theme a lot

Hi Scruffy, thank you so much for the detailed review! I haven't decided yet how long I'll update this game, but I'll definitely consider your points, thank you!

Unbelievably polished, super clean execution. Don't really know if there's anything I can add that hasn't been said. Congrats on the submission!

Absolutely in love with the art style and music choice, this makes this simple idle game 100% more enjoyable! I think it would be great if you made the “feed” options scalable with the population, or just remove the feeding cooldown completely. Right now, the end stage is just waiting for the option to become available.

The polish on this was insanely good, the vibes were amazing, the audio was stunning, the art was beautiful and the gameplay was really fun, I wish there was a little bit more in the end game but other than that it's really good

Very nice build game.

All is very polished and the mood is excellent.

The only trouble I've got is about selecting a building to build and can't unselect it, need to click on the top left candle to free selection.

super cool and very well polished, hope to see more progress on this in the future!

Very nice polish, great sound effects and music. I bought all the upgrades pretty quickly. It was fun to optimize what buildings I wanted in the end, but would have been nice to see an end in sight. Overall great job!

Fun but a bit hard to understand what's the end of it.

I played for so long... Absolutely phenomenal game. This deserves the win in my opinion :)

Very polished game but wish it had an objective.  Was fun trying to figure out how to optimize the village

Insanely polished game, I do agree that it definitely needed an ending. Great job on the submission!

Great jam game.

Music, design, SFXs are great.

UI is mostly great, aside from building description covering leftmost building slot.

Gameplay is nice at start, but gets very limited by cooldown of sacrificing. Works fine for jam.

Objective part is over, rest is subjective:

Upgrade system can use some work. Upgraded level should always give more stats, than previous one. If it doesnt - combine cost with next one ’till it does and call it one level.

Faith, research and food should scale with amount of people. Seems wrong that vilage have no followers, but faith increases at rapid speed. Same for food supply increasing without any people to collect it. Same for research.

But, it’s all small-ish details. Great job.
