Fantastic setting for the game. I loved the little bug-robot and his janky IK.

The cosmic creature was terrifying. I hate the fact that it blinks!

But I have a complaint.

I tried this game on the first voting day and failed to complete because it was too dark to go through the cave. Today my curiosity returned and I decided to try again and randomly found a flashlight near one of the tapes.

That key item should be more prominent.

Regardless, cool stuff!

Well, I did confess that I got this general idea from a reddit post.

Glad it was enjoyable!

Thanks!

Your video is an invaluable piece of feedback for me! It's insane how much QoL stuff you can miss without playtesters (not that I was likely to fix lots of those flaws in such tight time, lol). Now I have an idea on what to work with the next time.

I did find your speech crystal clear btw, so I wouldn't worry about it too much :)

Thanks for having me!
Super exciting to watch someone play your own game for the first time.

I know exactly the scare you're talking about!
It was supposed to be a part of the (very) occasional events system that's intended to spice things up, but happened to be the only event there (and not a very creative one), heh

Glad you enjoyed it regardless!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! :)
I did increase the range on the axe to help dealing with the lowest board, but I feared it won't be enough.
Anyways you don't even have to destroy them as stepping over is an actual mechanic.

No way. The creature made an absolute fool of me.

The menu music for some reason reminds me of Penumbra Overture menu theme, especially coupled with the winter atmosphere. And I love it!

This is haunting and beautiful.

It took me good 5 seconds to realize what I see in the last shot and it made it struck extra hard.

Alright.
Of course the jumpscare happened when I got distracted and made me jump.

Great stuff.
I see lots of Hotline Miami and (maybe?) Darkwood inspirations.

I liked it overall, but...
Enemies appearing from behind without any sign and sound turns it into a sort of memory game where you have to go through a level multiple times to remember the enemy placement and only then can you beat it.

That's the only criticism I got.
Good job!

Yo! Check this one out:

It may have a little bit of learning curve if you're not familiar with Minesweeper.
Anyways Discord name is the same as at Itch. Thanks!

Love the visuals and atmosphere of this one.
Trees having eyes-like marks drawing attention to the sky obstructed by a network of tree branches was a nice touch - gives you that feeling of being a minuscule ant in an unknown place.

The story follows a classic horror trope. Nothing special to say about it. Was hoping for something more.

Sorry, developer of the plugin I used for character controller resolution made movement framerate-dependent.
The speed is fine on stable 60 fps.

Yep, I absolutely adore titles of Frictional Games!

They're a big reason I became a game dev, so naturally I take a lot of inspiration from them.

Glad you enjoyed it!

The atmosphere of this one had me tense!

The ending was quite anticlimactic, but that's fine, considering the time limit.

Lovely game!

This is my favourite submission so far.

Absolutely love the atmosphere!

Simple but great submission! That Cry of Fear inspiration is undeniable.

Love the art style as well!

Oh, no.

Don't tell me you didn't notice that the stove had a lid.

Every person so far had issues with that, because I made the glass shader too clean, lmao.

Thanks for feedback!

I never even realized that I made glass shader almost invisible. No wonder people struggle with it xD

Enjoyed watching your commentary a lot!

(I really should've made stove's glass dirtier, eh? xD)

Pleasantly good game. Nice!

Reminded me Amnesia: The Bunker with that main objective :P

Gross. I love it!
Simple but effective. Well done!

A little bit bumped by the fact that your choices don't matter, but that's fine for the time limit.

Enjoyed it a lot! Well done, devs!

Yo, if the game doesn't run follow the instructions from download page on the Itch.io game's page itself.

🤍

Atmosphere is on point!
But the balance is broken. It's really hard to learn how to avoid enemies when they stack up after every tape and you have to start over every time you fail.
Overall extremely impressive work. Enjoyed it a lot!

Yo! Sorry for not making it clear enough :p
You need to get rid of items (crates) off the door. You might need to sit down to reach for crates (CTRL) and drag them. Then upon interaction with the door (LMB), the character will lead you to the further tasks.

I belieeeve the problem with indicators comes from the fact that I made raycast for the interaction with draggable objects way too short :p
Noted that! Thanks! :)

Yeaah, I'm a fan of those Amnesia-like interactions with objects :)

Whoa, that was intense! The progression of a ghost feeling like no thread to full blown problem is really well done!

Great atmosphere and sound design in here! I like how you need to take care of two things at the same time (sneaking and breathing) to get past the monster.

The ending caught me off guard. Good job!

Fun and challenging! The only criticism I have is that 10 answers might be a little bit too much, as it gets boring quick after loss

Oh, wow, definitely my favourite one in the jam so far.
Love the mystery and the way this game progresses to solve it.

I would like to see an expansion on this idea. Great job!

Oh nooo. Highly appreciate the report! I'll look into it immediately.

Glad you still enjoyed it!

Happy to hear that, thanks :)

Very impressive work for only 7 days. I see a dev that knows what he/she is doing. Good luck with the development!
