Interesting idea and concept. At first, I didn’t realize that the left and right arrow keys for moving the fishing rod only work while I'm actually fishing, but it's a fun fishing simulator.

I love the very campy vibe. Whenever I would look back and see the cryptid I was like "Ahhh I gotcha lacking!" as I hear its groan lol. The fishing mechanic is also pretty fun, similar to Stardew Valley's. I immediately went full power the first time and struggled with reeling the fish in and just decided to stay within the 50-60% power range which was a lot more comfortable for me to reel in the fish while checking back.
I only encountered one problem on the download version, the game crashed when the timer reached zero. But that's understandable, the game is very enjoyable overall!
Yeah game force quitting when done is better than not submitting which was what I was going to do, I was (will after the jam) have a leader board and closing story section in the complete web game. I was intending for this game to be only for web but 3D Godot games have issues on some browsers; especially with my rope physics system it seems.
Great Job! I got a final score of 1950$ I love the art and gameplay. This could be expanded on into a full game easily, the art and sound is already there. I found the monster approaching warning sound to be the perfect mix of subtle enough to keep me on my toes, but obvious enough to not feel unfair!
Amazing Job Y'all!
I had about 1000 worth of fish but the Game froze. I was on a chrome based browser so it's probably my fault. I saw the warning and played anyway. Good job though.
Ha, this was actually really fun to play. Probably my favorite fishing (mini-)game in terms of mechanics, including commercial games -- I appreciated that there was a range of challenges to select from. Aesthically it was a really well-set scene too -- loved the reflection in the water.
Lovely game!
This is my favourite submission so far.
Absolutely love the atmosphere!
Yay another fish game! Really like the concept and its quite fun to play with a good atmosphere! Liked it a lot!
Really love the idea and the execution is great too! Having to juggle spotting the monster with reeling in fish is a great mechanic. Although I will say the difficulty of reeling in the tougher fish was too high for me. I played a few games but struggled to catch any of the harder ones.
Downloaded the windows version and played it, absolutely love the style and concept! The mechanics for actually keeping the fish on the line feels too "floaty" (as in I couldn't even tell at some points if my input was actually registering) to feel like the fish catches past the early ones are earned, let alone the hard ones actually being catchable (at least to me lol). But absolutely cool concept!
That was 100% intentional but totally fair that it doesn't 'feel' good (you have to hold down the direction), the hit box was more visible but I made it more subtle to not be distracting so I see that was actually a mistake because it sounds like you couldn't see it. All of the fish are too easy for me but a play tester could never catch the hardest one so you're not alone, if you cast out far you will always encounter a 'difficult' catch so you were actually just casting out further and further naturally making the game more difficult lol.
Strong ambience and aestethic here, good job! I like the idea of fishing wile having to look over your shoulder, but not sure what, if anything, was supposed to happen back there? I caught several fishes, sounds like the further you go the harder it gets, but other than that nothing hapenned. I did notice your comment saying this was unfinished.
This seems like a basic, but solid base to a very nice and creepy cozy game.
Interesting game, really good job juicing the fishing, I like how the entire UI rotates when you move the hook left and right.
Cable physics are pretty nice as well.
I also played this on Edge, seemed to work fine for me.
